Knits & Knots Tahoe is a mini yarn shop located @ 989 Tallac Ave. (inside Wildwood DIY Boutique, next to Gaia-​Licious). Knits & Knots offers yarn, knitting, crochet and fiber spinning supplies. 1-​on-​1 lessons and group lessons are offered.

The owner of Knits & Knots was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe. She is a maker, a knitter and a mom to an adorable 5-​year old little girl. When she isn’t working from home part-​time in the textile business, she is dreaming up endless creative ideas.

Excited to find a yarn shop close to the resort. Got there just as it opened. The owner was not there but her cousin Calista was so friendly she showed me yarn nice yarn for my plans to knit something with the colors of lake tahoe and the smoky mountains. Although the selections were limited and a tad expensive after all it is Lake Tahoe…. The shop had all types of unique jewelry and art from local artist. I did buy a beautiful agate stone that was the colors of the tahoe landscape! Carlista took a picture of the agate and sent to her daughter to make earrings for me hoe cool is that we become instant friends if there is such a thing but we really connected. I talked to her about my love of crafts and knitting and that I was thinking of moving to Reno. I am a nurse at the VA and may transfer she talked about her grandfather who is a veteran and she loves the VA in Reno! We exchanged numbers and become facebook friends. Going back on Thursday to knit!
