History
Established in 2015.
The two owners of the business met in the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Program at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. They became best friends and decided to move back to the DMV, where Pulse Community Care was born.
Pulse Community Care is a space that facilitates growth and connection through Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine & Community Events.

Business Owner
Jacqueline Sanchez, L.Ac. MSAOM and Janaye Volk, L.Ac. MSAOM both received a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University where they treated patients in a variety of specialty clincis including: chronic fatigue, oncology, HIV/AIDS, and addiction/methadone treatment.
In addition to their didactic and clinical training, both practitioners studied with Doctors of Chinese Medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine training hospitals in Chengdu and Shanghai. In China, they received hands on training in multiple specialties, including cardiology, gynecology, fertility, dermatology, pediatrics, rheumatology, and traumatology.
Both practitioners have received additional training in other therapies, including NADA AcuDetox, craniosacral therapy, tuning fork therapy, acupoint aromatherapy, and massage therapy.
