I highly recommend Dianna Glidden of Thunderbird Realty’s Capitola office. In the process of acquiring property in the Santa Cruz area, Dianna was not only friendly and efficient, she was knowledgeable, experienced and absolutely honest. She did everything and more when hurdles were reached and researched every aspect of the tiresome paper work that needed to be reviewed and understood. If it wasn’t for Dianna we would never have been able to finalize this purchase. She was a pleasure to work with and is one of the best realtors in Santa Cruz.

We just completed our second real estate deal with David King at Thunderbird Real Estate, and I cannot say enough about Dave as a person and realtor. I met Dave King through a word-​of-​mouth recommendation in a conversation with a stranger at the beach. I was thinking of relocating my family to the Santa Cruz area and was told: «If you are thinking of moving here, you have to talk to Dave King.» So I called him up, and the rest is history. In our first deal together, Dave sold us our family home in Capitola. He listened to my wife and me, sized up our family situation, and found us a beautiful house that has worked out great for all of us. Just recently, Dave again helped us with the purchase of an investment/​income property near Moss Landing. He was extremely professional, and navigated some difficult personalities and situations with style and grace. So impressive. In my estimation, one of Dave’s most impressive qualities or skills is his ability to read people. He is very adept at sizing up a situation, and coming up with an effective strategy to accomplish your goals. Another thing that I have noticed about Dave is that if there is work to be done, he does it NOW. The direct approach. He gets more done in one cell phone call that most seem to in a week. I have worked with several agents over the years and Dave is quite simply the best. It starts with his character. He is a high quality person. Dave cares about me and my family, really cares. David King and I worked together looking at houses, townhouses, and condos from October of 2014-​August of 2015. He is a very patient, knowledgeable broker who never pressures clients. He is a strong listener, knows the market well, and has a very strong local network. (Walking around with Dave is like walking around with a celebrity. — A true testament of how well he treats others.)
Dave’s network is so strong that we have never gone to a property and not been able to go in. He calls listing agents ahead of time and makes very efficient arrangements so that on any given saturday or sunday, we would see three or four properties.
Over the course of buying a home, we made several offers, went into contract once, and I ended up pulling out due to a poor inspection report. I really appreciate his non-​emotional, steady, and strong support. In the end, we got the perfect place!
I am so happy in my new home, plugged straight into my great community, and have Dave to thank for much of my new beautiful environment.

We just bought our first home here in Santa Cruz, with the help of Moshe Vilozny at Thunderbird Real Estate. Moshe is aweome to work with– he’s a Santa Cruz local and knows the area like the back of his hand. He came to open houses with us and helped us narrow down what we were looking for. When we did settle on a house we wanted to make an offer on, he was right there every step of the way. From reviewing inspection reports to making plans for future repairs, he had honest advice for everything.

Avoid this office! I had the unpleasant experience of dealing with Michael Crain this past summer on a house he had listed that he ultimately ended up buying. He had the listing on Trevethan Ave. total fixer but good bones, so dirty he didn’t want his son in the house while he was holding the open house. I had my offer in at over asking, he then sends an email to my agent that he was originally interested in the home, then changed his mind as he didn’t want to be so close to the freeway and the «smog». He then stated after the offer was submitted that the seller also wanted to carry a second on the home and that he decided to buy it. This was all after my offer and several others were submitted. Talk about unethical! The house was listed at $ 699, I offered $ 705. According to records it sold for $ 665. My agent asked him for proof of submission of offers to the sellers, he’s yet to supply that. I sent an email to the broker owner Gail Mayo, heard nothing back.

Though I can’t speak beyond our experience with one of Thunderbird’s sales agents, our feedback is nothing less than 5 out of 5 stars!

Truth be told, we just got lucky and from what I’ve heard from others who also bought or sold property with Ruth, we’re not alone in our high praise. The first thing you will feel when you meet with Ms. Robinson is rock-​solid confidence that you are in good hands. We called upon Heidi to help us find and buy a home in Santa Cruz county in the summer of 2012. We had an extremely limited budget (275k) and as a family of five, we were looking for at the very least, a large 2 BR or 3 BR that was in decent enough condition to move into without having to make major repairs right away. If you are familiar with this market, you know it’s a tough one, but if you have Heidi helping you, whether you are listing or buying, you won’t be disappointed.
To make a long story short, we had hard time finding the right place. We were under a time constraint, as our lease was coming up on our rental. Even when things started to look very dismal, Heidi never gave up on us. Even when we were ready to just forget it and rent, Heidi kept working for us. While she was out of town at a conference she called to tell us to drive by a home that might be a good fit for us. It ended up being the home we bought.
The home was bank owned, and Heidi was an expert at guiding us through the process and helping us understand all the steps. She was super responsive and always willing to lend an ear when things became frustrating. She is professional, courteous, kind, honest, and works very hard for her clients. We have recommended her, and will continue to do so in the future. Please think of Heidi Robinson if you are buying or selling property in any of her services areas.

and Sebastian Frey was they sellers rep. Everything went pretty smooth with the Escrow and Title Company until it was time to pick up the key. Seb as he calls himself did not make himself available after numerous phone calls to his cell phone until I called his broker then I got an immediate response.
This is not my first experience dealing with Seb. On another property he was not completely honest with us about a property that he had listed and encourage us to make an offer. After scrambling around for a couple of hours putting together a strong offer he informed us that another offer had been accepted. I felt he could have been more honest to us about the interest on the property and already having an offer.
It could be me but I feel like Seb Frey withholds alot of information and lacks integrity. Its all about Seb. He reminds me of another young real estate agent, Chad Waters, that is on the lamb.
I would not refer Seb Frey to any of my friends and I would be careful of any listings he holds.
He gives agents a bad name!
