I don’t think we could have found a more professional, organized, and thoughtful dog walker than August at One Dog At A Time. He is so caring towards our two minpins and he’s always on time.
More than just another dog-​lover, August is highly educated in canine science. He understands dog behavior and that makes me feel comfortable when he is out with our fur-​babies.
August was recommended by a friend who is also a dog trainer and I’m so thankful that she recommended his business. If you’re looking for a dog walker, I highly recommend One Dog At A Time.

I had my friend cancel on me last minute (so annoying) and thanks to August coming to my rescue, everything worked out great!
I have had August walk my dog on and off when other people flake out on me and he is honest, reliable, tries his best to fit me in last minute, has a real understanding of dogs, so you won’t need to write 10 pages of notes, and most of all Brooks loves him!

If I could give One Dog At A Time 6 stars I would! This review is long and long overdue. August has been walking my 1 yearish old rescue pups Scuba Steve and Ella, 3 times a week since October 2012. August is professional, extremely conscientious and best of all loves dogs (be they naughty or nice!) To say that my rescue pups are a handful is an understatement. August took control right from the start using his experience and gentle manner. My dogs are complete opposites… one is a very sweet, lovable, «all things shy» (especially towards people) little girl and the other is a goofy, lovable, leash reactive Tarzan! August uses a mix of lovin’, yummy treats, skills and boundaries to get these two on leashes and walking with manners.
With all of his shelter work experience, he has compiled a wealth of knowledge concerning rescue pups. He is open to all questions and gives great suggestions on ways to make my pups lives more stable, fun and well rounded! August is always continuing to add to his knowledge with research, classroom education and daily doggie life lessons. I feel confident that he could handle any situation involving my pups. After each walking session, August leaves a journal entry. I call it the «Dog Log» and it is such a fun thing to look forward to when I get home from work on «walk days». We call it the puppy’s report card. The communication left after each walk, gives me insight as to what they worked on, how they handled the walk and what they need help with. It is also fun that his writing style is creative!
One Dog At A Time provides me and my pups with awesome service at an exceptional value. Walking with training involved is unique and full service! I love that August has taken my «reactive rover» and «shy princess» as more than just a dog walk job. They are his projects with goals and expectations. I know that One Dog At A Time has many satisfied clients, but the attention that he gives to Steve and Ella makes it feel as though they are special members of his extended family.
