Furnishing Your Escape
History
Established in 2005.
Villa Terrazza’s inception occurred during prior corporate careers, when the founders realized that time spent outdoors with friends and family was the best release from a hectic work schedule. Our first outdoor kitchen was built for personal use in the late ’80’s before they were widely available. Originally planned as a storefront for a teak furniture business begun in the late 90’s, it quickly became more, and was soon well known for the unusual finds one could score there. From hand-painted canvas mannequins from Poland to whimsical garden gnomes, from exceptional quality patio furniture to fountians and firepits, the breadth of offerings grew steadily. In 2007, a 2500 square foot outdoor display area was opened, featuring furniture, fountains, firepits, and garden art all arranged in outdoor living vignettes which stimulated people’s imaginations to envision the possibilities in their own yards.
In 2008 Fireplaces, inserts and stoves were added to the mix.
Meet the Manager
Guinness R.
Manager
As Director of Hospitality at Villa Terrazza, Guinness specializes in greeting everyone who walks through the doors of this inviting shop. He seems to have a second nature for sensing people’s moods. Guinness delights in showing people around the shop, pausing at things which he feels might be particularly interesting to his guests. When Guinness looks at you with those soft brown eyes, it is easy to just melt. Guinness has a new assistant, Rugby, who seems to be settling into the job, although he frequently takes naps which last hours.
