We have eaten off and on here for years. Our favorites are Fiesta lime chicken and ribs. The FLC itself is great, the rice is the same as always, a little dry. The problem is that historicallly they made the FLC with extra sauce to eat with the rice and tortilla strips and it was great. The Pico was very good. My wife appreciates the full bottles of ketchup that many restaurants have eliminated.

Came to this Applebee’s a couple days ago. It will be the last time I dine here. One of our appetizers was cold. The the queso and chips was disgusting. I don’t understand how you can mess that up but they did. And our server did not check up on us. He was hanging out with his friends 3 booths down from us. Sitting down, socialize, acting a fool having a grand time. That’s why I left him a small tip. They lost my business here.

Horrible service!!! We sat here for at least 2 hours waiting for our food. We saw our waiter maybe 3 times during that time.

As for Applebee’s, this is a better operated one. The waiters are fast, friendly and attentive. The food is decent and the deserts are great. The water taste awful though.

It’s easy to see that the casual café named after a certain tangy, yellow-orange cheese has some respectable competition. Applebee’s now seems to have the ubiquitous«casual café» in its crosshairs. We went for a family dinner in Shreveport on a Saturday night in mid-January. My wife & I went for the«2 for $ 20» deal — 2 entrees & an appetizer — while our son ordered the Quesadilla Burger. Oma wanted something light — such as salad or soup — but they apparently had very little to offer along those lines. We were astonished at the lack of soup choices — French Onion all the time & one soup du jour. She ended up with a small dinner salad & crackers. For her entrée, Ingrid ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad, while I had the 7-Oz Sirloin, rare. Our appetizer was Spinach-Artichoke Dip w/salsa & tortilla chips, which came also with some salsa & there were plenty of chips for us to share around the table. Service was uninspired — not bad, but barely friendly — and our waitress missed obvious opportunities to serve us competently. We were there Saturday evening, about 7:00, and it was fairly busy, so, hopefully, this was the reason for marginal service. Price was fantastic for my party of four. Our food was good, and my steak was almost as good as what I call the«best $ 10 steak in the business»(at the aforementioned place named after my favorite cheese) — its only problem being excessive toughness. Judged strictly on flavor & correctness of preparation, my Applebee’s steak was perfectly delicious. I may order it again sometime — as long as my teeth hold up.

Awful and slow service every time, but the food is great. Don’t plan on arriving 2 hours before a movie starts and expect to get to the movie on time.(Tinseltown Movie Theater is really close)
