History

Established in 2004.

Linda Strand, Registered Nurse, founded Lice Be Gone after working as a sleep away camp nurse. After removing head lice from hundreds of campers, she saw a need for a head lice removal service company and she founded Lice Be Gone. Originally she performed treatments in homes but realized that families preferred coming to a center which offers more flexibility in a family’s schedule and more technicians that can work together with a family at one time. Lice Be Gone’s treatment center offers flexible appointment times.

Business Owner

Linda Strand, Registered Nurse, is the founder and owner of Lice Be Gone. Linda has more than 25 years of nursing experience. Prior to founding Lice Be Gone she worked at several hospitals including Mt. Sinai Hospital and New York Hospital, New York City and University Medical Center at Princeton, Princeton New Jersey. As a nurse, Linda worked at several children’s summer camps. As a sleep away camp nurse she learned how to successfully manage and treat head lice. Her treatment philosophy is to remove «each and every louse and nit in order to be considered lice free without the use of gimmicks such as chemicals or heat treatments.» The end result is that each person treated at Lice Be Gone leaves her treatment center completely nit and lice free.

She is proud of the thousands of successful treatments that she and her team of head lice technicians have rendered.

Linda is married, the mother of three adult children and her beloved Maltese, Sammy.
