Discount Tire Store – Solana Beach, CA

I trust these guys fully. When I blew a tire, I bought two new ones from them and they price-​matched Costco for me. They have a $ 19/​tire insurance program which I highly recommend — they’ll replace your tires for free if something happens. I just ran over a bolt this morning and brought my car in to see what could be done — they patched my tire (which I had not bought from them) for free. I always go to get air put in my tires from them, and they are the only ones smart enough to put in an extra point because of the temperature changing the air pressure. Very professional, kind and helpful. And reasonably priced.

Had somewhat of a negative first experience but Junior helped me straighten everything out with a very nice attitude. Much appreciated

I love DISCOUNT TIRE in Solana Beach. I hv been coming to this store since 1992, getting 5 STAR SERVICE and AMAZING $$$ DEALS.
I LOVE pulling up to a garage bay and mentioning my problem. They smile and ALWAYS offer to help.
They hv wonderful products and informed/​educated, well trained technicians and front office representatives.
Once again the SOLANA BEACH store hit it out of the park with GREAT SERVICE & GREAT PRICING.
William Barnett the Marketing Manager was able to find me tires that had a great rating, warranty and fit my $$$ budget. Friendly service, plus compassion for my once again needing tires for my SUV.
William also found 4 performance tires for my husbands Genesis that eats low profile tires for lunch.
Reading our profile at Discount Tire was like a walk down memory lane. All the great cars we have had in 20+ years and the tires Discount installed.
I wish every tradesman was like William Barnett. That way every day would be as perfect as this one.
Discount has a clean showroom and shop and an even CLEANER bathroom. They offer water and a nice waiting area.
Even though it takes time to do tire work, they ALWAYS do a 5 STAR installation. They take my phone number and call me as soon as they r done.

Had a flat tire from a big nail. Marvin and team did a quick diagnosis, determined it could be repaired, fixed the tire, put the spare back in the car and I was on the road in less than 25 minutes. Spectacular service and very friendly staff. I’ve purchased tires here before, too, and will again.

I was referred from the Escondido store. I talked to John, he had the correct hard to get tire in stock. He was able to put them on hold and schedule me an appointment 2 hours later.
I showed up an hour early, he put my car right in line on a busy Saturday and got it done well before the original appointment time. Great job, thanks for the help!

Went back to this place and found prices super competitive and service great. I would go back.

I couldn’t be more grateful to the guys here for figuring out my older wheels were causing my tire to go flat. They happened to have a wheel matching mine and GAVE it to me. After years of being a customer and always purchasing the certificates, it definitely paid off. They also replaced my spare tire with a new one due to it’s age at no cost.
I will update this if I get his name wrong, but Cameron truly took the time to make sure I was taken care of and they even stayed late to make sure I got back on the road safely.

Very frustrating experience and did not even end up getting tires. I was told they could do the job within a time frame, double and tripled checked but 30 minutes later when I arrived, they couldn’t deliver
Rearranged schedules to rush out of work to get tires taken care of only to have to start over.

My boyfriend had a screw in his tire so we stopped here to see if they could fix it. It was 5:30 and the gentleman informed us they closed at 5 but he would ask his manager if they could take a look at it. The manager said it wasn’t a problem, even though they seemed so busy. They fixed the tire, and polished all the tires, in about 25 minutes. NO CHARGE. Seriously excellent customer service! It was 6pm when we left and they were still hard at work.

Checked my car in at 8:58 AM to have nail removed from tire. The salesman told me it would take 60 to 90 minutes. It’s been two hours and they still haven’t even started on my car. The salesman promised my car was «one of the next.» One of the next? As in they didn’t know when they would get to it? I wish the sales person have been honest and told me to come back when they had more time or make an appointment. I’ve attached a photo of my time stamped receipt to show when I dropped car off. It’s now 11:07 & still waiting

shady… why is it that whenever they quote a tire for me, that tire is out of stock or back-​ordered and the suggested tire that is much more expensive?
I got a quote for an Original Equipment tire and they were $ 150. more for the same equipment or maybe it was the «back-​ordered/​upgraded» tire. They said it was not available.
Additionally they don’t pay attention to detail. They put two new tires on the back even though I asked them to put them on the front. (they are always supposed to rotate newest tires to the front because they get the most wear n tear).
They made several errors on my job and each one cost me time for them to re-​do. When I asked the manager about a discount for mistakes (the tire they ordered did not match the ones I had asked for that were on the car) he offered me $ 10 back and was unapologetic. Either way they lost me as a customer. (BTW I got the exact tire I needed… matching…on Miramar Rd for $ 150 less in one day!)

Flat tires suck, but this place does not! I was in and out in 30 minutes on a Saturday morning. The Service Advisor’s were very helpful and friendly. They provided the best advice for my situation within by budget. The store was clean and inviting. Thanks guys for a pleasant experience!

They fixed my punctured tire for free! I stopped by while on vacation and far away from home. They made my life easy. They took my car keys and my phone number and told me to come back in an hour. They were done inside of forty minutes. I am very grateful for their service to me.

I am from OC and I was driving back home from San Diego when my front right tire decided to separate and shake my truck uncontrollably from when I walked in the door and drove off was 37 minutes with two new tires that I payed only $ 267 out the door.
Very professional and walked me through all the options of warranties and different tires they offer. I do recommend this place and wouldn’t mind driving the 70+ miles to do business with them again.

Ummm this is the best Discount Tire on earth. Like the whole globe. Like anywhere.
I needed new tires. Called and consulted with an associate (sorry I forgot his name). A week later I made my appointment. I walked in at 9am and Gustavo greeted me at the door took all my info and said my car would be ready in 45 minutes!
He didn’t lie. He called me at 9:45 and said all was done.

Love this place every time i come here they do a great job. In and out in a flash and when its busy there is shopping and panera near by. My family has been coming here for years. The manager is always willing to help to you and fix any problems you may have.

Gotta thank Bruce for hooking me up with a fresh set of tires. Not only was the discount tire team extremely friendly, but their prices were unmatchable. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. I will return again for my next set.

Been going here since I could start driving (1995). They used to be a reputable place but haven’t been great lately. If you go get your tires rotated make mental notes on the location of tires. I’ve gone 3 times in the last 3 years and each time did not rotate. After going to the store in person to order tires in advance they said that they had them in stock. I come back the following week and it took them 2 days to reply back to me saying they were on national back order for 4 months. Did not work with me at all. Finally have had my last straw with them. Sorry.

I was able to make an early appointment online this morning; they had my tires in stock. I was out of there in less than an hour (as promised), and the service was friendly and the price the same as last time.

I think I’ve reviewed other Discount Tire locations in the past, but since this is my local and «go to» shop, I feel the need to say how awesome they are! I’ll never go anywhere else for tire needs.
I bought tires here for my old car, but after getting a new car, I was bummed to hear that my bumper warranty covered everything except tire rotations. No problem– Discount Tire to the rescue! Even though I didn’t buy this set of tires here, they’ve always been helpful with rotations. I also never feel like they are trying to up-​sell things or get my into new tires before I really need them.
They always give you an accurate estimate of when your care will be ready, and there are plenty of coffee/​food/​shopping options within walking distance while waiting for your car.
When I need tires for my new car I will absolutely get them at Discount Tire!
