Let me tell you, blues burger was delicious! What I did not like about this place is the fact that you have to order the food at the hosting counter. I felt rushed to order because there were people waiting behind us. I would probably order an appetizer or a soup if I had a chance to look at the menu at the table.

So very disappointed! The service in the bar was first class. When my veggie burger arrived it was cold, the burger was not formed & it looked like hash. The cheese was clumped on the hash. My friend had a burger, she asked for a lettuce wrap not bread The burger came wrapped In half a head of iceberg lettuce! The Manager removed my food from the check. We will return & try again.

What a pleasant surprise, to be on Unilocal and discover, quite accidentally, that Blazing Onion has opened up shop in Silverdale. Let me explain. I was already a fan of Blazing Onion, due to visiting their Gig Harbour location. But there was the rub: I had to go to Gig Harbour to get it. It’s a bit of a long haul from home — but sometimes I made the trip anyway. The variety of their different burgers and sandwiches, the sweet potato fries, the onion rings, and the magic mix and match soda machine drew me in every time. Each of their burgers is good, and they are consistently good — juicy beef, well-cooked, and lots of flavorful toppings. They also have Buffalo and lamb options for the interested. My go-to favourites are the Ranchand Bacon burger(which includes a fried egg on it) and the Pub burger, with its pretzel bun and a layer of pastrami and Dijon mustard. All of them are big, bold statements about the beauty of a good hamburger. We recently discovered their desserts too — the mocha mud pie is a decadent treat not to be missed. And now I don’t even have to make the long trip. The Silverdale location is in the new Trails shopping centre, near the Kitsap Mall, and fits right into the slightly upscale vibe. The staff is always friendly, and while they struggled a little early on with an awkward entryway, recent visits have improved the flow nicely. And the magic mix and match soda machine? Yep — it’s here too. Two of them, even. It’s probably a dangerous thing, that Blazing Onion is closer to home in Silverdale now. But I’m not complaining even a little.

New burger joint in town! Decided to stop by and give it a try. It wasn’t too busy when we walked in, so we decided to sit at the bar area; a rustic feel to it, and it looked like they have every type of whiskey! It was Margarita Tuesday, so I ordered a raspberry margarita. It was decent, a bit too much syrup for my taste. For dinner I ordered the California Bacon Burger. There was nothing special about it, Other than the fact that we waited almost half an hour for our food, it was an overall pleasant first experience.

Kids had chicken strips/fries and I had mushroom burger. They were pretty good. I ordered a gluten free bacon burger to go for my wife. I just got home and took it out of the box, and the bacon is nearly raw. Gross!

First and last timers Well it said I had to give it a star and since –1 was not an option I had to give it a 1. DONOTEATHERE!!! The fish and chips where disgusting the fish was not fresh and western family french fries would be a step up. Homemade tarter sauce tasted like salt As for the cobb salad it was just bland, the blue cheese dressing was blah, only thing that was good here was the bacon, and since when does a cobb salad come with apples? Appetizer caprese flat bread pizza was worse than pizza rolls. The ambiance was very nice. To bad the service and food did not match the décor.

Amazing lamb burger — like eating a gyro on a bun. Cali Bacon Burger really good, Homemade Veggie Burger was a little spicy but quite tasty. Sweet Potato Fries = EPIC!

Even though it is new in town, and they are working out the kinks with staffing and such, Blazing Onion is a great burger joint alternative to Red Robin. Their bar area is really big and they have a ton of different whiskies. The only problem is that with kids, you’re relegated to the regular seating area. The food is what’s important though, right? Their burgers are really creative and prepared really well. I haven’t been disappointed yet. The onion rings are beer battered and delicious. Just make sure to order them as an alternative to your fries with a small up charge. If you order them as a side, you pay $ 6~ and get a puny servings worth. I did this as an appetizer for me and the family, and the server was very sweet when she realized I was disappointed with the serving size for the price. She fixed it for us and got us another order for free, but only to keep us happy, not because they accidentally gave us too little. All in all its a nice place too eat. I love the beer selection, and the kids love the self serve coke freestyle machines. The price is reasonable and the service is quick and efficient. One word of caution though, just because you get bottomless fries doesn’t mean you’ll actually get more before you’re ready to leave. More fries take forever. I’m guessing the additional order just goes to the back of the line… Oh well, it’s still a great place for a decent priced burger!

I was very excited to hear we were getting a Blazing Onion as I love the one in Gig. This one is still learning to walk as far as a good eatery goes. That’s understandable. They are still fairly new. The food we ordered was all just okay. I will say my French onion soup was surprisingly good. The highlight of the stay. Our time here was short as we managed to land a rather sour waitress in the bar. Kirsten, I believe. She was very curt and inattentive. Basically, she spent the majority of her time chatting up one fellow at the bar while my table and a few others tried to get her attention. It definitely colored our first experience here. If we could do it all over we would have sat at the bar. The bartender that night was jolly and much more pleasant to interact with. Next time, I guess.

We came in yesterday around 1730 and it was already busy. However, we were still seated fairly quickly. I ordered the wild boar burger and it was delicious! The cook who made the sweet potato fries that I ordered with it was a little too heavy handed on the salt though. Service was really good, our waiter was very attentive. The manager also came by to ask how everything was. I would say we had a really good experience and will definitely come back again because of the great food & service.

Went there for the 1st time yesterday and was very pleased! Extremely clean looking, nicely decorated and more TVs for game watching than I have seen in awhile. The food was good. Hot when it arrived. Fish&chips not oily and had a good flavor having used IPA as a batter mix. The owner/manager came over to make sure all was going well. Bathrooms were very clean as well. I sat in the lounge area and ordered from the menu but I do like the fact that you have an option for a quick grab and go. Desserts … huge! I will for sure return.

New to Silverdale. This place was a very pleasant experience. Very busy(maybe because it is fairly new and novel) but they seemed to be moving people along pretty well. Sit in the bar and you get full service — waitress takes your order and brings your food. Sit in the main dining area and you get the«casual» dining experience — order at a counter and a waitress brings your food. Either way works for me, but we chose the bar on this visit because we were kid-free. I was particularly impressed with how well the service works. New restaurants typically have«growing pains» as they work the kinks out, but the location seems to be farther along than the normal. Orders were correct, food came quickly and drinks were never left empty. Food focuses on burgers and the like and they do them well. The food was cooked and presented well, and was quite tasty. Sweet potato fries were good, pub fries were good. Price was about what you would expect. The bar has a very extensive selection of alcohol if that is your thing, and the bar area also has a good number of TVs tuned to sports channels. Overall, pretty happy with the experience and I will be back.

Let me start by saying this place has a great concept, you order before you sit down so drinks come quick, instead of having one overwhelmed server the entire staff takes care of you, the food though, I had a pub burger it was one of if not the best burger I have ever had I also had sweet potato fries and the dessert was a huge slice of what appeared to be Reese’s pie what is going on here is great … Now as a new establishment, there were flaws … Lack of communication between staff Wrong drinks served twice Very small portion of fries Ordered two desert received one Over charged on drinks Wife’s burger was under cooked and cold Although these things happened I understand and once bringing this to their attention almost all were corrected I love this place I I will be a frequent customer

This place is just ok. I was looking forward to the opening because I had heard the one in gig harbor was excellent. So first of all we celebrated the birthday for my two kids who both have birthdays in Jan. We invited my parents to come along. First of all the main dining area is really small, very surprised about that. Second I liked the idea about ordering before you sit, but in the lobby at the hostesses station. We got our food the jalapeño poppers are nothing to write home about. I had a spicy burger and asked for well done and it was pretty pink on the inside. Service was good imo. Second visit I thought I would try the bar, I was by myself. I ordered some manny’s pale ale very good. The only problem was I ordered to the garlic fries which were just ok. I had the choice of sauces and I picked the tarter. It tasted very good but when I got home I was very sick to my stomach. I dont know how they are keeping their tarter sauce but I think it was at room temperature for too long. I went home an immediately had to lay down in bed because I was so sick to my stomach. I was fine when I walked thru their door. I know they are new, but I hope they get better as the employees get more experience. This is my experience, take it or leave it.

Service was great. Tried the jalapeño artichoke dip and the turkey burger. The dip was phenomenal! The burger was average. I would like to come back to try another burger. Friends I went with ordered the fish and chips, buffalo burger and the veggie burger. Everyone agreed that the food was decent, but not out of this world. We all said we would come back, but it wouldn’t be the first place we would think about going to get a burger.

I went here last week with my fiancé at around 7:00 on a Saturday night and this place was hoppin! We decided on sitting in the bar as it offered traditional service. But mostly what I was excited for was their whiskey bar. Looking at all the golden bottles on shelving made me feel like a kid in a candy store. Waitress wasn’t too knowledgable about the different brands, but she quickly flagged down what appeared to be her bar manager who was very helpful in helping me find a new favorite blend. Drinks we’re a little on the pricey side, but I guess paying ten bucks for a glass of fine Irish whiskey is expected. The food came out a bit slower than some of the other tables who sat after us. Fiancé had the fish tacos which we’re very good, and I had a chicken sandwich. My sandwich was a bit bland. Didn’t taste like anything I couldn’t get at a Red Robin or some other sit-down burger joint. Sweet potato fries were also nothing special. But what made me a fan was the HUGE array of various liqueurs. This place is full of spirit. Liquid and emotional form. Was very loud. Don’t come here if you’re looking for a quiet evening with your S/O. Atmosphere is very updated and fresh looking, yet feels like it’s been lived in for man years. I feel that any problems myself or other Unilocal reviewers will have with this place will be sorted out with time. Give the staff a few months to really get to know this location and I think we’ll have a winning spot in Silverdale. All in all nothing was«bad» about my experience here. Everything was pleasant and informative. I even walked out of there with a new favorite blend of whiskey :) With great options such as Blazing Onion, Silver-City Brewery and the Oak Table Café here in town, Silverdale is the place to go for all the best eats/drinks.

To be fair, I have to start off by saying that my first experience at this location Was on an evening they offered Facebook contest winners a free meal for two on a night they were training still– not open to the general public yet. My husband and I walked in and took one glance at the seating areas– a general eating lounge and a bar area. It took less than 10 seconds to decide we wanted to sit in the bar. This location totes the«largest whiskey selection» this side of the water– and while I’m not a whiskey drinker, just seeing all the different bottles they had to choose from was pretty neat. One wall of the bar is a bookcase that is ceiling high with rails for a sliding ladder– they keep the«really good, really expensive» whiskeys on display there. The bookcase definitely makes the bar area more unique, it’s a focal point and a great conversation starter. There are TV’s all throughout the restaurant so wherever you sit you should have good visibility of a screen(we sat in the lounge with our kids at our second visit and there were TV’s all over the place). Both my husband and I ordered beers(Mac and Jacks) and the Bacon burger that came with blue cheese — the exact name escapes me! All burgers come with endless REGULAR fries, not the upgraded fries(sweet potato or waffle cut, etc). My husband learned that the hard way when he upgraded to sweet potato and was denied a second order for free. Not a big deal but something they should mention when you order. When our food came out, our server asked us what kind of sauce we wanted for fries– she named off a bunch of different options, so we got a couple each. I had the sriracha aoili and chipotle mayo for my fries and they were both delicious and came in little single serving cups. Our burgers were a bit dry, and the burger patties themselves were smaller than I expected, but who’s to complain when you’re getting a free meal? The second time we came back, we were with our kids and say in the lounge. I liked the idea of ordering up front before you sit down, though I can see how it can be annoying if the place is especially busy. We ordered and chose our own table. Our food came within 10 minutes– score! My husband and I ordered the same burgers as before. And just as before, a bit dry. They were bigger in size, and the toppings and bun were great though. The service both times was excellent, and we’ll definitely be back. And next time I’ll request a burger cooked to «medium» :)

Didn’t have the same feel as their Gig Harbor location but the food was decent and the staff were great. Being somewhat new we expected a bit of a wait but wasn’t to bad. Felt a bit like a cafeteria or school lunchroom atmosphere but again the food was decent. There are a lot of staff and they were all quick to help and all kept very busy. The kitchen side is loud and the staff and the kitchen were yelling order info back and forth but is expected in this type of setting. Overall it was a good place to eat. We were impressed with the service, food was just what we expected. Will go back again.

Visited this place last night for the first time! As a new restaurant in Silverdale, it’s extremely busy. Right away, I was not a fan of their ordering system. The fact that you have to order and pay before you sit down is definitely time efficient for them, but their staff is still inexperienced, so they had a hard time focusing on taking our party’s order all at once(every minute or so, the hostess would be distracted from taking our payment). They have a tiny podium where they take orders and their receipts were scattered around. I would have loved if the hostess was more knowledgeable about the menu, but it’s understandable, since the place is so new. Food-wise, I was satisfied. I ordered the Chicken Avocado Burger and every part of it was great, down to the sauce and bun. I loved the options for fries(including sweet potato and garlic fries!) Cons: my plate came out 15 minutes before anyone else in my group. One person’s order was misunderstood, but they gladly took it back to the kitchen. Something I noticed: friendly and personable staff, but also inexperienced. I thought it was nice that a manager stopped by to wish my friend a happy birthday. We also received a complimentary drink and sundae from the restaurant. Beautiful area to have a restaurant(love the holiday lights – it’s reminiscent of U Village). Great parking. Definitely a solid 3-star establishment. Would love to come back in a few months to see if there are any improvements.

Went to blazin onion last night for the first time. I got the Texas heat burger on a pretzel bun and it was delicious! I am not a fan of how the whole process works but that is just me. Was crowded but it was expected as they have only been open for a couple days. So as far as food goes, it was great!
