Owner of District Financial Planning

Jeffrey Settle is a Virginia native spending most of his years in Virginia Beach, VA. He attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and minored in Sociology. Since 2004, Jeff has been serving the needs of busy professionals by helping them to pursue their financial goals. In 2007, Jeff was recruited to move to the DC area to help lead a team of new financial advisors. Jeff learned that his passion was with helping his clients and got back into practice for himself. In 2009, Jeff earned his CFP® designation. In 2011, Jeff made the decision to become an independent financial advisor where he could help the needs of his clients and have the freedom and the resources to give his clients the best advice, products, tools, and service.

I’m a pretty financially savvy person, but I don’t have the training to dig through technical fine print and make the best decisions. I also don’t want my life revolving around interest rates and tax brackets. To live my life, I needed a money guy. A guy for stuff like this. Jeff is my guy.
Like many people, I had an endless list of complex calculations. Which investments should I make? Which loans are sensible to pay off and when? How can I reduce my tax burden? Which of the many available plans should I be using to save for retirement? Jeff has been prompt, efficient, and (useful for busy professionals) very easy to work with. I’ve been able to schedule meetings at my convenience, either at his location, in places chosen by me, or over the phone. His fee is extremely reasonable, pays for itself, and is more than worth the sense of financial security which puts my mind at ease.
Now when my employer hands me a stack of fine print on investment and retirement options, I don’t panic. When I think I should be investing in something, I don’t worry. I have a guy for this. And knowing that has been worth every penny.
