History

Established in 2011.

We are a family owned business. We make our own healthy dog/​cat products called Great Life and decided to open a store front to sell it to the public at whole sale price. We are owned by a wholistic scientist, so we only carry quality food with no fillers, additives, or Chinese ingredients. We first started with a small section in the Great Life warehouse in simi Valley, but quickly expanded into the Thousand Oaks location.

I actually really like this place but since they closed their Thousand Oaks building and they only have this store I can’t shop there anymore. Their hours are only M-​F until 4:30. I live in NP and have cancer, can’t drive there just to get food during the week. Spoke to the young lady that answers the phone, she was very nice but no plans to keep it open longer. If I have to get my dogs use to another type of food because they are not accessible, I won’t be returning to that place. How sad!

Great store that sells at wholesale prices, and 50lb bags for $ 50! The employees are also very knowledgable :) a great store to shop at, especially now with Big Al’s closing, it’s a very good option!

Love this place. So Happy to see how far it has come. I wish it was more advertised. I worked here when it first opened a while back. It has changed so much. I have long moved since then and don’t always get to come in :(. The products are amazing and so healthy for your pets, Whenever I do come out I always stop by. They have great stuff for pets with allergies. My pug has a lot of unknown allergies. The food started to really help her. The staff is great and the owner is wonderful. Very nice people. I would stop by!

I love this store! It’s a great local business (I go to the Thousand Oaks location) The staff are knowledgeable and ALWAYS friendly and helpful. We buy Great Life food as well as bones, treats, and even have bought a dog bed. Their prices are often better than the larger stores and they offer a frequent buyer program as well as other promotions from time to time. Can’t go wrong here.

This review is for the new Thousand Oaks location. I was greeted by a young woman by the name of Sheena who took the time to walk me around and show me everything they had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised at her knowledge of all the different dog foods. I will definitely be coming back for more.
