Simi Obstetrics & Gynecology

This office is amazing! Dr. Kim has delivered my 2 babies for me and has been absolutely wonderful. She really takes an interest in patients and has been extremely available and compassionate throughout my (very difficult) pregnancies. The staff are really great, also, including Dr. Kim’s nurse, Lucy! She worked hard to rush a referral through for me one time. Love Dr. Garcia, too. She was really sweet and helpful when I called at 5 am during a miscarriage over the summer. Would never go anywhere else!

I absolutely love Simi Ob. The doctors are amazing. They are friendly and knowledgable. You never leave the office with any questions. The staff are friendly and inviting. They always have a smile on their faces. I did not have a great experience with Dr. Tan during a scary moment of my pregnancy, but that did not turn me away from how wonderful this week practice is. I am lucky to be a patient of theirs. Absolutely recommended.

I thought my previous doctor was OK but Dr. Kim is THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Her knowledge, level of care and professionalism is exceptional. Under my previous insurance (HMO), I had been dealing with a medical issue for a few years. I have new insurance (PPO) now and was dreading having to start over with a new doctor. I was dreading having to explain, and trying to get a new doctor to understand, what the problem was.
I was shocked at just how painless it all was. Dr. Kim took time to listen to me, thoroughly went through my records and asked me questions. At the end of the initial exam, we had a game plan and with that Dr. Kim gave me the help I desperately needed in a matter of weeks, not years. I don’t place my complete trust in a physician easily. Dr. Kim’s patience, compassion, knowledge and professionalism won me over instantly.
Everyone I interacted with here, front office and Dr. Kim’s nurse, was knowledgeable, thorough and pleasant. The facility is modern, comfortable and clean. I can’t sing enough praises about this facility and Dr. Kim but I will always and forever say THANK YOU!

The staff is awesome! Not only is the office located in a great area with tons of parking, but the inside of the office is beautiful. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice. So far I’ve only met Dr Lee, but from what I’ve heard though friends who also go here, all the other women Dr’s are just as amazing. The dr’s are young also… if that’s your thing. I’m so glad I took my friends advice and choose this office. It’s always scary moving to a new city and picking a Dr!

I moved to New Jersey 5 years ago, and I still return to see Dr Catherine Kim for my annual check up. Need I say more?

I’ve been a patient with Simi OBY for at least 17 years. Dr. Murphy, specifically has been my doctor, walking me through post child bearing years. He and his staff have always treated me with courtesy and respect and make the stirrup exam as comfortable as possible. I can always count on a friendly visit. And I know my questions will be answered and the doctor will follow up with me on any concerns. What more could I want? They rock!

For my 2015 pregnancy I cycled through all the doctors in the office. By far my favorite was Dr. Garcia and she delivered my healthy baby in August 2015. But everyone in the office was a great. I saw Dr. Lee the second most often. Everyone was thorough, knowledgeable and always helped with anything I needed. I will be going there for my primary GYN care as well as my subsequent pregnancies. Their nurses are really amazing too. Highly recommend !

The front office and nursing staff are great, from my first phone call to the day of my appointment they really put me at ease. Dr. Garcia is wonderful. She is very sweet and knowledgable. She walks you through everything step by step and really knows how to make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend this practice!

Great office!!! My experience was great. However sounds from the other reviews the problem was with the front staff. I did not have any issues making my appointment, the day of my appointment and the doctors there are extremely helpful. I completely had no issues and will return on my next scheduled appointment.

I was referred to them by a friend. Dr. Lee was great! Highly recommend them. She took her time to talk with me as well as listened to me. I didn’t feel rushed or uncomfortable, let’s face it, no one likes the yearly.

From the front desk to the Dr. Are great. Dr. Murphy has deliver both of my children and I’m very blessed for that. He is a sweet heart.

I have been going to Simi Obstetrics and Gynecology for several years. Dr. Kim is my primary doctor. I can’t say enough good things about her! She is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and she has such a kind and gentle spirit. She takes time to listen, and she addresses my concerns with compassion and kindness. She follows up with a phone call regarding any abnormal tests or other health issues. I trust her expertise. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Kim’s nurse, Lucy, is also professional, kind, and caring. She is excellent regarding following up on test results or other pending concerns. She has even called me to make sure I schedule follow up appointments, when they are important! I feel comfortable talking to her about my concerns, as well.
I have met with several of the doctors in the practice through the years, and they are all professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I trust the recommendations from the doctors, and I feel confident that I am in good care when I go to this practice.
The office staff have always been welcoming and helpful. The office is very organized. I recently needed to get an appointment for an urgent need and it was at the last minute, and the staff went out of their way to schedule me. When I arrived, I was seen in a timely manner.

I had only been to this office for my yearly women’s exam for about 6 years with NO issues. I became pregnant with my first baby in 2013 and delivered in 2014. My first doctors visit I was nervous. and Dr. Kim was very sweet, caring and reassuring. Throughout my pregnancy I had appointments with all the doctors. because when your due date comes it depends on who is on call, so its good to get a feel for everyone. I personally felt extremely comfortable with all of them I never had a rushed or bad experience. My personal favorite is Dr Garcia I saw her the most towards the end of my pregnancy and she delivered my daughter. Her bedside manner was perfect I don’t like sugar coating and In the moment of delivering I needed someone who was tough on me but in a coaching way. And she did just that. I have a new respect for her as she had been on call all weekend during my stay and managed to make visits post postpartum to make sure we were doing ok. I had multiple visits to this office postpartum for follow ups and each one was just fine.
The Dr that does the ultrasounds which I cant remember his name right now is such a pleasure to talk to. he is so nice!
I’m not sure who the other reviews speak of regarding the front office. Because each time I’ve been there all ladies say hi to me when I come in the door unless of course they are on the phone. but they still acknowledge me when I’m signing in.
I will write another post regarding the Simi Hospital– BTW also a great experience. the place feels like a hotel! and if you happen to get Nurse Jerry you just scored. But I’ll tell you more about that in another review. but feel free to ask me questions. :)

Dr. Murphy is a wonderful doctor. I enjoy visiting him.
The office staff is great. Everyone is super friendly. They value their patient’s time and don’t keep you waiting.

Was referred by my podiatrist who is in the same medical area. When I walked in I inquired if they were accepting new patients. I was asked about my insurance I gave the receptionist my Blue Cross Blue Shield card and she gave me *STANKFACE* as she LOUDLY asks me, «Is this Obamacare?» The card actually shows in large letters my husbands place of employment. I haven’t returned… I hate this kinda isht!

I have been coming to this office for a little over a year now, and I can officially say I will never be coming back. My mom was also a patient and recently found a new office and Gynecologist.
My second appointment was scheduled at 3:00pm and I wasn’t seen by Grace Lee until 3:45. When I got into her office, I waited another 20 minutes for her, and by the time she came in I told her I had to leave for work and she seemed unapologetic and rushed.
I’ve also been having issues recently about my birth control being switched up to the santa cruz pharmacy where I reside for college. I’ve talked to three different women regarding the renewal of my birth control and all of them never called back, so now I have to go another month without it because they waited too long to send a simple fax to the pharmacy. I may only be 23, but I know the difference between good service and awful service.
I have yet to get a phone call personally from Grace Lee, and it is clear this place does not care if they lose patients.
