1.5 hr validated parking in lot behind the shop. Fast, friendly service. Reliably good food. Covered outdoor patio with 4 tables as well as indoor seating. And next to Starbucks.

This morning at 6:50 a.m. I walked over to Subway after a workout to grab a meal to pack for my daughter’s lunch. The door was open and Juan C. was bringing out the tables and chairs. I said Oh, you are not open yet?” and he replied with a very harsh«NO.» Okay — So, I walk over to Starbucks and wait. Walk back over at 7 a.m. when they are supposed to open and the door is locked, so I stand there and wait. I’m waiting and waiting and waiting some more and see Juan C. just staring at me from the kitchen area. Eventually he starts walking towards me and I think oh great, he’s going to open the door for me. NOPE. He fig-its with machines, turns things on and off, etc. Finally he walks over to the door, which I am standing right in front of and unlocks it. Do you think he opened the door for me. NOPE. So I open the door for myself and he disappears without a word. Now, I am standing and waiting some more. He comes out from the kitchen and looks at me. Just stares. No welcome to Subway, no what can I get for you, NOWORDS. The rest of the process was just as painful and I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there. Sorry it’s a cold Tuesday a.m. Juan C. and you have to work(like the rest of us), but that’s not a paying customers fault.

Teen here with my mother. she desperately wanted to wash her hands before eating and was not allowed to use the restroom. even though California law states that every restaurant must have restroom facilities for customers. She was told to go to the neighboring starbucks

So I have been going to this subway for over 15 years, my house is walking distance from them, there is also a starbucks next door to it with a parking in the rear. One day I parked the car there to study at starbux when I come back to see a worker of subway has parked perpendicular to my car and blocked my entrance. I find out that the subway management had ordered him to block me and refused to leave(in fact threatened to tow my car!) unless I purchased something from their store. After I did this they still would not move their car and only after much harassment did they finally move their car. This is a joke of a business and I would highly advise all parties to STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE.

This is BYFAR the best Subway in the area. They’re friendly and curtious and the staff remembers you even after only one or two visits. That goes a long way for me. Subways food always tastes the same no matter which you go to but I drive an extra mile to go to this one instead of Studio city for these reasons. I’ve met the owner here and he’s a nice guy as well, he owns a few of these Subways in the area but you can tell he cares about his customers. Basically in short i’m a BIG fan of this store in particular and recomend it above all others in the area.

tiny, tiny, tiny subway store with cramped seating two doors down from the corner starbucks with spacious patio seating. the sandwich maker and the cashier were both efficient and nice. when i walked in a subway girl was sweeping a 1′ x 3′ patch in the middle of the floor under a table and chairs and eventually onto my shoes depite my efforts to avoid her. even after waiting for the coupon-fiend natasha in front of me to order for her two sputniks then getting my own sandwich prepared then waiting while natasha at the register haggled again over said coupon, on my way out the door that subway girl was still sweeping that same 1′ x 3′ patch after a trip to the back for a dustpan. some chick at a table tried to pay her in-hand for a bag of chips. customers, please: — don’t negotiate the terms of the coupon. — you and your kids take as long as you need to make up your minds — outside the line. the precious time you and your little darlings burn up with the«what do they have /what do you want» game counts against parking meters and lunch hours of those behind you who know exactly what they want and are quite ready to utilize the services of a sandwich artist like pronto. let’s go. — when using a coupon, know the coupon. make sure what you’re buying matches the coupon’s terms. if it offers two sandwiches and a drink and you have two sandwiches and two drinks, don’t force the cashier do an audit of the order to prove why the total is more than you expected. — don’t let your kid take a cup from the stack and run to the other side of the store with it, then put it back on the stack to become part of another customer’s meal after he decides he doesn’t want it. — redeem just the coupon, not the entire fold-out mailer you brought, forcing the cashier to clip it out for you. — the announcement of the total due is your cue to pay, not to begin your dig through your purse to find your wallet and ferret out your instrument of payment. your coupon said nothing about a «free meal.» — take your order and tray and move away from the register upon completion of your transaction and organize your wallet during your lunch, not mine. and stand somewhere else besides the front door. outside on my way back to the car a meeting of the mensa society was taking place around the corner as some dillweed waited behind a parked driver on his cell phone for his spot but blocked the alley entrance that a woman in a huge suv was trying to make a k-turn into and so herself blocked vehicles coming from both directions of the side street. there is a small cyclone-fenced lot in back, one of the more unwelcoming set-ups i’ve seen since the airport or court building. i want to give a shout-out to the chick in the rainbow-striped tights under a black ruffled micro skirt anchored with polished black lace-up work boots walking up the steps to starbucks. that was outstanding. anyway the $ 2 meatball marinara was pretty good. lightly toasted, just enough to melt the provalone.

I bring my son to this Subway every now and again if I don’t feel like packing his lunch or if I’m grabbing him something quick and easy for dinner. The service is fine and sometimes I want to have a bite of his sandwich and they are really nice about putting the veggies I want on two inches of the foot long and cutting that little portion off and wrapping it up separately for me. The bread, meats and veggies are always fresh. I’m not big on sandwiches but my son likes the place so it’s A OK in my book. There is metered street parking on Ventura and side streets or a private lot in the back.

Friendly employees. However: I had mayonnaise there about 6 months ago that was going bad — didn’t eat the whole sandwich. I returned for the first time last week when I thought I’d give it another try and had 3 sandwiches in a row that were fine. Then yesterday I was served another sandwich that was a little off — tasted funny and later didn’t agree with me. The employees are probably told to sell everything. Don’t know who owns the store but I presume its franchised. The owner should check to be sure the condiments and meats are really fresh and that the refrigeration is set at a proper temperature.
