Blackhawk TaekwonDo has been in business sense 2004 and has now opened a location in South Elgin IL. we are a full line martial Arts supply Store as well as a TaekwonDo School. We have a combined Experience of over 60 years of TaekwonDo and Martial Arts Training and Teaching. Our school was founded on the basic principle that black belts are earned and never given. You will see that the students that attend our school have overall better attitude more confidence and the ability not only to compete in the sport side of TaekwonDo but effectively defend them selves in a real word situation. regardless of age or size.

Master Tony started training in TaeKwondo 1978 in New York in 1982 his parents moved to Kissimee Florida where he trained under Grandmaster Y.K.Kim. In 1987 Master Tony was ranked 1st in the State of Florida in the Walter Weight Division and was ranked 2nd in the Southeast. Master Tony competed in the 1987 Pre-Olympic Games in Tampa Bay Florida and won 1st palce out of 250 people in his division and Grand Champion of the two Day Event. In 1997 Master Tony Tested and passed his first Degree Blackbelt Testing. and went on to compete across the Southeast on national level competitions. In 1989 master Tony tested for his second degree black-belt and became the youngest certified American TaeKwonDo Federation Certified Instructor, Referee and Examiner. At the age of 18 Master Tony enlisted in the United States Army and continued his TaekwonDo training abroad. and even started the U.S. Army TaekwonDo Team. Master Tony is now a 4th degree Black Belt Master. See our site for more info.
