China Star Chinese Buffet

Food was substandard, with the exception of the coconut shrimp. The crawfish and the fish next to it was so salty that it was completely inedible, and if I wasn’t on spironolactone I would probably have died of hypernatremia taking a bite. The chocolate mocha mousse was somewhat tasteless, the ribs were inedibly dense, the nuggets were made of sawdust and fear, the onion rings were practically fried dough sprayed with onion flavour and the other Western concoctions left me with an indescribable horror in my mouth.
Most damningly, however, the server lied to me at the time of ordering, saying that the drink was included when it actually cost about two dollars extra – enough to warrant getting rid of the points I would have given for the relatively attentive service.
There’s also the awful, constant loop of vaguely Chinese music whistling through the background at ALL TIMES. You get used to it like people get used to cystic fibrosis, but that doesn’t make it any less of an irritant.

Ignore the bad reviews. It is not hot AT ALL in the restaurant, and the people there, while a few have the distinct Asian accent, are very nice and willing to help. The wantons there are absolutely delicious, and the chicken on the skewer is also delicious, as well as the egg rolls. My only complaint would be that they have cocktail shrimp and the cocktail sauce is far away from them and the shrimp have not been de-​vained. I know that sounds really picky and bratty of me, but I am very particular about my shrimp. Great visit, very affordable for a buffet, good Asian food, and great service all mean that I will most definitely be returning next time I visit my cousins.
P. S. Ignore the outside of the building. I know it looks a little iffy but the inside is nice, clean, and decorated tastefully.

I believe I came in starving! It is buffet style here with plenty of choices. The food was hot and plenty of it. I and the company I was with enjoyed the food so much we dived in for seconds. We saved room for dessert where they had a variety of chooses including ice cream plus toppings. You could tell our waitress was very family oriented and loved socializing with the kids. She was great.

This place was absolutely disgusting. Upon walking in it felt like a sauna… steamy and hot (due to ventilation at steam table) our waitress was very nice but the food was awful. If you plan on visiting here I suggest you look at everything You plan on eating… the salt and pepper shakers were rusted. the soy sauce had dried up sauce around the hole it comes out of… oh and definitely take your own seasoning… you won’t be experiencing any type of taste. After seeing the owner scratch her ass behind the booth and then going to flip the food at the steam tables we decided we were done. After sharing what we experienced the owner gave us a hard time because we didn’t like the food. Huge thumbs down for this place… hoping I don’t get sick.

Oh my, the place was clean & staff friendly and efficient BUT the food on the buffet was cold. Won’t be eating there again!

Absolutely yummy! I got the sesame chicken with noodles and my boyfriend devoured shrimp, green beans, noodles, rice, chicken skewer, and more shrimp! He said the shrimp was really good and I was pleased with my plate… okay PLATES of food! The service was quick and the sweet tea was slap your mama good! We loved it and the after church lunch buffet was $ 8.99!

This is by far the best Chinese buffet in the area. The owners are very kind people and work hard to make sure the restaurant is run well. Is an excellent value for what you get as well. If you’re in the mood for Chinese I would recommend coming here.

Absolutely the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Meat was rubbery and the flavored were just not good. Only think that tasted decent were the green beans and soft serve ice cream. Don’t waste your time. I could go on and on about how each thing I ate was gross, but I’ll just sum it up — yuck!

By far one of the best Chinese buffets known to man.
