This doctor is a jerk! I called this morning because of an orthopedic emergency and he was the doctor on call. My veterinarian has a better bedside manner than this guy! It’s a shame because I have been going to his associate Dr Christopher Magee, a very good and compassionate doctor for 30 years. ALAM has a terrible putting off attitude!

i’ve been having kneee pain & ankle pain for years. i went to different doctors to have them only give me pain killers or tylenol. i got some good advance from a trainer who told me to seek out a sports/medicine orthopedic cause they would know how to treat an athlete so that my injuries can be dealt with properly. i went to Dr Alam & he was able to breakdown my problems to me then he told me i would need surgery. i was afraid for i make a living with my legs but the surgery went smooth & within a month i was back to a light routine. he has kept me on the move for the last 4 years :-)

Not being a doctor, it’s difficult for me to evaluate Dr. Alam’s ability as an orthopedist. I have no particular reason to doubt that he is very qualified, and in conversation he always seemed very competent. But the general experience at his clinic was quite bad. I always waited for between 30 and 90 minutes from my appointment time before being seen by him, and when he finally did come by the exam room I was waiting in, our interaction never lasted more than 5 minutes. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he seemed disinterested in treating me, but he certainly seemed rushed. The billing was generally confusing, and during one appointment I was charged an additional $ 200 to compensate for errors and omissions in the previous bills. At no point was I given any indication of how much various procedures or equipment would cost me out of pocket, and I had to go out of my way(requesting printouts of itemized bills) to even figure out what I was being charge for.
