This is a late review but figured hey I did one I should get this done now. Last time I was in Katie cut my hair. She nailed it! It is amazing! It’s been about 2 months my hair is still great. No weird grow out, and just all around perfect. She was very honest about how and what I should do with my hair. I have 3 kids and was tired of the flat blaw look. I wanted something that was simple but still had character. She got it just right. Told me to try the layers she gave me and if I want more when I come back we will do more. I can’t wait to go back. My husband an kids love it here too. Happy family here.

Walked in and sas seated immediatel, Sabrina did a great job and cool chick. If you’re looking for a solid cut for a solid price come here.

I needed a haircut and was overdue. I checked Unilocal and made an appointment to go to Classic Cuts. I was very pleased with my haircut by Ellen. She did a great job and I would go back to her again. Great haircut at a great price.

ABSOLUTELY love her touch and gentle technique for cutting my hair. She delivered exactly what I was looking for, was friendly and professional.
I will be back for a color correction but right now, I am completely satisfied with my cut and the price too!

Before I Married a Hair Stylist, this was my go-​to place for a haircut. I mean for $ 10 in Tahoe for anything is a Deal worth not passing up. Now it’s been about 18 months since ive stepped foot into this place, nor remember many of the stylist that were there but I can say one thing about the ladies who did work here. Not only did they know what they were doing but they would do ir follow any direction you gave em, as they would allow feedback to you.
Kim, was the stylist id go to for about everything, but unsure if shes there. But id say, if you are on a budget, and need a quick cut. Stop on by this shop, it’s located in the same building as Mom’s place, right next door to Tahoe Vapery.

Inexpensive with excellent service and the Hair stylists are all nice, courteous, polite, attentive and diligent, except one, hence for only a four star rating. _​_​_​erine listens with her mouth, inattentive, no bed side manner whatsoever and purely LAZY. She started off the usual «whaaat can I dooo for you». I politely asked her to TRIM OFF this much and motioned with my fingers (about 3/​8″). However, half way through my last words, she squawked off «you want half inch, ¾ inch, whaaat? And so I said trim off 3÷8» and also again motioned with my fingers. And again mid way through the last words she squawked off you want a number three. Somehow the conversation ended there to my regret (who knows what a #3 is).
Next thing I know she had zapped out a large swat off my hair with the «Number 3». What it did was leave 3/​8″ hair instead of trimming 3/​8″ off the original hair. Too late my worst nightmare with a hair dresser did finally happen. And the Bimbo after realizing her mistake apologized dryly. She went on with her zapper a few more times and she was done — my quickest hair cut, ever all two minutes or less of it. Well not really for she missed a few spots which I pointed out and so goes a few more zapping with the #3. My Better Half and I are definitely returning to this shop, however is staying out of that Bimbo’s #3.

I’ve gotten trims here often. I’ve probably been here 10 times since I’ve lived in Tahoe. I would recommended it to locals and tourists both but how can I recommend a place that is so inconsistent with their pricing ??? (See my tip about the women’s hair cut price change last year). So today getting a quick trim which takes less than all the men’s hair in here (literally done while everyone else is still being worked on when they got seated before me) I didn’t expect to pay $ 15 again when the last time –despite the price change — they charged me the reasonable $ 10 and when I mentioned it, the girl said «yea we had a discussion with our owner it doesn’t make sense to charge every one $ 15 when some people have less hair to cut». Now they apparently had another meeting and it changed again. It’s only a $ 5 difference and it’s not about the money it’s the principle and being consistent. This place has been here long enough they should have pricing figured out. Plus that $ 5 is usually the tip, now I just feel like I’m being cheated.
At first I was used to paying $ 10, then I had to pay $ 15, and the last time I only had to pay $ 10, now I have to pay $ 15 again !!! Can you see why I’m frustrated?! This is so annoying why can’t my simple fine hair be trimmed at a price that doesn’t vary from visit to visit !!!
While I was waiting for my boyfriend who’s hair takes more time than mine I noticed 2 men paid $ 15 each, ok then, so it’s $ 15 across the board. I see. Then my boyfriend got charged $ 10. What the hell?! How do they determine who gets charged what?! Yes it says $ 15 woman’s cuts but if the last time I came in and I was automatically charged $ 10 because of my hair type I wouldn’t be mad but now I came back and the price changes again. So frustrating !!! It’s like I’m being discriminated against for being a female with super fine hair. Why don’t you guys just charge everyone $ 15 to be fair?!? So ridiculous.
Imagine this scenario. Bruce Jenner is your client, he gets charged $ 10, he now comes in as a woman so you charge him $ 5 more based on his apparent sex even though he has the same amount of hair at a different length ?? Is that not discrimination??? This simply doesn’t make sense to me.

Looks sketchy from the outside but inside is clean and professional. We were visiting Tahoe and my 12 year old son needed a gaircut. Based on the reviews we gave it a try. Best haircut he has ever had and least expensive.

They fit me in right away and my stylist was amazing! Great price, great cut, great staff!

Scheduled an appointment the day of my wedding bright and early. I was the first person to come in that day. I didn’t catch the name of the lady who cut my hair but she did a phenomenal job. Maybe the best haircut I have had. I am perfectionist when it comes to my haircuts and she knocked it out of the park. A must recommend for anyone looking for a Mens haircut.

My girlfriend and I came to Tahoe last minute and decided we wanted to look a little more clean cut for are trip. Out first stop before even checking in to our cabin was Classic Cuts. Unilocal reviews looked good and they were open late. We both got our hair cut. The two ladies who were working that night were extremely friendly and had great suggestions about haircuts that we both took. Needless to say one of the best cuts I’ve had in awhile. I really wish I could remember those ladies names… If your looking for a good to head here!

I honestly only followed Amy over here. I love her styling for my kids and myself and she works so well with young squirmy kids, they feel very comfortable with her. I also love her styling my own hair. Some of the other staff I have to say wasn’t as friendly and definitely need to work on communication as well as making you feel welcome in the shop, but nonetheless they do a pretty good job at cutting hair and you can’t beat the price of course. The shop could definitely use some updating and it looks a bit ragged and run down. But again Amy is hands down my favorite though and the best there in my opinion and for her I go there.

I needed to get my kids hair cuts today. Classic Cuts treated us like gold.
The hair stylists were wonderful and all of my three kids (ages 6.8 and 12) walked out smiling and with lollypops in their mouths (this never happens). They even gave my daughters complimentary French braids and brushed out my 8 year olds knotted hair. I would recommend them highly and go back again in a heartbeat. Quick, down to Earth and very kind!

Had a really long wait as there was only 2 girls working and about 9 people in line along with 2 people getting their hair cut. I got my haircut from Lainey and she was really good about asking specifics about how I wanted my hair cut. The only complaint I had about this place is that it is hard to find (its tucked away in some hotel)

Needed a haircut during a weekend. The wait was not long, the price was great, and the haircut was perfect! Very nice staff!

Needed a haircut while vacationing. Found this gem and couldn’t be happier. Didn’t get the girls name, but she had very long brunette hair, and she did an awesome job on my son’s hair. Went from long and shaggy to a stylish comb over with a a great fade!

AMAZING. It sounds super sketch, $ 10 haircut in a hole in the wall by a motel 8 (or something), right? But the other reviewers are totally right — super friendly and competent staff and a GREAT deal, especially for a quick trim like what I desperately needed. Most places around here are very pricey and seem to specialize in wedding updos, so I’d much rather trust people who actually cut hair on a daily basis, and you should too!

$ 10 for a haircut, plus $ 5 to wash your hair, $ 15 total.
