Specialties

The Little Gym is a development program for children ages 4 months to 12 years. We hold weekly classes in gymnastics, dance, karate and sports skills. Children learn tons of new physical skills while improving their social skills.

Our Awesome Birthday Bashes are the best around! Kids have a great time while parents get to relax and let The Little Gym team handle everything.

Additional programs include summer camps and parents’ night out.

History

Established in 2004.

The Little Gym was founded in 1976 by a team of child development experts who wanted to provide a fun and active learning enviroment for children. This team still creates all the original music and curriculum for The Little Gym programs. While The Little Gym exists all around the world each class works on a personal level with every child to create the best possible experience for them.

The Little Gym of Smyrna has been the provider of the best children’s programs in Smyrna for over 7 years.

Great for kids birthdays. The staff does a wonderful job keeping an eye on the kids and entertaining them. The huge inflatable bag that the kids lay down on while it inflates is always the highpoint of the visit for my son. High marks for cleanliness and the kids love the gymnastics equipment. I think age 3 – 6 is probably best for the equipment, but even the 2 years olds seem to have loads of fun.

if I could give less, I would. The gym is a numbers game and doesn’t care about the little kids at all. I took my 2 yr old to one term of classes. He is average to tall for his age but just 2! and we were told by Cory that he would have to join the non-​parent assisted, older kids class if we wanted him to continue, despite having purchased the «mommy and me» type classes. Never mind he didn’t want to be separated and shouldn’t have to be forcibly at that age! There were simply more spaces in that class. I suppose having already paid the annual fee, many parents probably just comply.
The classes were definitely overbooked to the point many kids got 0 or only 1 turn at activities. But you don’t change that number at the expense of the kids or their comfort/​anxiety.

My son just started a class at Little Gym and to see his face light up when we walk into the building is all I need to give them five stars. The teacher isn’t only engaging and enthusiastic, her class is developmentally appropriate. She is always sure to give parents information as to why the activities she incorporates are good for coordination, learning and development. The classes for the under three age group really get the parents involved while giving the little ones the space and opportunity to explore. And the class ends with bubbles … who doesn’t love a bubble party?!

Can’t say enough good things about our experience here! Teachers are so patient and really seem to know what they’re doing. I would guess that they have a background in child development the way they conduct the classes. Every class there is a developmental lesson woven into play. The gym/​play area is clean. We recently joined and it’s been a great investment. Btw my toddler is 2.5 and she looks forward to the class all week

A really cool place! I went to a 1 year old birthday party there. The activities got all of kids moving, and the adults trying to keep up! ! Kids of All ages were having a great time on things like the balance beam! GREAT for kids1!

My son’s 2nd birthday party was a success! We did not have to do a thing, I was impressed. the staff takes care of everything, including the closing session, which I loved it!
They served the pizza i bought, make sure all the guests ate, cut the cake, etc. It was very easy for us and we were able to enjoy the party!
one hour and a half may be a lil short but The kids had lots of fun and you, as the parent, are done with it quick!
I just had to buy the cake, drinks for adults and pizza for the guests, they took care of everything else. They even organized the party favors and added a ballon to each one, so each guest could take his favor when they were exiting the place.
I loved it and would do it again next year.

My 20 month old is taking a class here. They do a great job, it is as structured as it can be at that age but they do allow for them to be free. A little pricey, but he loves it
