Lenscrafters

I had a great experience coming here! They were able to make me an appointment the next day and squeeze me in for contacts. The doctor was incredibly friendly made me feel absolutely welcome and very important to be in their office which is which is awesome. I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone in the area very friendly and their contacts come very quickly.

I had a long internal debate with myself on this updated review because my overall experience with this particular Lenscrafters store was a combination of good and bad.
The good: every staff who communicated with me during the 4 weeks (yes, FOUR weeks) I had to wait for my new eyeglass lenses were professional to a fault and very polite. Updates were also provided on a regular basis.
The bad: my Oakley frames got damaged while their technician was trying to remove a screw in order to fit the new lenses in. The screw broke and ended up stuck in the arm of the frames, thus rendering the frames pretty much useless. Although I had very little emotional attachment to those frames, they were still new because they were used rarely before I decided to get new lenses. And I liked them.
The good again: Lenscrafters gave me the option of selecting new frames from their inventory. Nothing was off limits. i did find a pair that fit my face nicely and had small details that made the look unique.
Your mileage may vary with this store. The point I want to stress is the staff did all they could to fix their mistake. I am just not sure I’ll visit them again in the future. We shall see.

This may be long but it’s worth your read before you go here. It started out with an appointment with the optometrist (Knight Vision) at this location. I told him what I wanted as I don’t need glasses for distance but I would like progressive readers. Progressive because when I’m on the computer the screen is two to three feet away and when I’m reading a book it closer, like maybe one foot.
During the exam I ask about these places you see ads for selling glasses for $ 69 and I was told by the doctor that those places are selling the old style prescription glasses and the patent has expired on that way of making glasses and they do the most up-​to-​date glasses here at Lenscrafters.
With my new prescription in hand and my pocket about $ 100 lighter I went out in the store and found a nice frame. It said «Made in China» on the side yet was still over $ 100. I took those up to the counter and some guy came over and helped me out with getting my prescription filled; another $ 200. He didn’t bother to fit the glasses to my face first though so in about 10 days when I got my glasses, I could see anything out of them once they adjusted them. Back they went again for new lenses again… They came back this time and it was better but I couldn’t see very well out of them and I was told I would need to «break them in» so I took them home and used them for a week.
After a week of headaches I brought them back. I told them I think the prescription was bad. They sent me back in to see the doctor and he had made the prescription for reading only, and not computer work so I had pretty much a pair of $ 400 reading glasses. He spent about 5 minutes with me and gave me a new prescription so I went back out to get that prescription put in the glasses and I was told by the salesman that if I wanted really clear vision I should go with the new technology glasses and not the old style… So what he was telling me is what I got here so far for $ 400 I could have got for $ 69 at one of those other places…
I forked up another $ 100 for the new technology style glasses because off course I want to see clear. About a week later they came and again I couldn’t see very well and was told to take them home and see if things got better. They didn’t. I brought them back and Lenscrafters was very nice about refunding me my (about) $ 400 but I was told there is no refunds from the doctor since he provides a service… I guess he gets paid even for bad service. I’m done with Lenscrafters as you can guess.

They say a great customer service happens within 5 seconds of a customer/​guest walking into your store– this is a main indicator of exceptional service and LensCrafters is no exception. Within seconds of walking in Keith promptly greeted us, asking if we needed any help. Being the indecisive person that I am– having his assistance was a tremendous help. I was in search of a new pair of glasses that could withstand the hands of a toddler seeing she easily broke my last pair.
Mind you I came here just to browse thinking I could make due with my broken pair.
However, after Keith’s guidance I was able to quickly pick a pair of glasses out and I was in and out within 20 minutes!
He was fast, courteous, helpful and over all really pleasant to deal with. He made sure I was happy with the glasses, gave very helpful suggestions and walked me through my insurance coverage.
I’m so glad I came in today as an hr after my order I was walking out with a new pair of glasses!

I was BLOWN AWAY by my first Lenscrafters experience a few weeks ago. Ryan and his esteemed peers went above and beyond what I would have ever expected from a national chain, and gave me incredible personalized service during a busy Saturday afternoon rush.
After groggily leaving Portland, Oregon in the wee-​hours of morning, I headed up to Bremerton for the sake of a Roller Derby tournament. It was with utter horror that I realized upon arriving at my first game that I’d left my contact lenses at home. I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it through the day wearing my chunky plastic glasses, and that I’d be a danger to all on the track if I skated blind. I called Lenscrafters in a frenzy to see what could be done. Imagine my surprise when an actual human being answered the phone, before business hours had even begun! Ryan was sympathetic and up to the challenge.
With the collaborative efforts of my optometrist back east in New York, Ryan and staff made it all happen, and within 2 hours of initially calling, I was fitted with new and very very affordable contact lenses. If I had it to do over again, of course I would have tried to be the responsible adult I like to think I am and NOT have forgotten my contacts in the first place, but the unbelievable service received, combined with the hilarity of me and my teammates sprinting through the Kitsap Mall (in booty shorts and spandex, of course) on a mission to find the Lenscrafters store front was almost worth the stress!

I’ve been going to Dr. Knight for 8 years, ever since I went to take my eye test for my driver’s license and we suddenly realized I’m blind as a bat. It’s pretty easy to get an appointment with him on short notice since you can make them online through the Lenscrafters website. Both he and his staff are very thorough and friendly — he’s probably the only doctor I’ve ever had who asks me how work and school are going.
The Lenscrafters store itself can get busy, but all the employees that I’ve interacted with were knowledgable and helpful. They’ve managed to salvage quite a few frames after I’ve bent them out of carelessness. They send coupons out for frames fairly often or they offer a AAA discount.
