DOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT FOR YOUR CHILD AT THIS BANK! THEY WILL NEVER STOP CALLING YOU!
They have a sign-​up for student accounts at my son’s school. Since he has not been depositing $$ their policy is to call me on my private cell phone every month to remind me that he is not using his account. This is very very irritating-​. I’m a working mother and don’t need extra unidentified phone calls. I asked them to stop doing this but they said I have to come in in person to close the account or they will call me every month indefinitely. ARG!

A great Credit Union is what I have experienced with this banking institute. I have been with this credit union for some time now, and they have just gotten better and better over the years. I stopped in to withdraw more cash then the ATM allows you to, for safety reason.
There service at the counters has always been friendly and very welcoming. Also, I really like their competitive car loan rates and free checking on their Smart Checking accounts. They also offer investment and retirement accounts, and they are a non profit institution so the savings go directly to the customers. They are opened on the weekends during the morning hours.
Great banking institution and I always leave satisfied.

Came in on Saturday after talking to the branch about a car loan… there was a discrepancy about the specific rate. They worked it out with the dealership and eventually we got our rate and everything else went pretty smoothly. Holly was cheery and walked us through the process without to much trouble. I would definitely consider Mission Federal again for a car loan!

Definitely a 5 star organization. There is a massive difference between a credit union and a bank.
Mission Federal has been a breath of fresh air. I don’t feel nickel and dimed to death at all here. Actually the real term with banks would be dollared to death with all types of fees. Not here, this is a non profit where savings are passed on to the members. Mission Federal supports lots of local charities too giving a portion of proceeds to support San Diego

I have heard alot of great things about credit unions and after doing a bit of research, I decided to visit Mission Federal Credit Union in Solana Beach.
What a breath of fresh air from the moment I walked in! I was pleasantly greeted by a woman named Emily Smith. Emily was just the person I needed to speak to about opening a new account and getting my car loan refinanced. Emily was incredibly sharp, professional, fast & knowledgable. I arrived at the branch ½ hour before closing and Emily was kind enough to stay past closing time in order to finish with my application. Although she was unable to get me the loan I wanted due to the age and miles of the car I purchased, I trust that she will do what she can to help me figure out a smart action plan on proceeding forward.

I have been a member of Mission Federal Credit Union for a while now. I started using them as a secondary bank to handle savings for property taxes, vacations, and other miscellaneous happenings. I decided to switch to them full-​time after my primary bank decided to start charging me fees for not having a giant balance or not having a mortgage through them…
I have not been happier with a bank since switching. Every branch I visit is clean and inviting, and the tellers are always pleasant and helpful. I recently had a problem with my debit card being compromised, and the banker in the Solana Beach branch was able to print and activate a new card on the spot for me.
I am so happy with this bank that I opened my 1 year old daughters savings here, and used them as a first choice to refinance my car.
