Well I’ve been looking for a dentist for sometime. And it seems that I will continue that search. I went to Dr Poon for a cleaning and check up. Talking to him on the phone I had high hopes, he was kind and knowledgeable. When I did finally have my appointment I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the facility. Things were cluttered and I questioned the hygienic(s) of the facility. But I continued through to the exam and cleaning. I should have left. The cleaning was painful. Real painful. There were moments where I almost stood up and left. I don’t have sensitive and i consider myself to have a high tolerance of pain. Didn’t matter. My teeth hurt still as I write this review(12 hours later). I don’t think there’s suppose to be that much blood from a cleaning. I wish I had a better experience, I wish the facility was cleaner. Dr. Poon is a terrific man and is very kind, though I will have to continue my search for a dentist.

I went to his office for cleaning of my teeth. He was not very gentle. I believe it even caused one of my teeth to be broken. I felt a lot of pain when he was cleaning my teeth. He made also X ray; but never gave me the film even I requested. This was my first visit to Dr Poon’s office. The price was not too high. In general I would not recommended him.

Dr. Poon was the third dentist I tried since moving to Silver Spring, and he gets my vote. I really don’t like when you walk into a posh dentist office, and then when you’re in the chair the try to sell you on everything from teeth whitening to extra x-rays. Dr. Poon does none of the above, and on top of that does the teeth cleaning himself. When’s the last time you saw your dentist for more than 30 seconds at the end of your cleaning? His office is very basic, but that is not an issue for me.
