I’ve been on the Key since November 2014 and while I knew it was there, it wasn’t until my visiting friend said she’d like a smoothie, so off we went. We ordered 2 smoothies (Berri Bunni and Mango something Bunni) ~ The 20 oz smoothies were delicious — I thought the $ 14.00 price tag for two a bit steep.
What really I found irritating was the service (especially when you pay this price). Upon entering the young man at the register immediately asked us what we wanted. I told him we needed to look at the menu (printed in very small type) on an acrylic picture frame. When I had decided, he immediately asked my friend what she wanted and she asked for just a minute … During this minute he chose to serve another customer and then when he finished, didn’t remember we had another smoothie to order!
I paid for our drinks and went out to the VERY limited parking outfront. My friend reported that he chose to have a conversation with another staff member while he was making the smoothies, but while he was talking, he completely stopped working on making the smoothies.
So for me, I’ll look for another smoothie place on the Key that has good smoothies and great service — something worth $ 7.00 for a 20 oz. smoothie. It will not be my first choice based primarily on the service and value for the price.
