I brought my car in for a spark plug and coil change — my car was shaking pretty bad. The owner Debbie was very friendly, courteous and made me feel at ease dealing with something I am not too familiar with. The technician not only was very informative but also helped me understand what he was working on, why my car was experiencing issues and also showed me the parts he changed (pretty bad). While I was waiting for my car I saw many repeated customers come in for service and I saw a very high level of engagement from the staff and I got the «been here for ages /​we are all family» feeling. I don’t leave near by, I travel for work and I experienced some issues while visiting the area. I was referred here, I WOULD COME BACK HERE — very happy

Finding a good mechanic, one that you can trust, is hard to find. I can honestly say that I have found one better than the folks at Cameron Park Automotive. I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else.

Ken and Deb — along with Heidi and the staff have been taking care of my family of cars for quite some time. Luke, Tom, Carl and all of the mechanics are very forthcoming with information.
If you do not have time to regularly maintain your vehicle — this is the place. They will be very upfront. Deb and her staff pull no punches. If you have not been taking care of your car… this will be less than fun — ask my son! LOL. I like the honesty and they are willing to put things in writing.
If I have any issues, I talk with them — we discuss options. It is a very customer oriented business.

We recently wanted to sell our 1998 Subaru, and Deb made it easy! We brought it in to her, she took photos and put it on Craigslist, without charging us anything. She made sure that anyone interested called them and came by so that we wouldn’t have strangers calling our house or coming over and didn’t have to inconvenience ourselves trying to meet anyone that called. It was such an easy experience and it was sold within 2 weeks.

Took my Acura for needed maintenance (to keep the warranty valid). JR, service manager really took care of business!!! In and out in no time, for a price MUCH cheaper than the dealership. Really down to earth, family business. I WILL be taking my vehicles to Cameron Park Automotive for ALL maintenance/​repairs.

It’s amazing when you find an automotive shop you can trust! After taking my car to Aamco for a few years and finally getting tired of their repeated fixes and overpriced quotes, I found Cameron Park Automotive and am so happy I did. Debbie is very professional and runs a very tight ship! They even offer a car rental for a very decent price, which comes in handy if you need to leave your car for a day or two. So, if you’re looking for someone you can trust, this is the place for you!

My family has been coming here for years. My folks always had nothing but good things to say about this place. I was a drop in and they already had a full schedule. I had to wait for just a little bit in the waiting room. Debbie was amazing. She kept me company the whole time. We shared stories. She told me things about when my Mom would bring in a truck and Dad would pick it up and silly stupid things they forgot about and so on. I felt like family. I was TREATED like family! Good family not like the crazy ones! I live and work in Sacramento but I always bring my Ford up here for some special l loving! I wouldn’t trust my truck with anyone else. I’ve had several vehicles serviced and maintained by Deb, Ken and the staff at Cameron Park Automotive. Today, I took my Mercury Villager minivan in because the brake light came on yesterday. It’s got almost 210K miles, and we don’t drive it a ton — it’s a vehicle for my son, who is away at college, and my younger son, who just turned 16 and will start driving on a permit next week. … Anyway, Deb called me this afternoon and said the brakes were fine, there were some typical fluid leaks for a car with 200K-​plus miles, the CV boot was torn (but she wouldn’t recommend fixing it until it needs an axle) and they topped off some fluids, including brake fluid, and everything is good to go … How much, I asked? … I’m not going to charge you anything, she said. We’ll charge you when we actually do something. … Wow — very impressive. Thanks, Deb, Ken and the entire CP Auto crew. I’ve been a loyal customer, and I’m certainly sticking around. Much appreciated, and highly recommended.

I took my «new» pickup in for smog and oil change yesterday. CP Auto knew of a common issue with my model pickup so they tested it for free before starting the full smog test, then realized I needed my smog check by a special facility down the road. I took my pickup there, got it tested, then came back to CP Auto for the oil change. They only charged me for the oil change but also let me know of a few minor issues I should address.
I had to warranty a battery earlier this year and while other shops wanted to charge me all kinds of extra fees for a manufacturer’s guaranteed free warranty exchange, CP Auto upheld the manufacturer warranty and processed the exchange quickly and for free.
I originally came here because it is where my company gets all their vehicles maintained and I can see why — they do good work, fairly, and at a reasonable price. They have definitely found a new loyal customer.

Professional service not your typical diagnosis and replace auto repair shop. Debi and her staff had the solutions to repair my heating system control panel that you would not find at the auto dealers. Repair and maintenance solutions are presented in a way that the customer understands the consequences and costs. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for professional auto repair.

This place was great. Geoff was really helpful and got everything done quickly and I’m happy with the service. My car was shaking a lot due to my alignment and bad tires. Standard price for the alignment. But got 4 new tires for the price of 3. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. Thanks again!

I have been going there for years and they have never given me less than great service.

Had some maintenance done on my truck as well as smog. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good local shop.

I thought I would try a local shop when my car broke down. Having just moved here from a town a little smaller then Cameron Park, I had no idea things could go so wrong!
This shop charged me $ 103. to diagnose my car problem. They don’t tell you that. And if you have it repaired there, you are still charged that fee. It took them 1.5 days to call me and tell me it was going to cost $ 800. for the repairs. I told them I could not afford that so I would not be having them repair my car. I decided to tow my car to my regular shop 40 miles away. When the tow truck and I arrived 2 days later to pick up my car, the engine was torn apart, engine bolts removed, spark plugs all disconnected as well as other things. All to diagnose a timing belt that slipped? I am just sick. And I had to pay $ 103. for that! Why wasn’t my engine put back together 2 days earlier when I said I wouldn’t be having the repairs done there? And there were more engine parts in a box in the back seat! After further investigation I have found the owner is known in the business for not being very nice. I can’t use the word several folks in the business used to describe her. So sorry I didn’t do my research first!

I drive a ’95 Honda Del Sol, and the entire spark system went down (traditionally a trouble spot for the model).
Took the car in on Wednesday. They had evaluated/​diagnosed the problem and had called me by Thursday afternoon (just over 24 hours after dropoff). Their estimate for the work was by far the best in the area (parts/​labor came out to $ 500.00ish…a full $ 250 cheaper than the next bid). Car is running fine now, no problem.
Best bang for the buck. Decent, honest establishment.
