Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa

Very disappointing facility and staff. The hotel canceled my reservation while en route – by email. They were sorry, they said – by an email they sent after 8:00pm. I had a reservation. I had a confirmation number. They now at 8:00pm the night I was to arrive had no room. I do not recommend staying here.

Beautiful 2 bd condo! Great view, friendly staff and the restaurant downstairs is superb. Great ocean views while dining! The pools were nice but the beach was better. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic! Holds up to Marriots reputation. One of the best happy hours! Friendly bartenders, very accommodating, lovely décor and ambiance. Please bring back the potato skins. They were the best we ever had.

Stayed here with my family for 3 nights during the week of Christmas. We had a great stay and found the staff to be exceptional. Our flight got in early (11am) on the day we were checking in, and the front desk was kind enough to accommodate our early check in; we were also granted a late check out (2pm) before our evening flight out of Miami. They couldn’t have been better to us! Pools were crowded but well staffed, and we loved lunch at the ocean-​front restaurant. Our suite was cleaned and stocked well and the balcony afforded a beautiful view. For the price point, this felt like a good value. We will be back!

This was my second time at Marriott Singer Island. Our first trip was a few years back and just the wife and I. This trip my Wife and I took my children and their grandparents to stay for a couple of days Christmas week.
The pools are very nice and kept nice and toasty which was good because our weather was spotty and kids being kids wanted nothing else but to swim. The main pool was pretty much empty all week but the Jacuzzi got some action. No complaints about either. The back pool «The Lagoon» was where the kids enjoyed most. A decent size Green Water slide with no line on a hot day! Each of my kids must have went down hundreds of times while I sat and sipped on one of their signature beverages.
The outdoor bars however left much to be desired. My first trip was different. This trip they seemed to be run by younger and less attentive (sometimes invisible) employees. Want a towel? They have three guys standing there to collect your towel card. Want a Drink or to order lunch? You might be waiting a bit before you even see anyone. (And this was with just a handful of people at the pool area). The bar on the far side of the hotel (Near the Kids club was the same). I dropped the kids off to do some tie die shirts and walked outside to the bar. Waited thirty minutes for a bartender then gave up and strolled onto the beach. I thought the numbers next to the drinks were prices not wait times!
The kids club was awesome, the girl who ran it that day was the perfect employee and my children love the final results of their shirts!
We had breakfast at 3800, last time I visited they had an impressive buffet and we could not wait to try it again. Sadly we were told they do not do the buffet on certain days. The breakfast we ordered was good anyway but I always prefer a good buffet when it comes to Breakfast. Prices were high but no insanely high as some other hotel restaurants in the area.
We had a two bedroom suite with an ocean view balcony, unfortunately they are building something next door so all you hear and see is construction. This started at 7:00 AM and went on the whole day. The room itself appears to be nice but two of the doors were broken and the snacks appeared to have been sitting a while. The room had a full size refrigerator stovetop microwave and Washer Dryer. The fridge was stocked with plenty of drinks and booze. We drank a lot and called down to have them refill. They needed me to tell them each individual Item we used. I had no problem with that but when they refilled they replaced all the missing items with different items then I told them. We also had problems with getting hot water early in the morning but it did work fine later in the day.
Wi-​Fi was not free in this hotel it was around $ 10.00 per day and $ 15.00 for High speed.
My second trip here was not nearly as impressive as the first and if it wasn’t for the slide I probably would choose a different hotel. Always a fan of Marriott’s and we did have a great time the first time we came a few years back. (Better service, Better food, Better views). But my next trip to Singer Island I’ll be staying somewhere else.
I would have given two stars but I also would of given it four stars two years ago.

First, the hotel has fantastic, customer friendly staff. Really well trained and /​or hired. Everyone we encountered was helpful, competent and smiling.
The room was odd, unless you had the shades open, the room was dark– even with all lights on.
The mini bar was stocked with really expensive stuff and when my friend asked the management to empty the fridge in his room to prevent his kids from eating him into the poor house, they requested $ 25 to do that. That stinks.
In general, the room was clean and well attended but the top of the fridge (room 418) had a coating of dust. The cleaning folks were short so I’m sure they never saw it. The only fault.
If you wanted in-​room WiFi, that was $ 10 a day! $ 15 for hi speed service. Geeze Louise!
You had to go to the lobby for free wifi and re-​register every day. Can you say, Mo money!
We ate all of our meals at the hotel and the price didn’t reflect the quality or vice versa. Most meals were just ordinary. Not a lot of flavor. For example, Saturday I had a steak that was dry and devoid of seasoning. The veggies were way over cooked too.
The Breakfast buffet — $ 24 — had a good range of choices but the taste of most items was bland.
The only fruit offered that was truly ripe was the pineapple — the melon was rock hard, berries dry.
The granola parfait with berries was dry and warm. Warm yogurt is nasty.
I expected fresh squeezed OJ but it tasted like Tropicana. However, it was priced like fresh squeezed. Mo money!
The pool, hot tub and kids pool all were clean and not too crowded. The private beach too was pristine. Nice if you are beach People.
Last thoughts– I know this is a resort area but at the prices they are charging, the food should have been 5 star outstanding, not just 2 or 3 star, just OK. Plus simple things like internet access, should be included in the price. If we had a rent a car, we would have searched for food elsewhere. If you have one, use Unilocal to get better food and drive. You have been warned.
A generous 3 stars mostly for their world class employees and their non stop smiling and high touch service. I never saw an employee who wasn’t smiling and most said hello. Cool. The concierge even left his desk to help load our cab. The gentleman was wearing a crisp, clean suit but he hustled. And smiled!
So, please note, if you served better food, the score could be top marks. You are already well on the way to a great hotel with the staff you have hired.

We stayed here in May of 2015. In a penthouse apartment facing south. We had 2 beds, 2 baths. Beautiful patio facing south with views of the ocean and the inlet.
The unit is very spacious, although the room service and minibar is very expensive, so we’ll worthwhile bring your own snacks and booze.
The concierge guys are phenomenal, the food in the main bar is nice, the beach is out of this world and we love the turtle conservatories and the sea life around the reef. Can’t wait to go back.

We just spent 5 days and 4 nights at this resort. From the moment we walked in the staff was courteous and very friendly however this later changed. We stayed in a 1 Bd resort view room on the 10^th floor. Although we did not have a beach view, the views were still great from our balcony as we could see the lagoon pool and the bay side. Our room was very comfortable and very clean (and I am super picky about cleanliness). I was very impressed with the maid service’s turnover as they missed nothing when they cleaned our room daily. I was very pleased. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking which was great and everything was also clean. But be advised, there is only two small glass top burners and a microwave (no oven) so don’t bring anything that requires more then that. I also loved that we had a washer and dryer, made our stay more comfortable and I am able to take everything back home clean so it’s not more work when I get home. The hotel staff was also fast whenever we need extra blankets or towels. They brought things up quickly and with a smile on their face! Valet service and the bellmen where also wonderful!
The facilities are also very clean and easily accessible. The two pools are nice and clean and the kids loved the water slide. The beach is amazingggg! Crystal clear water with soft clean sand. The reef is right off the beach and has tonssss of wildlife so make sure to bring some snorkel gear (u will see eels, fish, and all sorts of things). We were also lucky enough to see baby turtles making their way to sea at midnight! What an amazing experience for our kids! The beach servers are amazing (Chip and Dj in particular where fantastic) The kids club also offers fun activities daily for the kids that they enjoyed and they even got their hear braided.
My only complaints this trip where the following:
— beach chairs and umbrellas are all lined up next to each other in a row on the beach! Suckssss because u have no privacy and have to hear everyone’s conversations when ur trying to relax especially when you pay $ 30 a day for the chairs and umbrella.
— beach chairs and umbrellas are picked up at 5pm, also a bummer when you want to spend the day out on the beach considering there is nothing else to do around here!
— pool bar and beach bar stop serving food and drinks around 4pm (not sunset as advertised) which is ridiculous again considering there is nothing else to do here then sit out at the beach or pool all day.
— pool slide is also closed around 7pm… makes the night boring for the kids!
–If it as much as sprinkles a little bit, the staff pick everything and close up the outside bar and restaurant.
Overall we had a good experience despite the things I did not like. We enjoyed our stay but I don’t think we would return. I would suggest to the resort to offer some sort of alternative activities in the evenings or rainy days. Maybe take the conference room to set up game night and movie night, something to keep people entertained because as I said there is nothing to do if you are not at the pool or beach. Otherwise if you are traveling from not too far i would say bring some DVD’s, a board game or two or maybe a deck of cards to play!
EDITING MY POST FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON:
ON OUR LAST NIGHT AT THE RESORT IT WAS VERY RAINY AND CLOUDY. WE DID NOT HAVE MUCH TO DO SO WE SAT OUT BY THE LAGOON POOL EVEN IN THE RAIN. AROUND 5:30PM THE WEATHER FINALLY CLEARED UP ENOUGH FOR THE KIDS TO ENJOY THE DAY. WE WERE HAVING A GREAT TIME UNTIL ONE EMPLOYEE CAME TO CLOSE THE SLIDE AT 7PM. WE QUESTIONED WHY SHE WAS CLOSING THE SLIDE IF THE SUN HAD NOT SET AND IT WAS FINALLY GOOD WEATHER FOR US TO ENJOY THE SLIDE. SHE BASICALLY SAID IN A RUDE TONE THAT HER MANAGER ASKED HER TO SHUT DOWN. WE THEN ASKED TO SPEAK TO HER MANAGER AND SHE LAUGHED IN OUR FACE. THIS TURNED INTO A PROBLEM AND THE MANAGERS CAME TO SPEAK WITH US AND DECIDED TO LEAVE IT OPEN UNTIL 8. WE WERE APPRECIATIVE FOR THAT AND ENJOYED OUR NIGHT. THE FOLLOWING DAY HOWEVER, WE COULD TELL THAT THE STAFF WAS NOW BEING RUDE TO US BECAUSE OF OUR COMPLAINT. THE RECREATIONAL MANAGER EVEN ASKED US IF «WE WERE CAUSING ANY TROUBLE TODAY» WHICH IN MY OPINION WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL TO PAYING CUSTOMERS WHO SIMPLY WANT THE BEST BANG FOR THEIR BUCK. AT ALMOST $ 400/​n I THINK WE SHOULD BE OFFERED THE AMENITIES AS PROMISED. I DID NOT LIKE THE WAY WE WERE TREATED AFTER THE INCIDENT.

I agree as far as a Marriott goes this is not up to the others we have stayed at. Great if you have kids under 10. When you book your room they will call ahead and say its regarding your reservation when in fact it is them trying to sell you on their vacation club ½ mile down the road. You can use this resort for free your enitre stay, if you sit in on a promo for the club. The rules are not followed. The kids will swim after hours, they will not rinse their feet, the pools will be full of sand. The gate code is useless… everyone who isnst staying at the resort knows it or waits for someone to let them in, which is all of about 5 mins when their busy!
No adults around, no security, no mgr. The poor little ones under 3 just cry since they are not happy and the parents make them stay. They will host graduation partys where 40 to 50 kids and their familys take over all the amenities. They will give the gate code to them and tell them where to park to avoid vallet.
Best to call ahead before headng to pools or renting chairs at the beach as your eminties your paying for will be very limited. As previously stated, they will put their chairs and umbrellas right in front of you litterally with no regards to you being a paying customer of the resort… they have to be local, all their beach stuff, coolers umbrellas, would not fit on a plane. They wll put the chairs so close you have to move them as you can not navigate in or out of them with out using someone elses chair.
Megan at the front desk takes the brunt of it all with grace and poise. She is great as well as concierge Call ahead for housekkeping– you can be gone all day and at 6:00 pm your room may not be serviced. Be sure they clean your glass doors, they miss them frequently, Empty your own dishwasher they just re –run it. Two fire pits one is always broken get it while you can at night. If your room over looks the pool please know the kids will be in the spa and pool till 10 or 11 Screaming and having fun like they should do. Vallet is awesome call ahead they really hustle. The wait staff for the beach not so much raise your flag and nothing. better off getting it your self. For our troubles, free breakfast upon check out. Didnt help we already ate.
Not relaxing but beautiful resort. Below standards of a typical Marriott. Great if you have kids!

So conflicted on this place. Great room and view of the ocean but average staff and kind of trashy people staying here when my family and I were here. I think the weekends the locals can come here as the weekday had a different crowd for the better.
The kids lagoon pool has a slide with no staff manning the bottom of the pool and no roped off area for people to enter whenever they want. Kind of dangerous and there were an Abundance of inner city kids harassing people, no staff around to intervene. Most of the pool staff seemed to be inexperienced and young, not the best hiring manager for the pool I guess.

Superb hotel. My room was immaculate. Staff was super friendly and outstanding. I think every staff member I passed gave me a friendly greeting. Service is of the highest level. I enjoyed both the pool and the beach. Restaurants were great. I enjoyed the spa — I thought spa prices were reasonable.. Make sure you check to see if they have any specials (the week I was there it was slow, so they had facial/​massage special). Was delighted to discover spa services came with complimentary glass of champagne! Ordered room service for breakfast a few times and loved it… pancakes were great. Overall it’s on the expensive side, but not outrageous for a beach front resort — I rather pay a little extra and stay at an outstanding resort. I look forward to many return visits.

My fiancé and I stayed here for a four day weekend. We booked our travel and stay via JetBlue Getaways… at a great price. We had a gorgeous one bedroom suite with a beautiful ocean view and inlet view from our balcony. Perfect beautiful view as the day was ending and the city lights were appearing. The entire staff was amazing, courteous, helpful and very accommodating.
The food at the Tiki Bar, beach area and the infinity pool was delicious. I would give the food and service a 5 star rating. The food in the restaurant was not so good and very pricey. I ordered the lobster ceviche for $ 21. Such a small amount and it was lacking flavor. My kale salad was very chewy, again not much flavor and they left the stems on several pieces which is a restaurant no no. The clams and sausage appetizer was delicious except you couldn’t really find much sausage. We ordered a triangular mousse and key lime dessert that was definitely not made there, maybe Costco, BJ’s or some restaurant supply place. It was horrible and bland except for the tiny bit of key lime flavoring on top. A total waste of $ 9 and we couldn’t even finish it. I give credit to the waitstaff only. They were very attentive throughout our meal. We were very disappointed with this restaurant :(
My only other complaint would be not to go there for Mother’s Day. They must have had a special because the place was insanely overcrowded on that day! We could not get two chairs at either of the two pools and both pools were filled with lots of kids. We had to go to the beach which by the way, the charge is $ 10 per hour or $ 30 per day for 2 chairs and an umbrella. The beach was also very crowded including lots of adults and children sitting right near the surf with their personal folding chairs, umbrellas and blankets.
Overall experience was nice and I would like to return but not for a holiday weekend… especially Mother’s Day. lol

I am a jupiter native and this is the only way to do a «Beach day».
My family and I enjoy going to brunch at the restaurant (parking validated) and then renting chairs and umbrella for only $ 30 a day. They have flags that you can raise up if you want food or drinks on the beach. Recommended you try the Coconut drinks.
Kudos to the friendly staff

A lovely property with very accommodating staff. Food was very good and again people were lovely. My only 2 issues, which would not prevent me from returning, were the jack of staff and poor system for beach accommodations — chairs and umbrellas. No system for determining availability.

WONDERFUL Marriott hotel and residential property. Beautifully maintained with first class services. Staff is SO friendly and accommodating. They’ve obviously had top notch training in customer service. We will definitely be staying here again.

We are generally fans of Marriott, but we do not recommend this particular hotel. Our party of five stayed a week during Spring Break in a large two bedroom condo and paid using a combination of Marriott Rewards points and dollars. There were so many annoyances from the moment we arrived to the moment we left that it is hard to remember them all. Save yourself the frustration and find a different property in the Palm Beach area.
If you have a car (and given the location of this property, how could you not?) valet parking is mandatory at about $ 25 per day. The valets are overwhelmed at most hours and it takes you FOREVER to drop off your car with the valet or to retrieve your car from the valet, even if you phone ahead for the car. Over the course of the week we spent what seemed like eons in the car valet area. And the valets never once opened a door for my wife who was in the front passenger seat. All they seem to care about is collecting a tip from the driver of the vehicle.
The hotel advertises that they have fully outfitted kitchens. But frequenters of Marriott Vacation Club properties should know that the kitchens don’t begin to compare. The kitchens are much smaller, have only two cooktop burners and do not have an oven other than a microwave.
The staff in the restaurants are clueless about gluten-​free, which means that we didn’t eat in the restaurants on the property, due to our daughters’ needs for a gluten-​free diet due to Celiac’s Disease. We couldn’t risk the possibility of cross-​contamination with gluten ingredients due to ignorance in the kitchen.
We were unable to hook up to wifi on day one without having to call guest services and then separately call a remote technical support group who had to reset the wifi settings associated with our room number. The same thing happened again on day three. Very frustrating.
Our room keys deactivated every 24 hours in the mid-​afternoon. Every single day each one of us had to go to the front desk and wait in line for a staff member to reactivate our keys. They twice sent engineering up to either replace batteries in the door lock or the door lock itself. The problem was never resolved.
On the day of check-​in our room was supposed to be ready by 4pm. We were unable to check in until after 5pm because housekeeping wasn’t done with the room. Unfortunately, when we finally got into our room we discovered that housekeeping had missed quite a few obvious items: sand all over the balcony; soiled and ripped cushions on the balcony furniture; fingerprints all over the chrome lighting fixtures; used paperwork and guest comment cards left behind from the previous guests; a broken door between the living room and the master bedroom. We had to make five requests to have the door fixed before someone from engineering showed up (at 10pm) to fix the door. His fix lasted all of about two minutes after he left. It took a call to the hotel manager (Chris Hunter) the next morning to finally get the situation resolved.
Unfortunately Mr. Hunter is not running the hotel to Marriott standards. While all the staff are very friendly, they mostly spend their time apologizing for what hasn’t gone right with your stay. And no one seems to follow up to make sure that problems ultimately get resolved, or that systemic problems get fixed. Clearly there are not enough housekeeping staff or engineering staff to do what needs to be done within a reasonable amount of time. For example.. . at 9am one morning we asked for housekeeping to bring us an additional large pot in which to boil some water so that we could cook pasta that evening. By 6pm housekeeping had not brought the pot. When we inquired again, they told us that they couldn’t find any. Another example, for the first five days of our visit there sat on the floor near the elevator a pile of spilled popcorn. It wasn’t cleaned up until day six.
In our opinion, this hotel broke the Marriott brand. Marriott Corporate should send a SWAT team in here to make changes and get it up to brand standards.

Great Service and very clean. The beach is beautiful and their pools are really nice. It was kid friendly and the rooms are really like with a semi ocean view. Our room was huge for just the 2 of us and a baby. They do charge for a lot details but i would suggest to just come prepared, for example a grocery is less than a 2 mile away and bring detergent if you want to do a load of laundry.

Beautiful hotel, great location, with a lot of great facilities. Two pools– one for adults and another for the kiddies (I discovered this a little late and hung out at the water slide pool for one two many days). The gym is big and has multiple pieces of cardio equipment (yay!). It’s a great place for pampering and relaxation (the spa has awesome facilities and staff– massages cost around $ 80), not to mention the restaurant, 3800 Ocean has fantastic food that ranges from comforting and familiar to fou fou. Steps from the ocean with a tiki bar on the beach! You will have so much fun here, but do not eat in the hotel restaurant every night, or you will go into debt forever. That’s where they kill ya. Hotel staff are friendly! A luxurious stay and a lot of fun.

Do not go here. Do not make reservations here. The hotel is right in the middle of the ‘hood. This is not «Palm Beach» it is the high poverty high crime section nowhere near the ritzy Palm Beach you are thinking of. What makes this really horrible is the fact that they have a one week cancellation policy! Read your fine print. It is horrendous. We are a platinum elite family but Marriott is trying to stiff us with this place because we refused to have our vacation in that pit. We even went to another marriott down in Miami and they are still not helping.
Stay clear of this place. We may be staying completely clear of Marriott after this nightmare

Stayed here for 7 days and 6 nights. First the good. Its nice and upscale. Plus the employment is very friendly. However they nickel and dime you for everything. 22 bucks a day for parking and no personal coolers or chairs or food and beverage allowed on the beach.
Sorry if I played $ 1800 for a condo for thr week and dont want to pay $ 10 for your weak Mau tai cocktail.
They do have a kids club for $ 35 for 4 hours. Which is nice.
