Performance Cycles

Performance Cycles are Heaven Sent. I bought a Honda CBR600 F3 and went thru hell and back with that bike. Like almost every dealership I was promised that the bike was in excellent condition, it failed inspection and was expected to pay for those costs. Its sad how someone can treat a United States Marine Veteran in such a way.
I contacted Performance Cycles and met with an excellent salesman by the name of Dave Thacker. These guys honestly welcomed me home and I knew this was the right place right away. I purchased a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 650 and I am in love. The process was pain free and took only two days.

This is my local dealership and service shop. It is also where I get my bike inspected, where I purchase oil and filters and brake pads and simple things like that. I do not own a brand that they stock (I’ve got an older Honda CBR), but they always treat me well, and the gentleman at the service desk is particularly cool and knowledgeable.
If I find myself in need of a new Triumph or Kawasaki, this would be my place.

Edited this review for the third time but the attention to customer care by Performance Cycles, deserve to be reflected.
I bought my Triumph America at performance cycles where they showed great professionalism and attention to detail and care for a motorcycle newbie buying his first cycle.
We had an unfortunate issue when booking storage for winter, but the way they solved it and the attention to customer care they showed deserves to be reflected in what initially was a very negative review. They went out of their way to solve the issue and offer me a solution.
They turned around the problem and my initial opinion with facts and attention to my needs, something you rarely see nowadays.

Let me start this review by saying that I live in New Jersey. On a trip to Massachusetts my bike, a 2013 Triumph Thruxton, suddenly stopped starting before I could begin my trip home. I had my bike towed to Performance Cycles on the following Tuesday. Derek (Derrick? I’m not sure) was able to diagnose the problem and order the necessary parts by Wednesday. As an addition I also asked him to replace my tires and my oil was also changed. All of the work was completed and my bike was ready for pickup by Friday.
Compared to the Triumph/​Ducati dealerships in NJ (the one I bought my bike from isn’t even in business anymore!) this entire experience, though obviously frustrating, went about as pleasantly and smoothly as possible. The next time I’m in the market for a new bike this is where I will come because I know that Performance Cycles will take care of their customers right!

I just purchased my first real bike from these guys, a 2011 Kawasaki Versys.
My experience was almost entirely with one of the sales guys, Pete.
I drove down from Boston to look at a 2012 leftover model Versys, but we weren’t able to agree on a price (it was already reasonable, I just figured it couldn’t hurt to try). I left the shop and saw a guy unloading another Versys, but just assumed he was having work done to it. A few miles down the road and Pete called me to say they just had a used Versys roll in the door. I doubled back and within 30 minutes was the proud new owner.
They were extremely reasonable on their price, were polite and courteous throughout the whole process — even the failed deal the first time around. They had the bike all ready to go within 24 hours — serviced, inspected, and registered.
I came back the next day to pick it up (Friday of Memorial Day weekend…) needless to say I was held up in traffic. I got there 10 minutes before closing, but when I called ahead worried I would be late they assured me they would wait however long was necessary. On the friday of the first summer holiday weekend.
Pete was fantastic to deal with and they’ve certainly made a lifelong customer out of me. The drive is absolutely worth it, and they will be the only ones to do any work to my bike.

Great Service… No pressure… knowledgeable group… Reasonable pricing. Bought my Triumph Sprint 1050 there in 2011. Have also purchased parts for my Kawasaki Ninja ZX-​9 and Ninja 300.

I hang out in the showroom waiting for service on my 800XC. I talk to Bill when there are no customers around. We talk about everything, and for us, everything is pretty much motorcycles. On one visit, we started chatting about a Harley café project idea that I had, I was just picking his brain. A few weeks later, Bill called me to come in to the showroom. When I did, he had taken in on trade a great 1200S Sport, the perfect starting point for this project. I was blown away that Bill had remembered and called me! The 1200 is now in my garage :)

Bought my new Triumph from Bill at Performance Cycles. I could have bought it from a few places, but Bill treated me right, was very fair, not pushy at all … and apparently is one of the top Triumph salesmen in the US. The entire process was smooth he kept me up-​to-​date throughout the process. I live in Boston but it is well worth the ride out to Shrewsbury.
