Papa John’s makes pretty good pizza, pretty quickly, and consistently comes through — if you are unhappy, talk with them! They WILL make it right, which is *awesome*. Good crust, good sauce, nice toppings, and fast, fast, fast!

CARRYOUT: Consistently good, fast, and friendly on weeknights before 10pm. Bonus points for the Ed Norton lookalike.
I never had any problem with this store, I love their lunch special $ 5.99 including bottle drink.

I decided to revise my review to a lower rate because one, the last time that I picked up my pizza it had a missing slice. Two, they never give you Parmesan and crushed pepper unless you ask them and I always forget to ask. After I didn’t feel good about this place, I found out other brands give you the same specials as papa johns give to loyal customers.

Store #3169 Wooooooowwwwww… Never had such a poor customer service experience from a Manager and her staff. Spoke with MANAGERJANE this evening in regard to one of her employees misinforming us on delivery/pick-up time frames. After speaking with her, Papa Johns has now lost a 32yr old customer FORLIFE! Customer Service is the most important role in any product/service based business and this Papa Johns has devalued my business and I will no longer patronize their product. I was told that delivery was open until midnight but pick-up was cut off at 11pm. As long as a call was place by 10min until 11pm, pick-up would be allowed. Upon calling, at 10:30pm, we were told that pick-up closed at 10pm! WHAT!!! Then why would your employee tell us something completely different? We asked to speak to a manager to discuss the situation and find a solution. We have no problem continuing our order(of $ 25 plus for pizza…) but would appreciate a delivery fee comped since we were misinformed by YOUREMPLOYEE(who we were told was a «new girl.» MANAGERJANE explained that she had«no way of knowing if her employee even said what I was claiming and that I wasn’t just lying to her.» — Really? Your customer is lying to you? That’s how you keep sales at your location? Nice business etiquette — Clearly a business school graduate. After confirming that she had no intention of making any concessions to keep my business after her poorly trained staff(no doubt due to such inspirational and professional examples she sets for them) I asked if she was prepared to lose a customer over a delivery charge? Her comment was, «I have no way to discount or remove anything and the delivery charge must be included, I’m so sorry you had a bad experience.» Here’s a tip, save a sale and satisfy your customers, certainly don’t accuse them of lying and defend a staff that is poorly trained. If a customer has an issue or concern and feels that you, your staff or your company has provided poor service, product quality or a lack of professionalism, make EVERY effort to ensure that you can at least make them feel heard and run a cost/benefit analysis of whats worse… $ 10-$ 20 delivery fee, or 30yrs of future pizza ordering. Sorry Papa John and Peyton Manning, you have now lost a customer due to the Sherman Oaks 4959 Van Nuys Blvd. location and MANAGERJANE. Best of luck to your business. — Jason

They were really nice on the phone… even made me laugh and added more toppings on my pizza. Most happy about the delivery… It got here within 25 mins BUT, the pizza was horrible.

What can I say other than I really like papa johns Pizza. I have been to nearly all of the stores in the San Fernando valley and this one takes care of me during work. My online orders are always prompt and it’s always fresh out of the oven. «better ingredients better pizza papa johns»

Haven’t had Papa John’s in years because their pizza is so effing awful. But decided to give it another shot, hoping that time had healed all wounds in my esophagus. Welp, won’t make that mistake again. Awful-tasting pizza is still awful-tasting pizza, no matter how much garlic sauce you offer to smother it in.

First bad order: the cheese was all over the box. whatever it’s cheap pizza who cares. Second bad order: there was a hair baked into the cheese, I called and talked to a really nice and apologetic manager. It was gross but I ended up forgetting about it. Anyway, months pass and we order again(I had forgotten about the pubes @ that point) There was a small misunderstanding with our order that could have been cleared up if the manager on the phone had said«oh I’m so sorry let me help» or some variation on that rather than«Well It’s YOURFAULT» She was so hostile and unprofessional. Blame the customer? really? After telling the girl she was in the wrong line of work for her bad, unhelpful attitude and trying to get her to stop yelling and LISTEN to her customer. I remembered…“wait isn’t this that place I got that nasty pube pizza from?” Why am I even bothering? I will NEVER come here again! Just imagine what they’d do to my pizza now… Anyway I’m over this place just take my advice and stay away they’re gross and rude.

I’ve been ordering take out and delivery from this location for the last 5 years. Online and over the phone. I’ve never had any problems. All the employees in store and delivery drivers are great. People leaving bad reviews are too damn picky. Good pizza made by cool people.

I honestly can’t believe the bad reviews either. I swear I ordered my pizza online, when to pay down, turned on the TV, and boom! I got a call saying my pizza was out front. Or at least it felt that fast. It was like 20 minutes though. Pizza was hot, everything came exactly as ordered and it was delicious! Perfect experience! Will definitely order from again.

Wow! I can’t believe all the negative reviews, I have been ordering from this store for years and they have never screwed up my order. The drivers are always really nice, and they never have a problem finding my place. Most of the time I place an order ahead online and it always arrives at the time I specify. I do tip really well, so maybe that’s an incentive to get it right. I always order extra sauces, and they have never failed delivering those.

I live less than 5 minutes walking distance from this Papa John’s. I ordered my pizza about an hour and half ago, online. When the pizza came, I took one bite before I noted the right ingredients are not on it. So I called the store immediately, and explained that I have had one bite, it is the wrong pizza, and politely asked to have the right one delivered. They said they would send another. More than half an hour went by again, and I was still waiting. So I called again… They said the driver is leaving. Minutes later he showed up and brought the new pizza but funny thing is that he asked for the old pizza back, and he took it back with him! I couldn’t believe it. I have never seen a Pizza shop take back a wrong pizza they brought. May be somebody should teach this boy about a common concept called«COURTESY» or «CUSTOMERSERVICE» before they send him off to work… Seriously!

Ok, I ordered from this joint last night as I wanted something different then my usual PizzaHut. No, I didn’t look here first… I should have tho! Despite there only being one reveiw from 2013, the poor reviews are warranted. The breakdown… I order online, a couple of pies. One big gripe here, you have to prepay online unless your using cash. Why should I have to prepay for food that may or may not be right when I arrive? I digress. I Drive to their horribly designed parking lot after about 20min to pick them up. Walk in, show my card and sign before I get anything. Which leads to another gripe, they could care less about you or your order while your there. So I’m handed my pies and I leave, thinking«It’s Papa John’s, I shouldn’t have to worry». Wrong! I get home, open the pies and find both pies lacking the complete compliment of ordered, and paid for, toppings for one. One pie was very skimpy on sauce as well. Both were skimpy on meat toppings as a whole. But I thought Papa John was trustworthy… His claims are«Always Fresh; Better Ingredients, Better Pizza» Then I order and get shown another story… Then I read up and realize this guy is heavily involved in Politics. Well that explains it… He’s an a-hole who really doesn’t give a rats… If you want«Better Ingredients, Better Pizza», please, go elsewhere! Hell, buy a DiGiorno from the frozen food section before you go here… The only reason it wasn’t a one star, it was edible…

Ever had one of those lazy Sundays where you didn’t want to do ANYTHING? Well that’s almost every Sunday at my house and my room mates and I were too lazy to cook anything so we ended up getting a delivery from Papa Johns. We ordered here couple of times but particularly this past weekend, the service at Papa John’s was great. First of all, the new competitive pricing on pizza these days are just insane. $ 11 for any specialty pizza?! I just hope these pizza corporations keep on pecking at each other until we get more absurd prices for a whole pizza pie! The delivery service came within 20 minutes and the delivery man was extra nice! For fast service and cheap pizza, our Sunday’s are hitting a new laziness!
