Pro Mobile DJ

This review is long overdue. We got busy after our wedding and apologize. We had Gary and Hazel DJ our wedding and we loved them! They were fantastic. They are both so friendly and personable. Not only did they DJ, but they also helped out with the organization and emcee’d for us. Their song selections were great. They read the crowd perfectly. We can’t say enough great things about their services and would recommend them without reservation. We had numerous guests at our wedding who told us they were the best DJs they had ever heard. Thank you Gary and Hazel for helping to make our wedding day so perfect and memorable.

Gary and his wife were the DJs for my wedding this past weekend in Tahoe. I had contacted a number of DJs as I was planning the wedding and found Gary to be the most responsive and thorough in his responses. Some of the people I contacted wrote back with short one line answers (or never wrote back at all) but Gary was very detailed and explained things well. He was also very quick to respond, which helped immensely in the planning process. His rates were very reasonable and he worked with us on the type of music we wanted at our wedding.
We hired Gary to not only handle the dinner and dancing music but to also handle the ceremony and it went off without a hitch (and we saved a lot of $$ not having to hire someone to separately handle the ceremony).
We had provided a long list of songs and types of music we liked and Gary played them. When it came time for dancing, Gary played some of the songs we provided but also mixed in some popular songs we hadn’t thought of. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Gary played the last song and then there was another song after it and no one wanted to leave the dance floor. That’s a great sign!
His wife was very sweet and helpful and it really helped having 2 people to handle the music and the announcements. For example, when the wedding party was lined up to come out for the reception, his wife was organizing us and announcing us and Gary was handling the music.
I would highly recommend Gary as a DJ for any event you have, especially a wedding.

I was at Amanda W. s wedding where this man Gary was the DJ. While I can’t vouch for any of the «pre game» issues I can say that as a guest I was disappointed in his ability to read the crowd and his demeanor. There were several times that his poor song choices completely cleared the dance floor, which is bound to happen at any event. However, instead of recognizing the song didn’t go over well and transitioning into a new song this DJ preferred to let the song play out which created a void in ambiance. When requesting a song we were told that he couldn’t accommodate us because the party was winding down, which it very clearly was not. And although Gary did play the song his lack of enthusiasm and his clear desire to leave was off putting.
Although I was disappointed in Gary’s abilities what is even more disappointing are his immature antics here on Unilocal.John G was not a guest at the reception and is very clearly a friend of Gary’s if not Gary himself, trying to discredit Amanda W. His accusations of out of control partying and unattended children are false and a desperate attempt to cover his shortcomings. While I’m sure that Gary has DJ’d successful events his childish behavior on Unilocal demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Amanda was frustrated with.
As a guest of the wedding I would have rated Gary at 3 stars, not the best DJ I’ve experienced but did not ruin the event. But his shady attempt to have a friend lie for him is not only immature and unprofessional it defeats the purpose of Unilocal and he gets 1 star for that.

We had Gary this past weekend for my birthday and he was wonderful. Gary did an amazing job and was extremely professional. He really helped to manage the night. He showed up very early to allow enough time to set up. While he was there he was professional and courteous. It was an 80’s party and he even dressed up for the party. We had a large playlist and he did an amazing job of incorporating all the songs we had requested. If you need a great DJ for the El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Sacramento area I cannot think of a better choice.

Gary and his wife were the DJ’s at our wedding. They were very professional, oraganized, and efficient. I really appreciated how they really moved the wedding along at such a great pace. I would highly recomend them for your wedding or private event. They were so good that guests at our wedding complimented them and one of them is actually going to use them for their wedding.

Gary did an AMAZING job at my wedding. Planning a wedding is time consuming and emotionally draining… but Gary alleviated all the stress surrounding any and all DJ issues.
Gary and his wife were GREAT!!! They were prompt, got back to me in a timely manner on all communications prior to the wedding, and on the wedding day ROCKED it out!!! Great music, nice setup/​equipment, played all the music we requested and MC’ed (sp) the entire reception :)
Professional, reliable and extremely reasonable in terms of prices…
If you are looking for a DJ in the SAC area– especially for a wedding– I would give Gary a call.
