My newly purchased 2010 Cadillac SRX with 87,000 miles suffered a catastrophic engine failure ten days and 38 miles past the dealer warranty. Fortunately, I had bought an after market warranty from American Auto Shield. I had the car towed to Ideal Automotive and spoke to Tim. The engine could not be saved. Tim found a replacement engine with only 18,000 miles. He worked with the warranty company to get me the maximum amount possible to replace the engine. I added a few hundred dollars to get the lower mileage engine and the results were great. Engine runs fine. No leaks, noises or other issues. Tim
kept me informed of progress and I got the car back in one week. If I could give six stars, I would.

The location is really convenient, they use phone and email to communicate, give detailed quotes that are what you actually end up paying and do a great job with our aging car! The one time I used their «make an appointment online» option no one responded so I recommend call, or just show up since they’re generally fine with that.
