They have a great selection of dogs for purchase super cute.
Their grooming wasn’t the best. They cut my dogs hair into a box head and his body hair was way too short. He had such a nice coat and looked like a different dog.

Brought our two beagles into My Playful Puppy today at the last minute with no appointment. They were able to fit me in and our two girls loved their bath and nail trimming. Prices were great and we will be returning. Mike and the groomers were great and the little bandana was a nice finishing touch.

I took my 2 month old puppy here and the groomer did such a good job! they even put a cute little bandana on him. Def going again!!! Everyone there is so nice and the store is clean.

I have been searching for a good groomer in Simi Valley for a long time. I finally found a place. I made my first appointment last month, I was able to get in right away. I was very nervous due to several bad experiences at other groomers. Trixie is our baby, so I want her in a happy, comfortable place.
I dropped my baby off and was able to pick her up within two hours. Her cut was just what I asked for. They did a great job.
The price is the same or less than I normally pay. I would highly recommend having your dog groomed at My Playful Puppy

Although I didn’t think I’d ever buy a dog I was recommended to My Playful Puppy from a friend who bought a wonderful Havanese from them. I was scared to purchase a dog, but honestly, I’ve never met a more wonderful dog then our Bubba! He has an amazing easy temperament, hardly ever barks, never whined at night because he was already crate trained and he learned to pee on the pee mat in a week. Mike was super helpful when we first bought Bubba and recommended us to a good vet as well. I plan to get another Havanese sister for Bubba soon so he won’t be lonely when we go to work.

Won’t be back for grooming for my Havanese– they never trimmed her ears or brushed her ears and tail.

I love My Playful Puppy! I bought my puppy from here in March. I wanted a puppy for a while so I went on their website and called about one of the puppies. When I went in I fell in love and bought my puppy that day. All the dogs there seem so well behaved. Mike really cares about all the dogs and is very helpful when buying a puppy. I went back recently to get my puppy groomed. He was matted on his back so he had to be shaved but he still turned out great. Thank you to everyone here for helping me out and caring for my puppy.

I bought a maltishih-​tzu puppy here and my family and I are absolutely in love!!! We love the store and employees! The store was super clean and so are the puppies. Mike is super nice and helpful. I would definitely go back and buy another puppy from here!

We’ve taken our little Yorkie– Abbi here for grooming for the past 2 years and Bianca has always taken great care of her. She always come back looking like a pampered princess. Bianca always has a new cute bow or handkerchief to make Abbi look so special. We love this place!

Found this place on a whim in my endless Yorkie puppy search, which would also be my own first puppy. I had been stressing for months trying to find a reputable breeder and it seemed like none existed. I was close to giving up and just going to get a puppy at BarkWorks in the TO mall. Before I went to BarkWorks I looked at the reviews on Unilocal and of course they were horrible. But, in the side bar of my Unilocal page was «My Playful Puppy.» Having never heard of it or what it was I decided to click on it. It was amazing to see such great reviews! I went to the website and saw some of the little puppies they had. They only had two boy Yorkies available and I desperately wanted a little girl. I was also going to be heading on a trip to Hawaii for a week and wanted to be able to give the puppy my full and undivided attention, so it was no bother to me to wait for a female. I emailed Mike at the store telling him my predicament. I told him that I wanted a girl and asked if he was planning on getting any soon? If so, can I put a deposit down for a female? I’m going to Hawaii in March, and one of the little boys on his website was super cute but I still wanted a girl etc. etc.
He emailed me back promptly that day and said that he doesn’t take deposits because he doesn’t believe that you should take a deposit on puppies without meeting them first because the chemistry might not be right (WOW! that was refreshing to hear. He really does care about these dogs and not the money like most breeders). Then he mentioned to me that the little boy I had said was cute actually had sold over the weekend and he wasn’t able to update his website yet (I contacted him very early in the week) but that his little SISTER had just had her last vet check that morning and was available that day!!! I cannot tell you how excited I was to hear that! Mike told me that if I wanted to come in he would be happy to show her to me and he told me that because he knew I was going out of town, if I wanted to pay for her after our visit, he would even be willing to «kennel» her until I got back at no extra charge since she was already used to the place. AMAZING! I work in Camarillo and on my lunch break that day I rushed over there to check out this new little baby girl. I walked in and the place was open, clean, and inviting. Mike was in the process of helping another customer but assured me that if I had any questions to ask. I saw my puppy and fell in love! Mike finished up and talked to me about her and took her out for me to play with. I can tell you this, I was not leaving that store without that puppy. LOL. Mike truly cares for these little puppies as his own, you can see it every time he picks one up and nuzzles them. It has been 3 months since then and I could not be happier. My puppy «Peanut» has been given a clean bill of health and my vet even told me that whoever bred her did a great job. She’s as spunky as ever and I cannot thank Mike and My Playful Puppy enough for bringing her into my life! I even still peruse his website to see if one day I want to get Peanut a little brother or sister later on lol. If you are hesitant (or a researcher like I am for EVERYTHING) I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Found this place about a year ago and bought a yorkie puppy from mike the owner of my playful puppy, a month later we bought our second yorkie. Mike and his daughter and his wife are great, I have bought all my yorkies little doggie shirts, they have a perfect fit and there is a large selection too I also have bought doggie treats and my harnesses and leashes. Mike is very knowledgeable and very very pleasant he is just a great guy. I also groom my 3 yorkies here with Bianca she is great she is most gentle and loving with my fur babies. I always feel at ease when I leave them. If you are looking to get a puppy or any doggie needs this is the place … Thank you Mike and family you guys are amazing!!!

Just picked up another puppy from here today. Fair price, very clean place and great atmosphere

I have been here twice now, both times Glenda did my malitpoo hair cut and bath. She does a great job and always asks for my input before cutting his hair. Can’t complain about that! ;)

We purchased our havanese puppy here. What a great place. The staff that runs the place are great! We purchased a playmate for our other havanese.

In one word– AMAZING!
Brought our 8 month old maltipoo to get groomed today, and let me tell u, he came out looking like a rock star! Service was awesome, price was great and results were fantastic! Very recommended!

Ive taken my mini poodle mix here since I moved to Simi valley. The owner is a really nice guy and the groomer girls are very sweet. I believe Jessica is the one who I always have groom my dog. She does a very good job, always looks so cute. I highly recommend :)

I took my 4 month old yorkie to get groomed for the very first time and I decided to bring him here, since they specialize in yorkies and smaller dogs.
The man who greeted me was very nice and helpful. The ladies who worked on my puppy were also very nice.
Since he was really matted they had to cut a lot off, but he still looked very cute.
I will stick to this place. Great service and good price ($ 42).

We are a new Yorkie Terrier family and My Playful Puppy has helped us through the journey of the new puppy parents stage. They are so very knowledgeable, kind and caring. We take our pup there for grooming and love the way Rusty comes back… PLUS Rusty loves going there. I LOVE MY PLAYFUL PUPPY!!!

This place is amazing! I had been looking for a yorkie for a couple of months in the Ventura County area and had no luck until I came across My Playful Puppy. Mike has always been helpful since the beginning. Answered all my questions and concerns. If you are interested in getting a puppy from here go to their shop ASAP because they do go fast. I had been looking at one of their puppies that they had a picture of online but I couldn’t go see him so he got sold that weekend. 1 week later I called and they had said they will have 6 boys available soon I went right away to see the puppies and I fell in love. The puppy I selected was not ready yet until 4 days later. I went ahead and put a deposit on him. All puppies are microchipped so they scan the puppy and give you a letter stating the chip’s number. This gave me security I will be receiving the correct puppy I selected.
The store is really clean and the puppies are very calm and playful. They do not have the puppies on glass windows!!! A BIG PLUS!!! They also have a section where you can play with multiple puppies so you get to select the puppy you want.
The process… They do have puppies available to take that same day so call before you go to see if they are any available. I had to wait 4 days because the puppy had just arrived and he needed a health check. The day came I needed to pick him up. The process was fast and easy. Mike goes over every detail with you… The puppies health record, akc ownership form, feeding instructions, Microchip registration, Vet free check up within 5 days of puppy purchase… Along with other forms… He also gives you his number if you have any questions. He provides you with a few puppy pee pads, puppy food, nutri gel to feed the puppy between meals, a blanket, a shirt for your puppy.
My yorkie is very playful, healthy, lovable and very affectionate!!! He is defiantly worth the price.

Just bought our second Yorkie (Ricky) from My Playful Puppy. Couldn’t be more happier with this place. We got Lucy about 4 months ago & just had to go back & get a playmate for her.
Not to mention the groomer who is awesome. She has always groomed Lucy & will definitely do Ricky too!
