Slava is the best! He truly knows his stuff, he’s honest, thorough, fast, competent and very polite. He has brought back two of our appliances from death: one Miele dishwasher and one LG washer. While I hope I won’t see him any time soon, he is who I will call next time I need an appliance repair. Excellent service!!!

If I could rate Slava and VA Appliance with a million stars I would. Slava was VERY knowledgeable about my Whirlpool washing machine and quickly diagnosed the problem. The part which needed to be replaced was out of stock but Slava was able to find the part and have it over nighted in 1 day. The repair was smooth and neat and I will gladly use Slava in the future and recommend him to my friends and family.

Slava is a synonym for professional/​knowledgeable/​pleasant/​prompt/​reasonable. I am a long-​distance landlord, and hired him based on a referral from a friend of mine. He coordinated with my tenants to find a time convenient for them, arrived on time, and was quick to identify the issues at hand. Gave me a discount bc I opted to do the two services required, at the same time. Mailed me receipts for my records. He is TREMENDOUS and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

We called Slava about our dead Samsung dryer and he showed up later that day. He took the unit apart in a neat and efficient manner and quickly diagnosed a blown thermal fuse. He later discovered this was a result of overheating caused by a clogged vent hose – Pacific Sales installed the unit originally and used a really cheap and flimsy hose. Slava was able to procure the replacement part the next day, finish the repair, upgrade the hose and even vacuumed the inside of the unit. At all times, he was courteous, informative and took great care not to do damage or lose parts. Now our dryer is better than new! We highly recommend Slava. He is a true professional.

My family recently moved to Van Nuys and as soon as we moved in our Dryer wasn’t working. I went on Unilocal to find a repairman who could help us out fairly quickly so we could take care of our laundry as soon as possible. I went on Unilocal and saw that Slava had a 5 star rating (very well deserved, by the way), I called him and he was able to come out the same day at a time that was convenient for me and wife.
Once there, he detected the cause of the trouble and fixed it right away for a very reasonable fee. He explained everything he was doing in a manner that I and my wife could understand before doing any work.
Overall, I can’t say enough good things about him. He does great work, and best of all I trust him which I can’t say of all repairman.
Do yourself a favor, if you live in the Valley and need an appliance repaired, look no further; Slava is the only person to consider.

I do not often write Unilocal reviews but since Slava went out of his way so brilliantly to take care of my appliance (s) repair, I am going out of my way to recommend him.
In fact, I could not recommend him more highly indeed!
After running my dishwasher about six different times and not seeing anything wrong with it, except that the dishes would still be dirty at the end of the cycle, I resolved to use Unilocal for the first time to find an appliance repair professional in my area.
I called a couple, left messages, and within minutes Slava called me back. He was very kind, took all his time on the phone with me, made an appointment to show up promptly within a few hours, and he was even a few minutes early, which was great!
Once he arrived he tested my dishwasher and everything seemed to be running properly, but, since my sink had clogged up the night before, he referred me to one of his colleagues (plumber) to be able to take care of the sink first.
Slave personally called the plumber, and made sure that my sink would be taking care of in the next hour or so… So that then he could come back to my house and retest the dishwasher to be sure.
He was about to leave and not charge me for that diagnostic visit, and said he’s simply come back later to complete the diagnostic; I remembered that my washer/​dryer unit had been making a funny noise, so right before Slava left, he gave me an estimate for the part that needed repair.
While the plumber came over and took care of the sink, (extremely professional referral, thanks!), Slava was handling ordering the parts for my washer/​dryer unit. He then came back a couple of hours later, ran the dishwasher, adjusted one minor thing and everything was working beautifully. Since he said there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher, he did not charge me anything for the check up/​service!
He simply charged me a minimal fee to repair the washer/​dryer piece that was broken, and my only regret was that I didn’t have any additional broken things for him to repair :)
Slava was extremely professional, courteous, and took all his time to explain to me what the issues were, how he was going to fix them, and made sure that I fully understood before moving forward with the repair.
As he was leaving, I asked him how long he has been in business, and he said just since the Jan 2013, which struck me as unusual because he seemed so skilled and experienced, and then he explained that he had been in the appliance-​repair/​servicing business for over 15 years, but just started his solo venture.
Truly I could not recommend him enough and I can see that, with his skills, professionalism, and brilliant attitude, not only will his clients be in great hands, but his business will grow exponentially, I am certain.
His referral to the plumber was a great extra added bonus, and a great example of his work ethics and how Slava goes above and beyond for his clients!!!
Like I said, I could not recommend a more highly and I know when the next appliance goes wonky ~ Definitely give him a call and you’ll see what I mean :)

Before I even committed to using Slava, he advised me about our refrigerator/​freezer problem and called back to see how it was doing. Other places I called said to call the manufacturer and did not respond to my questions at all. When we decided to go ahead and get the problem fixed, he gave us a temporary solution for while we were away. (It worked!) Slava came over on the day and time WE requested. He dealt with our refrigerator not being situated in a easily accessible place, took the door off to get at it, found the problem and fixed it. He also pointed out other things that would make the refrigerator run more efficiently, showing me exactly what he was doing and why it wasn’t working as he was doing it. He really went beyond what was expected of him. The refrigerator and the freezer are working BEAUTIFULLY now. Hooray! (We had even considered buying a new one.) The cost was very reasonable. I recommend him wholeheartedly. Thank you, Slava.

Came out on day 1 and diagnosed the issue with my Bosch dishwasher; not too hard since he’s seen this many times before. (Experience is beneficial.)
Returned day 2 with the part and installed it.
Very satisfied with his work. Pricing much more reasonable that if I had used the Bosch appliance service. (choke!) Timely and he kept in touch via text so I knew when he was coming. If I ever have another applicance issue I will call again.

I contacted Slava after my dishwasher control panel melted down. He came the next morning to diagnose the issue, told me that it was under recall and walked me through setting up an appointment for the manufacturer to repair it for free. Reliable, knowledgable, and professional — he called a few days later to make sure that the repair had been taken care of. I’m very glad to know who to call when the next appliance inevitably goes!

If you have any issue with an appliance, Slava, of VA Appliance, should be your first call. He is very skilled, pleasant and always on time. I have called him for several jobs and he always makes proper and affordable repairs. I would not hesitate to recommend him with 5-​stars for his great service.

Slava has been to my house at least 10 times! Whether its because my son fell on the dishwasher while door was open or something is wrong with the fridge and dryer, he’s always been a phone call away. I’ve had some creepy repair men come and visit me before so its nice when a normal person is let into the home for something as necessary as this. Slava of VA Appliance is a true professional! He is quick to diagnose the problem and has very reasonable pricing. Slava is also very conscientious about cleaning up after all repairs. He responds to calls quickly, and comes out as soon as possible. We feel spoiled having Slava to take care of all our appliance repairs. I recommend him to all my friends and family!

Slava at VA Appliance has fixed a number our home appliances over the last few years. I found him after several others had not been able to fix our stand alone ice maker. He seems to understand everything about appliances. He is responsive, prompt and explains the problem. I highly recommend him.
