Mr and Mrs Dog

My dog Boca comes to Mr. and Mrs. Dog and he loves it (and so do we)! The owner is so sweet and friendly. The place is very clean and pleasant. My dog has been to multiple groomers and he is usually scared but here he doesn’t come out scared when we come and pick him up. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Dog! I would recommend you to anyone!

1^st time here and we felt very welcomed and Theresa the groomer listened to what I requested. Jax my multipoo came out looking and smelling great. Plus they had him in and out in under 2 hrs (on a Sunday) Thank you Vladimir and Theresa We will be back!

It was my first time coming here. And I was not disappointed. As soon as I walked in Vladimir greeting us, and he was so warm and friendly. You can tell he loves animals. I asked for a short trim since my pup (Ren) had never had a cut before and I love his long hair. I just needed a little off his eyes and enough for him to just look clean and not look shabby. They did an amazing job. They did exactly what I asked for. Will definitely be coming here again for Ren’s grooming. Highly recommended.

The woman who does the grooming is great and knows my dog well. She knows exactly what kind of cut I like for my dog. However, I am not fond of the owner. The price first of all keeps going up ($ 65 cut, shampoo and nails cut). Other places go for $ 45 – 55. Secondly, your poor dog is left in the cage for hours (2 – 4 hours) before you can pick them up and after I drop off my dog. I hope they have water in the cage for the dogs! The last time I was there was the turning point. I was the first customer and the owner took my dog and placed her in a cage with the freaking lights off!!! I understand you want to conserve energy or maybe be cheap. But, really, my dog is already terrified of being in cage/​groomer and she has to be placed in the dark?!! I asked him to turn the lights on for her and he did but still!!! Would you want your dog placed in a cage and left in dark room?!! I will not be returning and looking for another groomer.

This place is awesome! The owner & staff are so lovely & loving to your animals & their care for your pet & love of what they do really stands a head above the rest. Hands down, this is my fav groomer in the valley & maybe even all of LA! Our first visit was the first time ever my Pom, Louis didn’t leave his bath & grooming appointment traumatized. He was happy & definitely the softest & most fluffy Pom on the block. Mr. & Mrs. Dog is the best & I’ll be a loyal customer forever. Well done!

We have taken our shih-​you here twice now. And can honestly say she has received the best haircut ever both times! They truly love your dog here, it’s very clear to see. I cannot recommend them enough!

Its taken 9 months to calm down mr and mrs dog are responsible for killing my dog max the saturday before Christmas we are simple heart broken theresa cried with me but that valdmire was so unconcerned just cold he didnt care that i lost my baby it not my fault was his alitude. I had an appointment and my dog jumped out of theresa arms and ran out door because it was five customers dropping off dogs somebody open the door there was no safty gate valdmire was just counting money not safety for the animals who could get killed on ventura blvd. I will never forgive them
You better watch out if your dog get nevous and jump out of their hands there are no safe guard to protect your pets if the door open there’s only ventura blvd death
i wanted to sued him but i couldn’t put a dollar amount on my baby i raised from the day he pop out into this world. i love you MAX forever

This place was great! My lil guy Rolex does not like baths nor strangers! He growls & tries to bite! Yikes !! They were so nice & accommodating. They were able to wash him & make him so beautiful. He was so happy when I picked him up! Smelled amazing & the price was $ 45! Very fair I thought !! I will be going back for sure!

I recently rescued my first long haired dog. I’ve heard so many horror stories about bad groomers so I had no idea of what to expect for his first grooming experience. I was nervous like I was dropping a kid off at school. Mr and Mrs Dog had great reviews and literally 3 minutes from my house so I gave them a chance.
About an 2 hours later I received a call that Jasper was ready. I pulled into the parking lot and was greeted by Vlad. He said «if you don’t bring Jasper back I will come looking for you, I LOVE HIM,» Haha! I was so relieved since Jasper still has puppy manners! He loved it there and came out looking like a completely different dog! The groomer did an amazing job, telling me what his problem areas are and what he likes.
This is going to be my dog salon forever! Thank you Mr and Mrs Dog!

I absolutely love them here! They are so so nice and you can just tell they’re very good people with good hearts. I just moved from woodland hills so I needed a new groomer for my dog. He’s very shy, timid and doesn’t like meeting new people, but he was okay and they did an amazing job! He smells so fresh and clean and I got everything done for him (teeth brush, anal glands ect.) and it was my kind of price! :) definitely found our new groomers.

I love this place, but more importantly, my dog Charlie loves this place. These groomers clearly make a comforting environment because every time I pull up with my puppy, he can’t wait to get in. He runs straight to whoever is there to groom him and I’m on my way.
Because of how happy my dog is before and after getting groomed, I really think the prices here are fair. Yes, you can go to petco for cheaper, but I’ve heard many bad stories. Charlie’s nails are always neat and after 18 months of grooming I’ve had little to no issues AT ALL.
I highly recommend coming here with all of your pets!

Today was my first time getting my pup groomed at Mr. And Mrs. Dog and I’m so happy with the way Gizmo looks. They did a great job. Mo was so nice and came out to talk to me about why she groomed him the way she did. He got a super cute Halloween bandana. The owner was so super nice. I’m so happy I found a place this place!

Just had a very unpleasant experience with the owner of this business, and I wasn’t even patronizing his business (and absolutely never will after this encounter). I pulled up to park in the common parking lot which this business and the postal center next door share (which I was visiting) share. After parking, I sat in my car for about a minute, sending a text to my husband. Mid text, I felt eyes on me and looked up to see an old man standing on the stoop of the back porch of Mr. And Mrs Dog. He was completely still, glaring at me with a mean look on his face. Mildly irritated but confused, I went to complete my text. When I looked up to gather my things, the man had gone inside the door but was still staring at me through the back window of the door. Now perturbed, I stared directly at back him and mouthed «What are you staring at?» At this, the man disappeared from the window. I stepped out of my car with my packages, heading toward the back door of the postal center. Right on cue (obviously watching from inside his store, waiting for me to exit), the man approached me and pointed to a small sign at the foot of the double-​long space) «No parking for postal center!» I said, «Sorry, didn’t see that. Won’t do it again.»
I respect this business owner’s right to keep his parking spots for his customers; that’s not the issue at hand. Had he used his words like a grown-​up, he and I would’ve had a relatively pleasant exchange where I would’ve realized my error, quickly apologized, and then moved my car.
I urge you not to patronize this business (or any other) where the owner lacks not only manners, but uses intimidation rather than courteous words to speak to others, customer or not.

This was my second time going here, and never again.
About an hour after I dropped off my Maltese, one of the man working there called me and said that my dog had A LOT of fleas and wanted to get my OK to give her the fleas bath, and that it was going to be $ 20 more.
I was so worried so I said yes. Then once they were done, a different man called me and said I can come and get her. I asked about the fleas, and this man said yeah she had SOME fleas.
Guess what? I took her to the vet and she never had ANY fleas.
Liar. Do not trust.

I have a 2 year old mixed breed (Lowchen/​Rat Terrier) named Oliver. He’s the sweetest, most adorable dog – except when someone tries to bathe, brush, snip, wipe, or tend to him in any way. Then, he turns into his Evil Twin. The one time I tried, the groomer tried to clip him for 5 hours with no success and three bites. I was politely advised not to bring him back. His bangs had grown over his eyes, his beard was unkempt and his belly was getting matted. I did an internet search and found Teresa. I told her everything and she was confident she could do what no one else had been able to.
She suggested I go in on a Tuesday, when it’s slow, to minimize the trauma.
Not only did she succeed, but it only took her about an hour! I couldn’t have been more thrilled. My dog is clean and neat! He didn’t seem traumatized at all. He was abused as a puppy, so that is extremely important to me.
In addition to the great grooming job, I felt totally welcomed by the owner. They have definitely earned my loyalty and I’m happy to recommend them to anyone.

We have a 9 month old Maltipoo who is a bit difficult because she hasn’t gotten used to the whole grooming experience yet, and she has a bit of separation anxiety, we are trying to work on both issues — she’s still a puppy, but neither are unmanageable for someone with experience. Well, we found the right place!
We called on a Sunday morning to see if it was even possible to get an appointment for the same day (fully expecting to get turned down), and much to our delight, they got us in at 11:00 am! When we walked in, we were greeted by a nice older gentleman who was just so lovely and immediately came around the desk to greet us and our little one. After we filled out our form, he called the groomer over, I believe her name is Teresa, and she was just as sweet and super patient. We chatted with them for a little bit on what our needs were and explained to her why getting her groomed has been such an issue in the past, none of which phased her at all, lol! When she put her in a kennel and noticed she started to whine and bark (separation anxiety), she came over to us and offered to groom her right away so it makes for a more positive experience for her to be ok with going to get groomed. I am not saying they will offer that to everyone, and of course it all depends on how busy they are, but just the fact that they did that for us wins some major bonus points with us!
We left there feeling comfortable and even excited that they were taking care of our little pup instead of complete anxiety like we had before with other groomers. …and of course when we came to pick her up, she looked like a whole new dog! Teresa did such a fabulous job and exceeded our expectations! The cute little bows in her hair were a cute addition to the amazing cut she got! Everything seemed fine, she wasn’t traumatized or hurt and the customer service you receive from them both is soooo worth it!
…and to top it off, it was only $ 55 for a full grooming service, totally worth it! I am so happy we have finally found a place we trust to take our crazy pup!
*they also have a great dog boutique full of leashes, collars, clothes, etc — we will definitely be buying her Halloween costume here! ;)

The groomer seemed really nice, however the shaver was either too hot or too close to my dogs privates and she was in pain for a week, I had to put a lot of antibiotic treatments to avoid infection (and she doesn’t exactly wear pants around the house). I called them and told them. The haircut was cute but my dog’s suffering was not.

Ok, so I’m the Fur Mom whose afraid to take her Pom anywhere new because of the horrible experiences I’ve had. I used to take my Pom to the Petsmart groomers and after 3 bad cuts, I couldn’t continue using them. So I’ve been religiously reading help reviews in my area and stumbled upon Mr&Mrs and decided to give them a shot from all the good reviews. I’m very glad I did.
First, it says their hours are 9 – 5, but Vladimir said it’d be ok if I dropped him off at 8am because I work. Then, when I got there, Vito (My Pom) immediately warmed up to him, these people really love dogs!
Next, I was worried they would charge more because of Vito’s undercoat, but nope just a flat $ 55! Compared to paying 70 – 80 for a nightmare! Now that’s for the bath, nails clipped, cut, ears cleaned, Ect. Last, my Pom came out looking like the teddy bear I exactly asked for. Not only that, he didn’t want to leave Vladimirs side! I loved that he was comfortable and happy there. And to top it off they gave him a cute little bandana to make mommy smile even more. I recommend this place with flying colors. I will definitely be returning!

I have been going to Mr. and Mrs. Dog to bathe my two boxers for a couple years now. I always call last minute and 75% of the time, Vlad gets me in that same day. The other 25% he offers the next day if they’re really busy. The gal who does the actual bathing (her name escapes me) is so sweet and I can tell she loves dogs, including mine. Relatively cheap too!
The shop is in a very convenient location right on Ventura Blvd. Ever since that café moved in a couple doors down, street parking has become scarce, but all I need is that 5 minute loading spot right in front to drop off and pick up the dogs. They also have a spot in the alley if you need it.
