Paws For A Cause is a highly personalized pet sitting service serving Southern Rhode Island. We strive to give your furry family members the best of care while you’re away from home. Your pets are our #1 priority. What makes us unique is that we give back to our community. Therefore 10% of your charge to us will go to the favorite local animal charity of your choice! Business owners Eli Nelson and Lindsay Spann.

History

Established in 2009.

Eli and Lindsay have been pet sitters for four years but officially entered pet sitting industry in 2009. Eli works as a surgical vet tech in S. Rhode Island and Lindsay wanted to start a business while at the same time giving back to the area’s animal shelters.

We started the business in Wakefield but moved to the Warwick area in November 2010. We are still accepting clients in the South County area as well as everywhere in between.

We are members of Pet Sitters International and insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. We are also certified in pet first aid.

Lindsay S.

Business Owner

Lindsay is co-​owner and founder of Paws For A Cause. Lindsay grew up in the big olé city of Los Angeles (California) before making her move to RI. She graduated from UCLA in 2006 with a B.A. in Scandinavian Languages and Public Policy. She has had a love of animals her entire life and is so glad to be part of the pet sitting community. Lindsay is also certified in pet first aid.

In her spare time, Lindsay like to photograph the corgis and nature around the state. She also trained corgi Mulder to pass his Canine Good Citizen and Delta Therapy Dog tests in the summer of 2010.
