I was very excited to see this new business in the village of Skaneateles! I have gone here twice and both times I had a decent experience. I am reluctant to give only three stars; it should really be 3 ½. There are a couple of kinks that need to be worked out, but the place is very new. Hopefully, they will get their game on soon! The first time I went was around breakfast time. We were looking for some breakfast foods… possibly a breakfast sandwich type thing. The person at the counter was polite, but said that they didn’t have any breakfast sandwiches. However, I noticed a plate on the counter of «egg and cheese pretzel wraps». Sounds like a breakfast sandwich to me! I think maybe we didn’t use the right terminology. I also ordered a coffee and I wanted a flavored coffee. There was some confusion as to if they had any and after I poured myself a full cup of regular, someone came out of the back with a freshly brewed flavor. Today, I went back for the second time. I took the kids. They each got a pretzel and the pretzels were fresh and really tasty. Well, one of them was. One of us got a cinnamon/sugar pretzel. Only, it didn’t have sugar on it… just cinnamon. Cinnamon is pretty bitter, so I am sure this was just a mistake. Nonetheless, it definitely took away from the otherwise tasty pretzel. Again, I think these issues are just a result of the place being new and the staff being new. I would go back again! They also have a wonderful looking selection of baked goods and pretzel treats(yogurt covered; snack mix; chocolate, etc.) for sale.

I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, where the Philly Soft Pretzel is the king of street vendor snack foods(and also available at WaWa stores). Whenever I head down to PA, I always get an authentic Philly Soft Pretzel. But I spend 99% of my time in upstate NY now, and have missed having good fresh pretzels available. Finger Lakes Pretzel factory fills that void! They’re not quite Philly style, in either taste or appearance, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it! Overall, a solidly delicious soft pretzel.
