Wow! From the initial phone call with David, to meeting him and the friendly staff, to feeling like I was part of the family where everyone is a mechanic and will take care of you. Not once did I feel stressed about being taken advantage of. It’s always my biggest fear when walking into a repair shop. I was just at the Volkswagon dealership not that long ago mentioning to them to check my car as I felt like it was not quite shifting into gears as quickly as it should when I would accelerate on the freeway. They told me I needed a new transmission for $ 6000. Ugh. I still owe $ 5k. So it pushed me to get a second opinion. I’m so glad I did. David and his knowledgeable staff confirmed to me that there wasn’t anything wrong with the transmission at all. Something to do with air flow and plugs and idle. That’s all. What a relief. So they are working on it right now and here I am happily at work because they provided me a drop off while they attend to my car. Thank you David and your aamco team.

I don’t normally let other people touch my car. I work on it a lot myself, and I’m very weary of being scammed by auto shops looking for a quick buck, and I know quality work when I see it. That being said, this place is one of the top mechanics I’ve ever encountered. All nice guys, top notch work, and hooked up prices. David helped me out in particular, though my vehicle had a trans warrantied by them that expired a week or so back, he still agreed to do the work on it free of charge. So awesome, so helpful. No bs, car in and out in a week. I’d recommend anyone to go here.

Came in for a check up as I had a shake when I went into reverse and an occasional clunk when shifting. They were able to diagnose it quickly as a broken Engine Mount and were able to get it fixed and back on the road quickly. And it was on New Years Eve! Again they went above and beyond. It’s like driving a new car!
I live in Newport Beach but do not mind making the trip here because I know I’ll be taken care if quickly and professionally.

Words cant explain how helpful this place has been too me. David is very professional and made sure not to sugar coat anything with me. He was very upfront with me. Not once did he take me for granted because Im a woman. He saw that I was struggling financially and went out of his way to help me out. I dont have the best credit but David made sure he used all his available resources to help me out. I had my transmission and transfer case replaced. So far my car is running great. David and his staff is the best. He has giving me discounts and a free battery when he didnt have too. I am grateful to David. I would recommend this place to my friends and family in a heartbeat. This place SUCKS! Totally unprofessional. It opens at 8, but the manager didn’t get there till 8:30. I already had the «test engine results» for what was wrong when I get there. I was suppose to get a call by noon for the update, etc. I called 3 different times until I finally talked to the manager at 4:15 only to tell me what I already knew at 8:30am. So, they did no work, gave me the run around and wasted my entire day. Unbelievable!

David and his team did an excellent job and provided excellent customer service. I’ve taken my car with them a few times and I am always satisfied with their quick and reliable service. David is very professional and very helpful when it comes to explaining the diagnostic problems that my car had. I will definitely keep coming here to service my car. A++ for AAMCO in Signal Hill.

David the manager is awesome! My transmission totally died as a result from another car repair that was done two months prior, where they added the wrong fluid. I though my financial situation for the Holidays was going to be a complete bust. But David was able to directly deal with the other place and had them replace my transmission. Not only were his customer service skills exceptional but he went beyond my expectations! I cannot thank David and his entire crew for everything :)

Great customer service from the moment I walked in. They did a direct check on my transmission and broke down what needed to be replaced and down. Not disappointed with the end result and will be returning if needed.

I don’t even know where to begin with this organization. First, they were able to honestly tell me they were experiencing issues with the car that they had never seen, but assured me they would have no issues locating the problem. They got me their discount on a rental car and even were able to drive me home on the day I dropped my car off. After a few short days, they contacted me with incredible news regarding the transmission issues (or so I thought. I was extremely stressed out and was hoping there were no transmission issues because I don’t have that much money sitting around to pay for it). Apparently, there was a computer issue that was causing my problem and after they (David and Jarrett were the incredible representatives that handled my car) did some research, they discovered that the computer was still under warranty. They took the liberty of taking my car to the dealership and had them perform the repair free of charge and as a result, I also pay nothing. So, instead of paying what I imagine to be nearly $ 2000 in payments for a new transmission and labor, I pay

I love this place. I don’t know about anyone else but I get real nervous when something is wrong with my vehicle. Mainly because I don’t have extra money sitting around for repairs.
Aamco walked me through my situation, being totally honest. I like the fact that they didn’t take advantage of me because I’m a woman. I had to leave my car so they took me to work. Very friendly staff.
David, was so personable, and professional. I would recommend this Aamco to all. They got the job done

Its too bad Unilocal has chosen to filter good reviews and send the bad reviews to the front. I am a frequent visitor to this establishment and have always found this shop to be top notch. Friendly service fast and the mechanics really seem to be on top of their game. I am amazed at the haters! I guess you can’t please all the people all the time! Keep going strong AAMCO, YOu are the best in my book!!!

David the manager is very professional and responsive. I have a Nissan SUV I am responsible for broken down there. He has done a great job of keeping me informed what the problem is and what he can do to help me.
If you are in the Long Beach area this Aamco is a fine choice for automotive repair.

Since I can’t give this place 0 stars, 1 will have to do. This place is a SCAM! They may seem awesome, offering discounts and a friendly smile, but what I have experienced is almost unreal.
I went in to get brake service and my rear struts replaced. Although I was told I was getting brand new ceramic brake pads, I received cheap, possibly used brakes that have worn down in about 3 months. I was told both struts were replaced as well, when in fact only one had been.
This AAMCO is using disgusting business tactics to essentially steal money from customers. I will be reporting this place to the Better Business Bureau immediately.

OK I stopped in to aamco to get my transmission serviced I met up with David the sales Rep he was very informitive very friendly bad news was tranny was pretty much done so David made me feel more confident that they knew what the problem was and they hooked me up with the free test on my Lexus is 250 and went ahead and ordered the parts I needed he called me with every step n procedure they were doing so that made me feel even more confident just to know what was going on with my baby I definitely would recommend this aamco to come to they are friendly don’t make you feel uneasy and they weren’t to pricey also David offered me a ride when I dropped off my car not a lot of places do that

I made an appointment online to get my check engine light looked into and I arrived at this location about 5 minutes before my appointment. I was met by one guy at the counter who was dealing with another customer but he finally acknowledged me. I eventually told him I was there for an appointment I had made online and he asked me if I could come back at 2:00 PM. I said, why make an appointment and then have to be asked to come back later. Maybe you should pay more attention to you appointment schedules. I will not be coming back to this location.

I had my car picked by aamco from the body shop to get some work done on the transmission /​diff .
It took a few extra days waiting on parts But i am happy with the work that was done
David went out of his way to make sure I was a satisfied customer.
I will be back for other services.

Great. Place I really recommend this spot david and Rico n team are great. They gave me free diagnostic. .for. my yukon denali needed front deferencional. 1200 with 1year. Warranty… I got financial no interest bfor 3month… ggave 200… there good fast n honest. Yhay satified mmme great custumer service

Not sure who Ted is but sounds like he will be missed. I talked to David who seemed to be the owner. Went in due to my chk eng light was on. Walked out paying $ 2000!!! All these unnecessary repairs of course for the transmission which I had zero problems with. This place is a scam if you go in there without transmission issues. My truck was fixed and within about 36 hrs it died. Would not start at all. Took it to the dealer and showed them what aamco did to it and they just laughed. Your car didn’t need any of this. Well I guess I’ll live and learn the hard way. If your not going in for a transmission issue stay far away from this scam artist!!!
As an addendum aamco did contact me after this review and claimed they will help make it right. We shall see

I have heard great thing about Ted and his crew at AAMCO. I recently had my vehicle worked on by another shop for a drive train problem that they previous fixed or so I thought. I was told it was now a transmission issue. After an inspection Ted told me the problem wasn’t the transmission it was something the previous shop didn’t see. The cost of the inspection was free and I am totally impressed with the professionalism and integrity from Ted and the members at AAMCO.
