Nice guy who did our quote. Unfortunately, we went with a more affordable option.

This company thinks my time is not worth squat. I set up an appt. for an estimate. No show. Excuse: Car was broken. I set up another appt. No show! Excuse: Couldn’t find the heat sensor gun. Third attempt to get the estimate. This time Phil shows up!!! Nice guy– seemed knowledgeable, all is good. I gave him my email address and he said he’d send my estimate out. Phil came out in December and I still have no estimate. I even called after a month to ask if they were planning to send it. They said they would. Guess they forgot. Stop wasting people’s TIME ECO Tech!!!

Let me just say that I hate writing these reviews… But, sorry, Eco Tec… My time is valuable.
I scheduled an appointment for noon on a weekday a couple weeks ago. I proceeded to feed my child around 11:45AM that day, realizing that our kitchen is towards the back of the house and my little one was watching some cartoons.
My dad walks in at 10 minutes past noon holding a business card from Eco Tec that he found wedged in btw the screen door… Wait, what the??? I didn’t hear a damn thing from the door bell or my phone. I rang my doorbell a bunch of times to make sure it was working and it was just fine. I would have heard it no problem.
So I call the guy at 12:15 and what do you know? He’s already left the area. NO phone call to my phone!!! He tells me he will try and make it back later in the afternoon, but doesn’t call me back until the following day in the afternoon!!!
Sorry Eco Tec, but if your policy isn’t to at least try and contact a potential customer on the phone if they aren’t answering the door, then you’re going to run into a lot of issues trying to obtain business.
If you live in the Northbrook area, I recommend American Insulation.

James came out and we walked through my house looking at the thermo imaging camera. He explained what to look for and what he saw. Just as I suspected there was 0(no) insulation in the basement. Also, there was an addition to the house where the floor was always cold. James remained in contact with me throughout the process. We were able to schedule very quickly which I appreciated and the two gentlemen did an excellent job. They taped up everything and cut the sheetrock almost perfectly. They had to do this due to the depth of my walls (I have about a 6 inch gap from the sheetrock and studs to the exterior wall in my basement. Usually they can go in through tiny holes from the outside and you don’t even know they were there. Again this was all explained to me in the beginning. They installed the foam quickly and cleaned up well. They even asked if I wanted them to leave the plastic as I would need to sand down the spackle for the sheetrock. I chose to have them take it down. It was very nice that they asked. James called me after they left and asked how it went. Now that is service! They did a great job. I only wish I could afford to have them do my attic. Maybe before next winter.

We had Eco Tec come in and insulate our kitchen when we expanded into our addition. The work they did was perfect and exactly as described. The quote came in way below what I expected. They were flexible when I needed to move the install date and punctual when they did the work. Top notch communication and work. I couldn’t be happier. If you are looking at a more efficient alternative to bat insulation, call them.

This is a fantastic product! We had this company spray when we did an addition. We were so pleased with the product and the results showed in our utility bills. Really pleasant people to work with too.
We are now in a second construction project and they came right out to re-​spray any areas affected by the construction. This is a great company. I highly recommend.

Holy Moly — this is such a great product! I’ve compared our gas bill from the same period last year, and it’s down $ 200. The therms used last year were 226, this year 112. That’s less than half! And, last year, we were freezing with the heat set at 72, this year, we’re sweating if it’s over 67.
Tom was very punctual about answering all of our questions each time we called, or returning calls within a few hours. Also, Tom made sure we had all the info to get our rebates for this work from Peoples Gas.
Eco tec came Monday morning around 8:30am. They set up the attic, taped up the windows and brought the hose into the attic. Around 10am they told us they had to run to Crafty B***** because the hose was broken, and they were going to try to fix it. By 11:30 they told us the bad news, they couldn’t fix the hose, and would have to come back tomorrow. Tuesday, they arrived at 11am, right when they said they would. They brought the hose from the truck, through the kitchen window, and straight up into the attic. The job took about 4 hours to complete. The workers were very professional, and cleaned everything up. They shaved off insulation that was past the beams, to make it easier for us to hang the drywall.
Superior product, great customer service. Use them!

We used Eco Tec for installing insulation in our insulation-​less walls in our new condo. Kind of a bummer, but Brian was great to work with. The instalation itself was fast and they did a good job. Since we had existing walls in our home, not sure how the price compares to other spray-​in installations, but I thought they were affordable on the whole.
