Honestly I have minor complaints about living here. The «state of the art gym» is uhh pretty limited but it’s something. The walls are thin and the stomping from the neighbors above us was insufferable but they have since moved and life is good again. That is until someone else moves in. Other than that I love how spacious my apartment is. We have no roaches which is fantastic and having a W/​D in our unit is so convenient. Maintenance requests are resolved fairly quickly as well.

I just moved out of Peppertree after living there for 5+ years. I’ve had a very pleasant experience to be honest. If you choose this place make sure you talk with Armando and get to know him. He’s a pretty cool dude and things will be a lot easier going through him. Maintenance is pretty fast and they get things done the right way.

Have lived here for two years now and can’t complain about the rent. Although with a cheap rent you get cockroaches and mice I have spent major about of money trying to exterminate these mice and they continue to creep in. Have told management about the problem and they do the bare minimum to fix the problem.

WORSE place to live, I’ve been currently living on weeping willow drive, I’ve been at my address for the pass 8 months I’ve called almost every month to complain about the mice issue the exterminator has came to my apartment more than once on a monthly occasion, I have complained and spoken to the manager and he offered to move my family into a different apartment building but there would be a fee of $ 500 which is crazy the exterminator that only comes on Tuesday told me that my building has had this issue for years and that the stuff they use to patch the wholes that the mice chews right through it I have a video of the mice wondering around as if he was part of my family. I’m currently in the process of finding a new place, I’m putting my kids at risk, what if the mice pees or poops my child’s toys… that’s a big lawsuit .OH and by the way the gas and water bill is divide by the whole building, recently I went on vacation for 3 weeks but got a water and gas bill for 115 keep in mind my family and I was on vacation during the billing period they issued my bill for, and my thermostat was set to 65 degress since nobody was home. ONCE AGAIN WORSE PLACE TO LIVE. if i could give this place no stars i would but my only option was one star.

As if our experience in this place wasn’t bad enough, we just received our highest gas bill EVER since we lived here. The problem? We don’t use gas heat AT ALL (and never have!). We use electric heaters instead.
We were told that they combine the usage of everyone in the ENTIRE COMPLEX and divide up the bill according to the number of people on the lease. Translation: They «guesstimate», and now we are left paying a huge chunk of someone else’s heat bill.
We’ve contacted the leasing office, the Home Properties corporate office and the gas company. All of them have said that there is nothing that they can do, so we’re stuck shoveling a huge chunk of change to help pay for people that leave their heat on all day and night.
If you move to this apartment complex, you’re asking for trouble.
You have been warned.

This place gets alot of bad reviews and i was really hesitant to live here. However, i have lived here now for 1 year and cannot complain about much that you wouldn’t expect when residing in an Apartment complex. MY apartment is spacious and nicely upgraded. I have not had any issue with anyone in the office or maintenance what so ever. My maintenance issues get resolved fairly quick, and i understand that things can’t be done that same minute due to the size of complex, and i love my apartment. Great location to DTSS and Rockville as well as DC. I say come try it for yourself and see how you like it here. You cant please everyone but i sure am one of those pleased residents. Keep up the good work guys!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place washer/​dryer in unit. Comparison to Montgomery county the prices are reasonable and yes they are upfront about the utility ie gas, water & sewer is separate. I’ve so far not experienced anything bad here. Staff is very friendly and prompt about any issue/​concern we had– so far, so good! They have plenty of areas for pets and it’s very quite. I say if you’re thinking to move in be very clear about what you want ask for Christopher he’s great! Cheers!

This place has low reviews for a reason. We have been here for 4 years and we realize there is no way we can stay here another year. Staff tends to be unprofessional and does not know what is going on half the time. THEY SHUT WATER OFF SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. People smoke marijuana in the hallways and for being a good tenant (paying rent on time for our duration) they placed a threatening letter on our door in a attempt to remind us to pay a balance less than five dollars or they would begin eviction proceeding. Mind you that we pay more than our rent b/​c to cover water bill because its included but not included so its a guessing game to know what your actual bill is so you guess. Cant say you have not been warned. Choose wisely!!!

I didn’t get a chance to actually travel to MD to visit apartments prior to actually moving here, so I ended up having to choose a place to live using a complex mathematical method of Google searches and «eeny meeny miney mo.» It may have also involved throwing darts at a map. And, Jesus, did I lose that bet.
My apartment itself is pretty spacious, with the exception of the midget-​sized bathroom. It looked freshly painted with new carpeting. I’ve got a large balcony, a washer and dryer, and an eat-​in kitchen. I don’t quite understand why the eat-​in portion of the kitchen is the only room in the apartment with a ceiling fan, but whatevs. The complex itself is large and maze-​like and very pet friendly (which was my number one criteria). Overall, however, the neighborhood is not worth the exorbitant monthly rent.
Let’s start with the fact that my neighbors are the loudest group of people who have ever walked the earth. I am thoroughly convinced that there are at least 15 people living in the apartment above me which I believe is only a 1-​bedroom. They communicate mainly by screaming at each other and, from the amount of noise coming from my ceiling, they apparently also like to either run relay races or wrestle each other. I can also hear the comings and goings of the entire building through my front door. The neighbors are not considerate of anybody because they blast loud Tejano music at any given time of the day and they just throw junk mail on the ground instead of in the trash. There also seems to be a lot of young men that like to hang out in the parking lot comparing their dick sizes as represented by their customized Japanese cars with loud-​ass mufflers. One time I looked out my balcony and saw 3 of them spray painting a car matte black. They weren’t graffiti-​ing it or anything. Just wanted to change the color, I guess… using Krylon or something…
I just hope that I don’t get shot by an MS13 in the next 12 months.
