History
Established in 2004.
Trained as a general practitioner, I have experience treating all sorts of physical and emotional imbalance and pain including stress, anxiety, back pain, allergies, headaches, arthritis, insomnia, effects of cancer and its accompanying medical interventions, digestive distress, fatigue, etc.
Through my own challenges, I became passionate about and have specialized in Women’s Health, Male and Female Fertility, and Maternity Care since 2008. I use acupuncture, dietary therapy, and bodywork to improve client’s health and vitality.

Business Owner
Gillian Powers, M.Ac., L.Ac., earned her Master of Acupuncture degree from the TAI Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland in 2004 (now called Maryland University of Integrative Health). Through her own struggles with infertility, she began to specialize in women’s health, male and female fertility, and maternity care. Gillian creates a treatment program specific to each individual — whether they are just beginning to think of starting a family, or are presently undergoing an IVF cycle. She has seen again and again how acupuncture is an effective, drug-free therapy that dramatically improves fertility outcomes. Gillian treats the whole person — addressing diet, lifestyle, and emotional well-being — using Acupuncture, Acupressure, Zero Balancing, and more in support of her clients’ comprehensive health. Gillian Powers is an in-network provider with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and maintains a thriving practice at Crossings in downtown Silver Spring, MD.
