Kolley’s Exterminating

Needing a new company to inspect for termites a friend gave me the info on Kolley’s. I made an appointment for last February and when the tech came to the house he said he didn’t know why they made a termite appointment for February since you don’t check for termites until May when they get active. I was surprised and a bit annoyed to have wasted his time and my time. As requested I rescheduled for May and was again given the 2 hour window for the appointment. I got up and waited, and waited and surprise no one ever showed. When I called Kolley’s office I was told that they had no appointment on the books and I’d have to reschedule. I was pissed but decided to give them one more chance. I requested an exact time appointment since I had now already experienced their window of time appointment twice and still hadn’t had service. The receptionist said they couldn’t do this it wasn’t their policy. I tried to be the nice guy and went ahead with another appointment for the following week. Once again I was up and waiting and guess what… NO ONE EVER SHOWED. I just called the company and tried to speak to a manager but unfortunately they weren’t in the office. I explained the situation to the receptionist and told her how angry and dissapointed I was and they had just lost a potential client. She wanted me to reschedule and I said only if I have an exact time appointment as I would no longer wait. «Sorry but that’s not our policy» Well you know what… it’s not my policy to use companies that have no respect for their client’s time and who clearly don’t want new business.

Kolley’s were prompt in scheduling an appt; did a great job with spraying dust into all the nooks and crannies of these pests. They give a 60 day call back for any problems. I had him (Gene) come back today to get the last of these pests. He showed the holes to putty up with wood putty to discourage a repetition.
Honest and dependable.

I feel like a review for an exterminator should be tucked away in a quiet, dark corner of Unilocal,but I was so impressed with this company I shall forge ahead in the new format anyway.
A year or so ago I put up a bird feeder in my yard where I could see it from my kitchen window. I loved watching the birds, especially the colorful Cardinals. But we have lots of trees and shrubs in our yard and we are half a block from the woods and eventually some «undesirable guests» started coming by to eat the bird seed that spilled on the ground. I was in denial for a while that «these rodents» could be in my yard. This morning though I couldn’t try to ignore the problem anymore and got a recommendation for an exterminator. I called Kolley’s and the pleasant woman who answered explained to me what they would need to do and the cost. The price for an initial visit and weekly follow-​up for 30 days was very reasonable. She said she would see if she could get me an appointment for that afternoon. There was one available and she gave me the timeframe. About a half an hour later the phone rang and our service technician asked if he could come by early, in about 10 minutes. Yes, of course – we don’t have to sit and wait all afternoon! Our technician listened to our problem and looked around our yard, then reassured us that our «undesirable guests» were almost certainly not also in the house as we would have noticed evidence of their presence. Oh, thank you, thank you. He was very careful about where he placed baits in the yard as we have dogs and also our grand-​daughter is a frequent visitor. He comes back for the next few weeks to check everything and do what he needs to do (don’t ask cause I’m not sure and really don’t want to know). Oh, and added plus, he didn’t try to sell me a bunch of other inspections and contracts and scare tactics!
