Red dragon and firecracker rolls! Wow! Love this place and not as spendy as Westlake!

I’ve only been here a few times but so far so good. Each time we ate here the place was almost empty, maybe 1 or 2 other tables, a few people at the bar. Lucky us? That being said, the service was excellent. The sushi was great and tasted very fresh. They have a large variety of sushi to choose from and the daily specials list is packed with great items too. I will be back for sure.

Always great tasting sushi. Awesome sushi chefs. T j is a great guy. Joe is new and really knows what he is doing. The sushi chefs have thought me a lot about sushi and hands down the best sushi place in Simi.

Probably my favorite sushi restaurant in Simi. The staff is so friendly and nice, and their sushi is great quality too!

The best customer service I have had at a sushi joint in a long time. Our waiter was professional and funny, he treated us like family and that was great. The sushi was really reasonably priced and the happy hour menu surprisingly included the premium rolls. I’ll be back

The restaurant is in East Simi and is large and clean, yet cozy and inviting. The staff is attentive and pleasant every tme we eat there. The quality of the fish is excellent, and the rolls are delicious. Sushi portions are generous — always large pieces of fish. The portions of sashimi are a bit small. Highly recommend: Dragon Roll, Simi Roll,

I was not overly impressed when we ate here. We ate at the sushi bar and while the food itself was decent, the serving size was small for each of the rolls we ordered. The amount of fish that was given was lacking and the rolls were even shorter and sliced much thinner than in any other sushi restaurant we have eaten in recently. I can’t say that we would ever plan on going back, because there are plenty of other good sushi restaurants in the area.

Still my favorite sushi place in Simi Valley and we come here almost every week(or however often we can afford it). So far, they are the only ones who consistently have excellent uni and salmon egg sushi. PS: Of course I am coming from the standpoint that you want to have a reasonably priced sushi meal. I have not tried the omakase dinner at the other newer restaurant which a lot of people have been raving about. I haven’t yet found the occasion to splurge $ 100 for one person at that place, versus $ 100 for 3 – 4 people at O2.

O2 has by far the best sushi on the east side of Simi Valley. The fish is always very fresh and the flavors are incredible. I suggest the Simi roll and the kampachi sushi.

One of the better sushi bars in Simi. But the customer service is awful. Waiters didn’t come by and the food took forever!!! I won’t be returning.

5 min to get seated, 10 min until someone took our drink order and 40 min till we got our first roll. Missed my movie… so I am a little bitter. Sushi tasted good, as always! Service not so good:/

As far as sushi places go, O2 is a very solid above average restaurant. I’ve been here before in the past and thought it was fine, but last night was something surprising and unexpected. For one the sushi chef that served us was actually Japanese and studied in Japan! This is an amazing thing to go to a sushi restaurant and there actually being a Japanese chef! BIG points for that. He was very experienced and knowledgeable; this kind of person you would usually find working in a three to four dollar sign restaurant. The chef let us know what was fresh, the amaebi(sweet shrimp) which was still alive before he prepared it for us, and amazingly, it was only around $ 7 including the fried head! At our favorite sushi restaurant in Calabassas, this shrimp goes for $ 25! It was so fresh and delicious. Officially, this is my new favorite average level sushi place around.

Very good sushi and reasonably priced. The dragon roll is one of my favorites. Service can be iffy at times due to being understaffed. But truly some of the best sushi in Simi.

Ordered to-go for my lunch break. Price is reasonable, happy hour specials looked great but they didn’t offer it at the time I went. My shrimp tempura was good for the price, but giving only 3 stars because they messed up our order.

This is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Simi Valley! Their Ahi tuna & yellowtail are perfect every time and the service is great! I haven’t had a roll I didn’t like.

We’ve tried a lot of sushi places in Simi and we keep coming back to O2. The fish is always super fresh, the food tasty, the service attentive, and the atmosphere fancy but not pretentious. We keep coming back and have stopped sushi shopping in Simi for other restaurants. This is the one!

Been a while since i’ve been in, but every past visit has been great. Staff is friendly and efficient. Though the hostess woman is just okay(as i recall, big smile/limited English). The chefs are fun to watch and take the time to communicate with you directly when they are not too busy. Answering questions, having a laugh, recommending a dish. Fish is fresh and everything always tastes good. They make the absolute BEST and PRETTIEST Oyster Shooter around. Presentation with these guys is tops– as should be with the art of sushi. Orchids and veggie art abound. If you get a chance, hit up 02 for lunch or dinner — you’ll become a fan too.

Came in for a belated B-day lunch treat recommended by a local who had nothing but positives to say about O2. I have eaten at the O2 in Pasadena but they split the two locations a while back so they are not under the same ownership. This is one large location, cavernous for a non Teppanyaki Japanese restaurant. A huge sushi bar along the back wall and what seemed like an empty library for a dining room. We were out numbered by the staff 4 to 1. Usually lunch fare at almost any Japanese restaurant includes some lunch specials, a bento box combo, mixed sushi, etc.. Not here, they don’t offer any lunch specials or discounts. However you can get bulgogi beef? We only ordered a few items, albacore sashimi in ponzu, salmon and some huge roll, A Simi roll-shrimp temura wrapped in a California roll with spicy tuna on the outside, meh… All o.k. but certainly nothing to rave about. I have nothing particularly good or bad to say about O2 very average at best. I am sure they must have a large local following but I for one, won’t be coming back.
