I was there yesterday for my eye surgery consultation I want to check this place because it’s really close to my house and I see a lot of good reviews on Unilocal and doctor Lee was really nice and give me all the info that I needed and all answers for everything ask I still didn’t decide if I will go ahead and do the surgery with them but I’m definitely considering that.

I’ve been wearing Ortho-​K for approximately 10 years. Finally, I got my surgery done yesterday, and it was great.
Dr. Lee and his team took really good care of me. I was new to Lasik and all the staff were so kind and patient to answer all my questions. Since I was Ortho-​K patient, the doctor didn’t want to rush through my surgery, instead, I was told to wait and make sure my vision was stable before the surgery to get the best result. They followed up up to three times with me before I actually did my surgery.
My cornea was thick enough for either bladed or bladeless Lasik. I ended up choosing the bladeless one since it was more precise and less pressure (less pain).
I was very nervous for the surgery. They provided me a pill to relieve my stress, and a teddy bear to hold on during the surgery. I like how doctor Lee explained and talked to me during the procedure, so that I knew everything went well. Even it was just simple sentences like «You did a good job» or «It was great», they really made me relieve during the surgery. Or I might keep wondering how did it go during the procedure and felt even nervous.
After the surgery, it was slightly blurry. However, I didn’t know why I felt confident to drive back by myself. The staff told me I might experience discomfort and light sensitivity afterward, and they were so sweet to get a ride with Über for me and had me parked there overnight.
I did feel slightly discomfort the first few hours. But if I closed my eyes, it was totally fine. The feeling was like if you walked outside in the winter, sometimes the wind made your eyes uncomfortable but it was still tolerable. I made myself closed my eyes for the first 4 – 6 hours, and applied cool compress to relieve the discomfort.
After that, I felt I totally recovered from the surgery. I felt no pain, no dry eyes, and no light sensitivity at all. I didn’t use any of numbing medication or artificial tears. It was amazing because before I thought I might feel itch or something and I might have to deal with it to not rub my eyes.
The next day, I was told to have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision on both eyes on the follow up examination. I really appreciate the team: Nikki, Ben, Jay, Daisy, Candy, and other staff (sorry I couldn’t remember everybody’s name), and of course Dr. Lee. I’m glad that the surgery went so well for me and now I don’t even feel I had my surgery yesterday because there is no discomfort in my eyes at all. I just hope I can keep this vision until I’m 40. ^^

Go for it! (Since you’re reading Unilocal reviews to make the decision, I’ll be one more to tell you… this is the BEST place to go for LASIK and the surgery itself will be truly life changing for the better)
I’m reviewing this location since this is where I got my surgery done. I highly recommend this location as it is laid out to be very comfortable for yourself as well as those coming with you for support. (During surgery at this location there is a seating area in the surgery room with a viewing glass for those that come with you to sit in vs. at the LA office there is not) Regardless, you still get the same professional, friendly, awesome service at both locations!
If I could copy and paste Susan K.‘s review I would. (Her review is in this location as well) Its spot on as to what I experienced myself, with lots of great tips.
Really, you have nothing to fear! The first consultation is free, so really what does it hurt to go see for yourself what a great professional staff this is! They will put you at ease, answer all of your questions and concerns… and finally let you know if you are a candidate for the procedure. I myself in the first consultation found out my left eye was too dry and had to give my eyes some rest (from contacts) for a whole week before my second consultation to find out if I could go through with the procedure. So to say the least, Dr. Lee will genuinely look after your best intrest and will do an excellent job at perfecting your vision.

Today marks 2 weeks since I had my surgery. Why didn’t I do this sooner?!
I’ve been wearing contacts almost every single day since I was 14 (started with them — glasses for back-​up only). With each passing year, I’ve had to get more and more advanced in the type of lenses I wore because I developed an uncomfortable dry-​eyes situation. The past three years, I’ve spent an average of $ 1000/​year on co-​pays, the newest daily disposable soft lenses on the market, and glasses. It would make my wallet ache every single quarter I would go order another two boxes of contacts.
I visited Dr. Lee’s Los Angeles clinic for my consultation and had my surgery at this Sherman Oaks location. I can’t say enough about how professional and friendly everyone is. The complimentary consultation is similar to your typical exam at your optometrist but they also take your eye pressure and a 3-​D image of your eyes as part of assessing your eligibility for the LASIK procedure. It took about an hour to get it all done, get a presentation about your LASIK procedure choices, risks, etc.
My initial plan was to get consultations from a couple of doctors/​LASIK centers but I was made to feel so at ease (and with no pressure), I went ahead and booked my surgery for a week after my consultation. They could have actually gotten me in even sooner if my schedule as able to accommodate it!
Highlights of the preparations/​procedure/​healing process:
1) You can’t wear contacts for the 3 days prior to surgery.
2) On the day of the surgery, you’ll need to bring a driver with you. Your vision is blurry after surgery.
3) I was nervous going in and they offered me 5mg of Valium. Wow! I was super, super relaxed! I was a little bit hungry after the procedure and by the time I got home, I was so out of it (from the Valium), I was practically eating with my nose. Take their advice and eat something light (but not-​too-​light or too long) before surgery.
4) You can pay in full or half on the day of surgery and pay the rest in a few installments. I went with the bladeless surgery for $ 4,000 (versus bladed for $ 3,000). This includes enhancements if needed in the first year, all your eye drops for healing and follow-​up appointments. Just think all-​inclusive. Enhancements are $ 250 per eye up to 3 years after surgery. The surgery fixes astigmatism, too, which I had a bit of in one of my eyes.
5) Before surgery, pick up some artificial tears because I used up the ones they gave me in the first day. I always have a bottle of Systane around and picked up a bottle of TheraTears and a box of Oasis Tears Plus. The latter are the best and most expensive (cheapest I could find was $ 28 for 30 individual-​use vials — online). Just keep these drops accessible in case you need to flush something out of your eyes.
6) Surgery itself was SO fast (15 minutes?) and I felt zero pain and discomfort. The best way I can describe the experience is how one of Dr. Lee’s assistant described it. It was like how Hollywood depicts alien abductions. Look up at the green light and they’re coming down for you. And then surgery is over. Haha. I think I was in and out of the clinic in an hour (and that includes pre-​op and post-​op).
7) I was good to drive myself to my follow-​up appointment the day after surgery. I felt good. I had light sensitivity for a total of 2 hours after opening my eyes for the first time. Hardly any discomfort in my eyes except that eyelash-​in-​my-​eye feeling in my right eye and I was able to see more clearly than with my contacts. That eyelash-​in-​eye feeling lasted a week and a half for me which is normal, I was told. I decided to take it easy for about 48 hours. On day 3, I did a silly thing and went whale-​watching with our speed boat moving fast and crazy wind blowing in my eyes between my sunglasses and face. Not wise of me so don’t do that. Haha. No damage done though because I did good at my 1-​week follow-​up appointment at the Los Angeles clinic. ;)
8) You have to apply steroid drops and antibiotic drops in your eyes four times per day for up to two weeks. They make you feel like you’re doing good for your healing process. I’m also taking fish oil supplements to help with my tear quality and all. The dry-​eye feeling is getting better each day.
In a nutshell, I feel like Dr. Lee and his staff took very good care of me. No regrets about not having gotten a second opinion at all and confidently recommend anyone considering LASIK to visit him at either his Sherman Oaks or Los Angeles clinics. They’re both state-​of-​the-​art gorgeous (and smell like amazing spas).

Amazing!!! I do not typically Unilocal (although I should a start a little) but I had to share pleasant experience with Dr. Lee and the entire CCRS staff; special shour out to Jenifer as she was my, «liason» and made it a plwasn’t experience from start to finish.
I have been wearing glasses since I was eight years old so I have worn glasses for almost a quarter century. I had my consultation on August 1 and I had my lasik surgery yesterday.
From the moment you enter, you notice the clean and very nicely decorated office. Every member of the CCRS team is friendly and welcoming and always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. Beforehand I had done the research and familiarized myself with the different lasik machines to know which models are the best and I can tell you, they use the most up to date machines for the procedures.
I was able to meet Dr. Lee on the day of my consultation which was not the case at any other lasik facility I visited and from what I can tell is not the norm. That though, was a great comfort as Dr. Lee has great «bedside manners» and is very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions.
Had my surgery yesterday and morning and could immediately see (literally) the results. I went back a few hours later to check on the flap that was created and all was fine and I tested at ²⁰⁄₂₅. You do experience some mild pain or better said, discomfort on day one. It is nothing that the numbing drops can’t handle (although I was trying not to use the numbing drops, just tried to deal with it). Upon waking today, my vision was clearer than yesterday (surgery day) and any pain or discomfort is practically gone. My eyes feel a little sensitive to light and also they feel slightly tender but feel much better.
Ultimately, I would highly recommend Dr. Lee and give thanks to him and the entire staff. I would consider them to have first class treatment with the latest technology and highly skilled doctor. You won’t regret getting your lasik here and if your reading this, I think it’s safe to say, good luck!

Dr. Lee is a miracle worker. My surgery was one of the most complicated ones to perform, given my nearsightedness and astigmatism conditions. He performed one surgery and got it right the first time; I didn’t need a second procedure. Dr. Lee, and also his staff, explained the procedure, expectations, and all the future risks that I had to be aware of. They discussed my existing conditions and any future steps that I had to take; unlike any other Dr. that I visited. I knew exactly what I was getting myself into before walking in the operation room.
His staff is super friendly and caring. All my appointments were on time and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room to be seen by the Dr. The office is of high-​end facility and patients receive high-​end service as well.

I have no words to explain how happy I have been ever since I got my Lasik surgery with Dr. Paul Lee. After wearing glasses for most of my life, it has been such a relief not having to look for my glasses as soon as I wake up, or wearing contacts whenever I go for a run. I am so happy with the results that I have recommended him to some of my friends who were thinking about getting Lasik and so far three have done it and one is scheduled for January. I actually went to Dr. Lee because my fiancé got his surgery done with him, too. Thank you Dr. Lee and your amazing staff for changing my life.

I am beyond happy… Ecstatic is the word to describe my feelings about my result. Always wanted to have Lasik for years but was too afraid due to the scary stories & Dr. Oz even made it even worse lol… but all my friends are having it done & all of them are extremely pleased with the results. I did a thorough research & went with the Dr. Who did my bestfriend’s eyes & a lot of my co-​workers eyes, Dr. Paul Lee… Indeed it is not a cliché when people say that «My only regret is I did not do it sooner». I don’t discount the experience of those who had bad results from yesteryears from other doctors but I am just sharing my own Lasik experience with Dr. Paul Lee.
My anxiety & nervousness was extremely disproportionate to what I actually experienced hahaha it was more painful to watch the You Tube videos than the actual surgery itself… those videos thwarted my Lasik plans for yearssss hahaha my advice-don’t watch those videos hahaha. I had the bladeless lasik… Din’t even feel the pressure some people are saying, just flashes of lights…0-nada pain at all.
1. Front Desk — they can get busy but never cranky, always pleasant accomodating & helpful. Very professional not the typical kind that you can sense that gossip about you or your infos when you turn your back or makes you feel that you are bothering them.
2. The Nurses — beyond pleasant, sweet and knowledgeable; I can be bothersome & OCD with my concerns/​questions yet they are very patient and genuinely nice and most of all were able to answer all my concerns to my satisfaction.
3. The Male Surgery Assistant — special mention :) I thought I was in heaven lol… Very gentle, pleasant, calming and beyond helpful… Assist you with your every step, blanket, walking, reassures you, guides you, makes sure you are comfy, etc.
4. Dr. Paul Lee — heaven sent, miracle worker… very pleasant, accomodating and most of all he knows Eyes, he knows what he is doing and delivers consistent excellent results… Lasik-​ed more than a handful of my friends … & each and everyone were extremely happy and now I am one of them… Need I say more :)

For someone who had been severely nearsighted for almost thirty years, I wavered back and forth about getting the LASIK procedure since 2001. After a good friend of mine got hers done with Dr. Lee, I finally decided to go through with it myself. I could not be more pleased with the results. My only regret is that I did not do it earlier in life. The staff is exceptionally professional and competent. They do a superb job in calming any last-​minute nerves one may experience. From top to bottom, this office is run at a top-​notch level.

My vision seems to continue to improve and I think that I’m seeing better than ²⁰⁄₂₀ now. It’s really crazy! The staff was so professional explaining every step of the way. Dr. Lee is truly an expert who definitely knows what he’s doing. As nervous as I was lying on that surgery table, I felt complete confidence in him during the entire process. I asked for and they gave me some extra valium to sleep if off on the day of the surgery and woke up seeing everything. Although there was some fuzziness in the beginning as the explained to me that seemed to improve on a daily basis. I am the type that checks and rechecks things before jumping in especially for something like eye surgery, but I really couldn’t find anyone who offered the entire package. I am so glad that I chose Dr. Lee and am recommending everyone to him.
