Floors, Etc. earned a solid five stars from me and I look forward to buying from them again. The day I walked in to look at carpet both Todd and Nancy took time to help me choose a carpet that would take heavy foot traffic and hold up well to spot cleaning thanks to my two dogs. I came home with a number of samples and went back the following day with my choice. Todd came out to measure just a day or two later, ordered the carpet, and it was installed within two weeks from the first day I walked into the store.
The installers were TERRIFIC. The team of Fernando and Scott were lead by Pat, and all three of these young men worked their magic. They were professional, polite, CLEAN and neat, and even put up with my giant dog coming to greet them. They didn’t bump the walls I had just painted, they cleaned up every teeny thread that was left from cutting the carpet, and they were nice enough to move some furniture I was getting rid of to the garage. I had cleaned out as much «stuff» from each of the rooms being carpeted, and they still had to move some very heavy pieces to do the rooms. They did it all without any scratches, complaining, or problems.
Pat even suggested adding a «lip» to the stairs and we are amazed at how much better the stairwell looks with it (it’s called «Hollywood»).
They installed carpet in three bedrooms, a hallway, and the living/​dining room in two days. They arrived on time every day and one morning they called to tell me they would be held up 15 minutes because there was a line at the dump! This was a first – contractors who actually show up EXACTLY when they say they will be there! They did a fabulous job. We have an older house and the floor is uneven where it meets tile flooring it the entry hall. They worked their magic by installing shims or something to make the edges flush. It looks fabulous – I have walked on it barefoot and can’t feel the difference and the vacuum runs from one surface to the other without any problem.
I’m a firm believer that I treat others the way I want to be treated and every single person I dealt with from Floors, Etc. was incredibly wonderful to work with. My carpet is absolutely gorgeous (it looks like a new house), the prices were reasonable and we couldn’t be happier. As I stated above, it was a quick and easy process, they were all incredibly professional, and I am now looking forward to having them install new flooring in my laundry/​storage area. I won’t even shop around – I’ll go straight to Floors, Etc.

I was impressed with Floors Etc. and would use them again. I ordered flooring with stair nosing. Due to construction delays, it was several months before the material was installed. At installation it became clear more nosing would be needed. Despite difficulties from the supplier, Lisa stayed on the problem and got me the necessary nosing to complete the project.

Stay far away from this place with your debit/​credit card. I purchased floors in Feb 2015 and all went well with that transaction. I called again a couple of weeks ago to find out about a bid on a kitchen floor. I was given the name of their installer to make a time to meet for measuring, etc. I called him — no return call. I called back a few days later and he finally did call back later that day. I make an appointment with him, talk to him about the process, etc. The time comes and he is not only a no show, I never heard from him. I call Marie at Floors Etc. who made some comment about how he was on his way — right, I took my lunch time to meet him and he never showed up. We went with someone else for the kitchen floor.
As I was balancing my checkbook over the weekend, I find a $ 2200.00 charge from Floors Etc. I had not purchased anything since February, what is this charge? I called and the person told me I had not paid for the floors in Feb. Well, yes I had and I installed them as well. I would not have been able to take the materials from the store had I not paid. Long and short, the manager, Lisa called me and gave me some story about floors not being paid, no that’s not it, a glitch, etc. They stole $ 2200.00 from my account and will not give me my money back. The manager was supposed to have called me back on Saturday with an update, she did not. She finally called on Monday and told me she would not write me a check, despite the fact that she realized my money should not have been stolen. I made a police report and she told me that if I wanted my money back, I would have to file a claim with the back and she hung up on me. They had no authorization to charge my account at all, especially two months after I bought and paid for flooring material. I have been through the ringer with this manager and back trying to get my money back. Because this is a fraudulent/​criminal act, a investigation must take place and it will be weeks before I will see my money. Wow, many of us trust that if we a company our credit card number they will not abuse it but not these people. I am horrified and disgusted that this company can steal my money without my authorization.
UPDATE: After making the police report and police following through with a phone call to the owner, Lisa, I got my money back. Lisa has not although given me back the $ 10.00 that my bank charged me for this fraudulent transaction. I have asked her several times and so far nothing. Yes, it is only $ 10.00 but even if it was 5 cents, it does not belong to Floors Etc. Do I have to make another police report?

We went in to purchase linoleum for a bathroom. NO PRICES on anything, so we had to ask for a price for each one we liked! Long process.
The lady there set us up for installation and someone was to come out and measure. The guy who was supposed to measure never showed up for the appointment!!!
We were informed that the contractor who had a date to install our linoleum, was not available the day they put us on the calendar.
Not showing up on a Saturday and putting us on hold, WAITING, is not good business. I don’t care how small the job is.
THEY SUCK!

I purchased a 9×12ft piece of linoleum off the bulk cart in the warehouse for a small job in our entrance way. It was $ 150.00 .When I walked in, all the salesman were sitting in the office eating… no one asked if I needed any help. I had to ask a woman to see if she would cut a piece of linoleum for me… she found JD who was nice. I purchased the piece and the warehouse guys loaded it into my station wagon.
The next morning, I gave it to my contractor and when he unrolled it, the entire piece in the middle was crunched and crumbled. It was not useable, so I called the store and told them I was returning it. When I got there, JD told me that he couldnt do anything because it was my fault that I left the linoleum in the car. The manager Joey, came over and he and two other guys who I have never seen started telling me that if I leave a piece of linoleum in the car in the sun, it will ruin it… I told them that I left it in my garage out of the sun… then they told me that I must have damaged it in my car or someone leaned on it and ruined it… I again told them that I left the piece exactly the way it was when the guys loaded it… My sister sat in the back seat next to it, but did not even come close to the piece…, why would she… They basically accused me of lying to them… i.e. bullying a woman… and would not even consider giving me another piece… I was never told that leaving the linoleum in the car overnight would ruin it, if that was the case, I would have removed it… They continued to accuse me of damaging the piece myself and would not do anything for me… I have my arm in a sling, and why would I damage a stupid piece of linoleum? In any case after a lot of yelling, Joey told me that he could give me another piece for $ 75.00.I would rather buy from anywhere else than give them one more dime.
This store has thousands of items with higher prices than anyone, a small 9×12 lousy cheap piece of linoleum doesnt cost them anything! Joey insisted that he was the manager, but then told me that he would have to ask his «mommy» for an ok to give me this generous break. Wow, she must really trust her manager. That was also a lie.
DONT GO TO THIS PLACE, If this is any indication of what management is, they are in big trouble. Joey would be unemployable anywhere else with that level of attitude and arrogance. Zero customer service skills, and no sense of empathy at all. I should have let them all stay in the office eating instead of helping me.

Great carpet at a great price. From the show room to the installation A+ I would refer floors Etc to my family and friends.

I’m giving a 2 star review based on the final interaction we had with Joey and his business. The upfront portion of the sale was excellent — Joey was quick to come to our new home and give us what ended up being what we considered to be a reasonable quote. We wanted to give a local company our business. When he was here, he told us that an additional staircase would be ‘thrown in’. The installation of the carpet (minus that staircase, which was not carpeted the first go round) was excellent — really, really nice. We called about the staircase that they missed. Joey sent what seemed to be a very novice installer to do the job. They guy shows up and gets through ²⁄₃ of the staircase when we realize he’s putting in the wrong color carpet. We call Joey, who calls the guy off — leaving us with a ¹⁄₃ bare staircase and nails exposed on the last carpeted step (we have 2 young children). Well… it stayed this way for weeks until the right carpet and the right guy showed up to finish the job. Then we get a bill for $ 580 for the staircase that was supposed to be ‘thrown in’. I’m writing this review because we literally can’t get Joey to answer our phone calls and we just received a ‘second remittance’ bill that I have finally paid to avoid being sent to collections. So… quality of carpet and installation was great, but the service was literally embarassing. We definitely will not recommend this business to anybody who asks us about carpet or flooring company advice.

We purchased window blinds from this store at a premium price which carried life time warranty. The manufacturer is Hunter Douglas. Some of the blinds had problems with strings not opening and closing and few slats were bent. Floors etc refused to send it to the manufacturer. Their manager, JD or Jerry was very rude, argumentative. We dealt directly with Hunter Douglas. They accepted to repair all the curtains, no problem. Stay away from Floors Etc, their prices are dubious and customer support is non existent.

I’d give zero stars if I could! If you like Tony Soprano you’ll love floors etc. A family affair of smooth talking italian americans who will tell you one thing and do another. Slick sociopath salesman who disappears the minute there’s a problem. Don’t get sucked in by the façade! It all seems great until you have a problem. They’ll screw you over and you’ll never be able to get them to return your calls. Ciao!

I have been using Floors Etc. and working with Joey for the past 5 years. I work in real estate and refer all of my clients, friends and family to Floors Etc. Joey is great to work with and has helped me out numerous times with very short notice. The installers have always done a great job and the selection of products is impressive, especially with the competitive prices they offer.

We were quoted $ 2000 for carpet installed in our new room just added to our house. Then when I went in to pay the price was $ 100 more (no biggie). But the real kicker is that the installation was seperate and not quoted. Apparently the installer owns a seperate business but works in the store. We felt that this transaction could have been made much clearer to us. We don’t buy carpet often so when we got an out the door price price I figured that installation was included.
We had a quote for the same carpet from a store in San Jose for $ 2000 installed… We decided to go with FLoors Etc because they are local and we like to support local when we can.
The part that really bugs me is that we called to talk to someone at floor etc about this… looking for an explaination and we cannot get anyone to return our calls.
My wife and I both own our businesses and if we ran our business this way we wouldn’t be around too long.
We won’t be using them again.

I just had Floors, etc install a laminate floor downstairs and carpet upstairs on our condo, which is a rental property. Joey is wonderful to work with. He was able to have the floors installed with very little notice and the installers did a wonderful job. It looks great!
This is the third time I have used this business and Joey has always been easy to work with and treats us like very valuable clients. I will always return to this store for any other flooring needs I have in the future. They are great, the service is excellent, the products are very good and the installers are primo… they even helped a tenant move furniture before installing as a courtesy to her. They were extremely helpful, skilled, and nice!

This is my second time using Floors Etc for my home. I went back to them because of the quality of service I received the first time around. I worked primarily with Joey on both transactions. I spent at least a half hour in the store going through carpet samples with Joey to select a nylon plush carpet. My husband and I were looking for something that would look clean and not show a lot of wear. After the carpet was installed we were in shock to see how matted down it appeared. Nothing like the sample! When I came back to the store I spoke with Joey again for at least an half hour about my disappointment with the carpet. He patiently heard me out and advised me to wait a few more days for the carpet to settle in. He also assured me that they would do everything to make sure I was satisfied and if it meant installing new carpet they would do it. He informed me of their customer satisfaction guarantee. If it was a problem with the manufacturing of the carpet it would be replaced for free. If the problem was due to a personal preference they would still allow me to replace the carpet for free and only pay for the install.
Thank goodness Joey was right, and it settled into place after a few days. The carpet now is exactly what we were looking for.
This is why it is a good idea to go with a local business. They will do what it takes to keep the customer satisfied because their reputation is on the line. I doubt I could have received service anywhere near this degree had I chose to use a big box store like Home Depot.
You can really tell the level of customer service a business offers when you are faced with a problem. So, while I did encounter a problem, I felt supported and assured that it would be taken care of.
