If you are a senior citizen, on a fixed income and denti-​cal or have parents that are PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! I am dealing with a nightmare right now for my poor elderly father who desperately needs new dentures.
When he went in to see Dr. Raja, he was told that the dentures that denti-​cal provided are not good and he should upgrade to the «better» dentures for an additional $ 2,000. When he let them know he is on a fixed income and could not afford them they still pushed and let him know that even with the dentures denti-​cal provides he will still need to pay hundreds of dollars in lab fees. We later found out, this was a lie.
He went to get a second opinion and was told denti-​cal pays for the dentures and all lab fees and that the dentures are the same quality as the ones he currently has which have lasted him well for over 5 years! So he called and cancelled any further appt’s for his dentures and let them know he will be getting the work done from a different dentist. Now its almost 2 months later and 2 denials for denti-​cal, three phone calls to this office and now in the process of complaints to the state board because they will not release him to go to another dentist. My poor dad called almost in tears to the lady for the third time begging her to call and release him so he can get his dentures and the lady accused him of harassing her. UNBELIEVABLE! This is complete elderly abuse and the treatment of their staff to patients is disgusting!
Now my poor dad has to just wait and go through the state board to get this unethical office who did NO work except a consult to release him to get his dentures.
DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOUR OR YOUR FAMILY! STAY AWAY!!!

My experience with Dr. Raja and her staff was horrible. First, I want you to know that my son and myself have denti cal insurance. Denti Cal for adults does not pay very well other then cleaning. Denti Cal for children pays better. The receptionist insisted that my son be seen first even though I have a broken filling that needs to be treated right away and I’m in pain. My son goes back to get ex rays, a cleaning and to see Dr. Raja. I ask if I can go back with my son and they said no because there is not enough room and then I find out that is a lie, the rooms are large. You should never be refused to be with your child at any Dr. Office. Then Dr. Raja says my son needs braces and while I’m sitting in the waiting room I hear them tell two other mothers who are on Denti Cal that there child needs braces too which made me think they could be a scam. This appointment took way to long. The staff sits around talking instead of doing they’re job and move things along so you can leave and go back to work. They set an appointment for my son to come back in six months for a cleaning and told me that they would make an appointment for my son to see the specialist when I come in for my appointment and then when I came in for my appointment they would not set up an appointment for my son to see their orthodontist specialist after they told me they would. These people are crazy
I come back the following week for my appointment. I’m in a lot of pain from my broken filling. I made my appointment for 9am so that I could get in and out of there and back to work. My appointment took four hours to do an ex rays, a cleaning and to see Dr. Raja. The ex ray equipment is so old and hurts your mouth. Took me back 30 years. The ex ray person didn’t know what she was doing and had to re take ex rays multiple times and this was very painful due to the equipment and length of time it took to take the ex rays. They agreed to do my cleaning since Denti Cal pays well for that. But when it came time to fix my broken filling they refused because Denti cal does not pay enough for this procedure. They also told me that they want to make four appointments for the year for cleaning my teeth when my insurance only pays for one cleaning a year. My son on the other hand was only set up with two cleanings a year and Denti Cal pays for two a year for children. They are just trying to get more money out of the adults to compensate any loss due to Denti Cal not paying well. I am very unhappy with this dentist office and I don’t recommend anyone go here. Avoid this dentist office. If you have Denti Cal the only other office that takes adult Denti Cal is Western Dental in Oceanside. They do a good job and they have new ex ray equipment and will not turn you away because your insurance doesn’t pay well. I had prior work done at Western Dental and they stick to their word. I had a crown replaced and their pricing was very reasonable. I hope this review helps

She has been responsible for my sparkling smile and the perfect teeth embellish the total look. The staff is courteous and helpful to handle the cleaning, X-​Ray and other services. Front desk handles billing and appointments efficiently. We rely on the Family Dentist to keep our teeth and gums in good health and appearance. Sal Shah

My family and I have been coming to Dr. Raja for over five years. We highly recommend her and her caring, thorough, and attentive staff.
She has worked wonders with my son who was cavity prone. Today he had no cavities at all!
If you are apprehensive during a filling, she has nitrous available.
After listening to me complain about my frequent headaches, she talked me in to getting a night mouthguard five years ago. My headaches decreased enormously and wow, has my quality of life improved!

Dr. Rajasekaran has been my dentist since 2008.
I do take good care of my teeth and gums and she is instrumental in helping me maintain a beautiful smile.
My experience in her office is always enjoyable due to her knowledge, kindness and gentle touch.

I found Dr. Raj and her assistant to be quite friendly, down to earth and personable. I got a checkup and xrays there. I later asked her to send my xrays/​records to me (I always keep personal copies) and she was very accommodating.

She’s a TERRIBLE dentist! Don’t go to her no matter what! I wish there was a ZERO star rating!
Let me tell you the story of my misery.
I go in there to get a cleaning appointment. The receptionist is the nurse, too. Or the dental hygienist… whatever they call the helpers for dentists.
There is practically nothing in her office. She has one machine. You have to get up to wash your mouth out. The dentist is a real loudmouth, wanting you to talk all the time when you are open and getting cleaned. She is stinky, too.
Next, she says let’s do some x-​rays since you haven’t had one in a while. She does them, but she doesn’t know how to use the machine. OK, so I am a high school student… and you are a DENTIST. I showed her how to use the computer anyway. Fine. She’s an idiot. I can take that.
Next, she says that I have four cavities. Yeah, right. Fine, I say we can fill them. She wants to charge me an arm and a leg for the white ones, so I opt for the silver ones. The receptionist/​nurse does most of the filling, which happens the following week.
To cut matters short, a year later, I go to another dentist and find out that I had only three fillings, and that two are real, one is fake. So I paid for four, got three, and only two are real. What the hell.
This dentist should be arrested.
