History

Established in 1980.

Old Adobe School was founded by John Larson, a parent who wanted a quality, affordable preschool in Sonoma for his two sons. For almost 32 years, Old Adobe School has served a diverse population from the original location in an historic adobe building believed to have been built by General Vallejo over 150 years ago. It’s been at its current location on the grounds of the First Congregational Church, where it has a wonderful school space and extensive outside playground adjacent to the wide fields of Vallejo Home State Park. Old Adobe is a private, non-profit school.
