Monomental Music Group is a music industry collective. We create custom music /​audio content for TV, major label radio /​club, online & corporate brand identity.

History

Established in 2006.

Local music composer AJ Halpern started Monomental Music Group in 2006 to meet a growing demand for TV music that was artist made and custom: the kind you can’t buy from a website. He partnered with some of the DC area’s top musical and tech talent to compose the main theme for TLC’s ‘LA Ink’. In Discovery HD’s rebrand, MMG won a Promax award for their score, «Anthem». That same year, they did History’s «Tougher In Alaska» series. In the music industry, Monomental Music Group has charted #4 Billboard K-​Pop chart with Baek Ji-Young’s title single, «Good Boy, «and did the Jive remix for Hot Chelle Rae’s «Tonight Tonight» (#7 Billboard Hot 100 chart for 36 weeks). In the rap game, they did singles with Mobb Deep, Method Man, and YMCMB. As a music brand and imprint, MMG creates the content that will speak your message. What does your music LOOK like?

Business Owner

AJ Halpern was musically accomplished at a very young age, placing in prestigious competitions locally and nationally. He went on to explore electronic music, bands, many instruments, and recording records. He had his first college radio placement at 16 years old. He toured all over the world with musical groups, playing different instruments and singing. AJ released the music project Nimbus to Pan Pacific Hotel Group and retailers across Canada, Europe, and Africa. He did many remixes for DJ’s. In 2006, AJ formed Monomental Music Group to fill the growing need for top flight music and audio for TV and major labels.
