just had a 14 seer 3 ton unit installed today, replacing a 30 yr old beast i burned up. went through my homeowners insurance and they gave me a $ 4500 ceiling after my deductible.
had qoutes from Air Advantage, Chavarie, and a third local Long Beach company and they all came in at right around $ 5000. fyi, we have a 1350 sq foot mobile home with 8 vents and forced air.
Long Beach Heating and Air not only came in under my budget but was also the fastest response when it came to getting a on site written estimate — Dave, they had the best customer service (emails and phone calls with Sara), and they managed to schedule me later that same week whete two guys came out this morning (i was home sick so sorry about not remembering their names) where they replaced the old compressor and coils in less than half a day and gave me some solid advice on the filter and cleaning the system goes.
as long as the Bryant a/​c unit they installed works as well as the people that work for this company, then we definitely lucked out and will recommend to all our friends.

Tom and Long Beach Heating & Air are terrific. The word that best describes this business is integrity. When we wanted to replace our outdated heat/​ac system, we received quotes from several different places. Not only was Tom’s quote for our job reasonable, he didn’t try to up-​sell me on a system that I did not need. He carefully went over our property and our goals for the new system, we looked at several possibilities, and when I started to veer toward something on the higher end, he steered me away, saying that the benefit I might derive would not be worth the additional cost. He kept me focused on what our actual needs were, and did not drive me toward something pricier that we did not need. That is integrity, and to my mind, it is as important and valuable as the actual installation. Tom’s crew arrived on time and performed the work well and in a timely manner. He provided us with a quality system, and it works great. We had an issue with our prior system with insufficient air flow to one of our downstairs bedrooms. After the system was installed, Tom came back and had his installers make some adjustments to one of our vents that redirected the flow more forcefully to the back room. Problem solved! He is a stand-​up guy and this is a stand-​up business.

These guys installed an A/​C unit for a friend of mine. Great price and great quality. So I decided to use them as well. They installed a new furnace and A/​C unit as well as all of the ducting. They gave me a great price and 3 different options depending on my budget. They were honest about what they could do and the equipment they were going to use. Installation guys were great. I even had a couple spots that were dirty and they cleaned them for me. Everything was done well and worked perfect. I highly suggest these guys.

Once again they bailed me out with my floor furnace when other companies drop the ball and cannot perform.
They are very prompt, conscientious, and thorough with their work.
I don’t think I will ever go to another company for my heating and air issues… thanks.

LB Heating and Air installed our unit. We have had nothing but problems with the unit and the service for the last five years. I called this time to have the duct work they installed reattached after it came apart. Charge was over $ 300 to reconnect the ducting they did poorly (no ties on the connection according to the tech) the first time. Then they charged an extra $ 85 «diagnostic» fee above and beyond the repair fee. He also charged $ 45 for the large zip tie he used to hold the two pieces together. There was nothing to diagnose, I told them what was wrong and what needed to be repaired. I have never dealt with a company that didn’t waive the service fee when they performed the work. I could understand if I had them come tell me what was wrong and then not have them repair it.
I like to use local companies, but hate being gouged with unrealistic extra fees.
Will NEVER use this company again.

i had arranged an estimate to be done and Tom the owner came out quickly and right on time. Unfortunately, he doesnt do installs on our type of roof due to permit issues however he was pleasant and took the time to review the other estimates i have to tell me what i should be spending and what looked fair. He also lit both our wall heaters (new homeowner and Gas Co wouldnt come until mid January so we have been freezing) which was very much appreciated!

Had LBHAC out here two days in a row. The first was to check out the heating and AC units, which hadn’t been checked in years. The second day was to clean the ducts. Mario was who came the first day, and Kevin and Jorge the second, and they were great. Prompt, professional, great with our dogs (very important), personable and instilled a sense of complete confidence. Extremely pleasant experience. They will be our go-​to heating and AC people from now on.

Great company to work with and excellent work. They installed a complete new a/​c and heat pump system with little mess and inconvenience. They have been swamped with calls due to the extreme heat so it took a little bit of time to get it all done, but once everything was installed, it was wonderful.

This review is on their customer service only as they never did any actual work for us. I contacted LBHAC and the owner Tom scheduled an appointment to come out and give us an estimate. During our initial conversation he mentioned the HERO program as a financing option. My husband and I researched that option and got qualified prior to our initial meeting in an effort to be efficient. When we met with Tom he looked over all the equipment (minus the ducts) and stated he would email us a quote the following day (3 days later we received the quote). We contacted him a few days after to confirm that we wanted to use his services and that we would be using the HERO program as our financing option at which time he informed us that the installation would be a two day process due to the permits/​approvals necessary for that program. We informed him that the other companies that had given us quotes had indicated that we did not have asbestos in our ducts after inspecting them (as LBHAC had indicated in their quote that we did). Tom told us he would need to come back out to confirm this to submit the proper information to the financing company and schedule our install. That took another two days. When he came to inspect our ducts he was in/​out in a few minutes and told me that he didn’t have his appointment book with him so he would call me back by the following day, at the latest, to schedule the installation for the end of the following week. I called his office the following morning (a Thursday) and spoke with one of his employees who informed us that Tom was out of the office and that she couldn’t locate our paperwork. We requested to at least schedule our installation and were told that wasn’t possible until our paperwork had been submitted to the financing company. We then requested a call back to confirm once they’d located our paperwork to ensure everything was in order which we never received. The following Monday, my husband contacted the financing company and was told that LBHAC still hadn’t submitted any paperwork on our behalf. We called LBHAC and were told that they were currently working on our file and that it was going to be submitted to the financing company that same day. The following day, my husband receives an email from Tom stating he’d located our AHRI rating and that he was going to try and locate additional paperwork for our financing. This prompted us to call the finance company and they again informed us that LBHAC hadn’t submitted anything on our behalf. We emailed Tom back and after not receiving a reply within a few hours my husband then called their office and spoke to another employee. She informed him that she wasn’t too familiar with the HERO financing option so my husband took it upon himself to facilitate a three-​way call with the financing company so that LBHAC could be walked through the process.
Today, Tom responds to the email that was sent yesterday in which we had expressed our concern over the service we had been receiving and feeling like we were falling through the cracks. He apologized for the delay and indicated he was learning about the HERO program along with us and then went on to say that one of his employees had left his company the previous week and things have been chaotic and he’s in the process of training her replacement so he hopes to be up and running in a week. He sums up his email by telling us that he is not putting us on the schedule for an installation and that we need to find another HVAC contractor as he too feels we’re not getting off on the right foot and he doesn’t want any hard feelings.
WTH!?!
LBHAC you suggested that financing option to us to begin with and indicated that you’d dealt with them before. We understand that it’s new and you’re still familiarizing yourselves with it BUT in the past few weeks we’ve called the financing company several times and the wait time for customer assistance has been minimal and they’ve been very helpful and informative. The call my husband facilitated should’ve been done days before by LBHAC. Being short-​staffed can cause delays but it is not an excuse for the lack of communication and honesty about your current situation. You wasted two weeks of our time! Furthermore, throughout the email from the owner, he kept writing the word «cracks» in quotations as if mocking us over the concern we’d expressed to him. How completely unprofessional!

Prompt service, honest prices, knowledgeable workers. Stop searching, these guys are solid.

My air was not working and I was able to get someone to quickly come out and explain what was wrong. I needed to get a new system (did my own independent research after they told me the issue and it matched what was online) When I received the quote with 3 different priced options (repair, replace basic and replace premium unit) I called with a number of questions and they answered them all and called me back with some answers they did not know right away. Requested a quick turn around to install new unit as I had guests coming and they came on Saturday with no upcharge

I work for Pabst Kinney, & After using several vendors for my 300+ units I manage, this company was recommended to me by another supervisor here ! I always email them my work orders & Connie is on top of her game ! Their prices are great, service is excellent & the job gets done quickly! I have not had any issues at all, I highly recommend them. I have nothing negative to say! KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK GUYS! its a pleasure working with you.

Air Conditioning went out in my office 2 weeks ago and they came out the next day.
Worked with my landlord and had a new system put in the next week. My only complaint is from my employees saying it’s too cold. They did a great job.

my a/​c motor came in Friday and they installed it on a Saturday — before scheduled date of Monday! AND I didn’t need to be home! I came home from a long day of working at the animal shelter in over 90 degree weather — walked into a very comfortable & cool home. I’m looking forward to sleeping for the 1^st time in a week! Thank You Mark and the office personnel who thought to call me this morning when there was an opening in the schedule! You’re awesome!

We called these guys and a few other companies to get an estimate for an AC install. We played phone tag for several weeks (we weren’t in a hurry) and then got set up for an estimate. The office staff I spoke with were all very nice as was Tom, the owner, who came out for the estimate.
Their price was competitive and they noticed details that other companies missed during the walk through for the estimate. They also didn’t take any money up front until the job was completed to our satisfaction. Tom was very responsive in answering all questions my husband had via email. Install was scheduled for 5 days later.
The install crew were prompt, clean, and friendly. They worked hard and did all they could, but they couldn’t finish the job in one day due to the absence of a needed part for our electrical panel. We were really disappointed because we were hoping for AC that day as it was a 1-​day install. (I’m still not sure why they didn’t figure out they didn’t have the part we needed at the time of the estimate since they looked at the electrical panel that day, but this isn’t my area of expertise.)
When the part came in, they finished the install the next day and we have nice cold air before this weekend’s heat wave! I would use them again.

I’ve never had such a rude/​unprofessional experience with a company in my life.
There seemed to be misunderstandings (confusion of dates, unreceived voice mail, etc.) in regard to our schedules which prevented us from being able to meet for our first meeting to discuss a quote.
Tom, the owner of the company, came to our home today and dialed the call box. The call box is connected to my wife’s phone so I heard her phone ringing in the distance. I quickly put down my newborn so I could run downstairs to let him in since I missed the call. I was literally downstairs in a matter of minutes. When I got downstairs I saw that no one was there, I assumed perhaps I was wrong about someone ringing us in the first place.
15 minutes go by so I called Tom to see if we were still on for our meeting.
Tom picks up his phone and after brief discussion tells me «I guess I’m not the guy for the job» since I missed his call.
I was amazed at how unwilling he was to correct the situation.
Well sir, I guess I am not the customer for you and I am more than happy to find a business in Long Beach that appreciates their potential customers.
If your attitude is any indication of the quality of work and service I was going to receive then I am grateful things worked out the way they did.

Owner is extremely nice and honest. But…
We had out Ac unit replaced a few years ago, but it broke down this summer.
Still under warranty they claimed it had been fixed after changing the coolant.
They sent us a bill, but it was not a coolant issue. It was a coil that needed changing.
This is a manufacturer problem and they consequently fixed it… After a few months.
They insisted we pay for both repairs and parts, despite my protests.
Shame because I did not want to believe the rumors about this company.

Who takes the time to review an experience they had with an air conditioning company… well clearly a few of us I see:)
I work at a local urgent care in Long Beach and we needed one of our vents checked out, it was making a crazy noise. Mario, the service technician was fantastic! Knowledgeable, kind and showed me our problem… a 4×4 piece of styrofoam had lodged itself against the fan. Amazing that it caused such a raucous!
Felt the need to write this review because customer service and knowledge about one’s profession was spot on today.
The fee for one hour service was $ 95, which is their minimum. The diagnostic fee: $ 80 and the new filter a mere $ 5. It seems a wee bit pricey to remove a piece of styrofoam, but I reckon you never know what the end result will be. I also inquired about improving air flow in a couple of the other rooms and what that would require… once again Mario made some solid suggestions and I’m certain that we will consider using them in the future.
