Grill of the Dead has the best burgers and wings in town. The Dia de los Muertos is my favorite burger to order. The burger is the perfect spicy and fills you up right. The beer battered onion rings are amazing with the great seasoning and crunch when you bite into it. The people who own and operate honestly care about the quality they produce and have great customer service. I go to them about once every week. Great food and great service everyone should try them.

This is scary-yummy on wheels! It’s the Grill of the Dead! One of the very few food trucks in this area, one of the last standing, much like The Walking Dead, and this truck has that theme down, dead to rights!(Had to do it!) To see the food truck rolling, it looks like a dark vehicle dispatched as a last-minute bio-hazard defense against the impending zombie apocalypse, but the good thing is, they’re only here to cure rumbling tummies and not rambling zombies(for now). The food is dee-lish and different, but the menu, much like the truck itself, is devoted to the whole zombie theme, There’s a Zombie Survival book tethered down but within arms’ reach from the ordering window, a flat screen television on the side of the truck, showing zombie films(my lunchtime matinée was Shaun of the Dead– a fave!) I ordered the Zombie Bite-a bbq sausage sandwich served on Texas toast with smothered onions, jalapenos and melted cheddar cheese for $ 6.75. It is a wonderful sandwich! Next time, I will definitely try The King Lives Burger-an Elvis-inspired hamburger served with fried bananas, peanut butter, bacon and lettuce! It’s $ 8.25. I am also dying(I know, I’ll stop) to try one of their 8 inch homemade candybar cookies made with either bits of Milky Way and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Other burgers of interest for me are the Dia de los Muertos(with spicy jalapeño cheese, cayenne-peppered bacon, lettuce, a hot pickle and spicy mayonnaise!) and the World War B(with smoked Applewood bacon, Bleu Cheese crumbles, lettuce, tomato and pickles!) This awesome food truck makes the rounds here locally and you may be able to catch it at festivals and whatnot. I caught it at the Hot Rod car lot on Youree Drive near the intersections of East Kings Hwy and Shreveport-Barksdale Hwy on a Friday from 11 am to 2pm. It was next door to Taqueria La Michocana. I think it holds a pretty steady residence at that location during that day and time and the address is 2915 Youree Drive! You can also find them on Facebook!
