If you don’t stop here when touring Lake Ontario’s treasures, you missed out. The Lighthouse Museum is surprisingly big and filled to the brim with interesting artifacts. And you must – I repeat MUST – climb to the top of the lighthouse for the breathtaking view of the lake. It’s so worth it. The fee to get in is very small and you could also take a picnic to eat on the grounds. Plus, every summer, they host a different music group for free, open air concerts on the grounds. Great way to introduce kids to new musical styles, from jazz to pop to swing to classical to barbershop quartet! There’s not a ton to do here, but it’s worth a stop for a couple hours.

A charming historical building with stunning views of the channel, Lake Ontario and the Bay. Great for wedding receptions. If you are in Sodus Point in Summer, be sure to go to the Lighthouse for Sunday concerts. Great concerts and a sweet atmosphere of a small and friendly village — with great views to boot!
