This woman did an amazing job on my hair and completely made me feel comfortable before making any changes. My hair looks and feels amazing and because of that I feel amazing. I love that she explained every step of the way and from looking at a picture, she completely gave me exactly what I wanted and more. Im so in love with my hair I seriously couldn’t stop looking at myself in every mirror that I found, even on the way to the car. I recommend this woman doing your hair BIG TIME! She’s the REAL MVP!!! Lol These words here though cant even really explain my reaction to my hair or my experience but you should definitely get your hair done by Cindy.

I used to go to Beverly Hills for super, super overpriced hair cuts. Then I found Cindy who is in the valley, more conveniently located, and does a far superior job for a reasonable price. She really knows how to match a cut to your face and style. I always feel great after getting cut by Cindy. She is a pro at texturizing, shaping and styling hair. On top of this, she’s vey down to earth and is a kind thoughtful and funny person. Couldn’t imagine a better stylist.

I have been going to Cindy for several years now and she is the absolute greatest. She cuts men’s hair really well and is always open to new suggestions or to giving me ideas on new styles to try. But she will do whatever you want. The best part about Cindy though is that she is a genuinely nice person. She’s easy to talk to. We have a great time chatting away while she cuts my hair and always have lots of laughs.
You would be nuts to get your hair cut by anyone else. Cindy is the very best there is!!!

I’d been a natural redhead for nearly 20 years before I finally made the big decision to dye my hair dark… and Cindy made it happen. Of course, it wasn’t easy for me to pick/​trust a stranger to do something so out of my comfort zone… but after reading her reviews on Unilocal and being charmed by her spunky, edgy icon photo, I had a gut feeling that she was the one – and man, was I right. She did exactly what I wanted and made me feel so comfortable and confident along the way. The color is perfect and looks completely natural and healthy. She makes you feel truly cared for and consoled… which is actually quite rare! I’ve found/​heard so many stories about hairstylists who don’t check in with their client and just do what THEY think is right and just want to breeze through it and get it done… but Cindy treats her work as an art. Cannot thank her enough for making my brunette dreams come true!

I LOVE CINDY!!! She just «gets it» — she is so current, and cool, and willing to try anything and work with you until you are happy. She is a true artist, and takes her work so personally. She really understands how to play with color, which is great since I have to change mine a lot for my work! She is so careful to make sure it doesn’t damage my hair and always makes the experience fun. She is also the best hair CUTTER I know– seriously, I have had every style. And have had to go back and match styles and she is able to perfect the look every time. Cannot recommend her enough. A PLUS!

I have been a brunette my entire life and wanted to go platinum blonde. I’m in a rock band and wanted an edgier look but was nervous to do anything to my hair. I found Cindy from reviews on Unilocal about how amazing her coloring skills are and got her on the phone. We talked on the phone before I even met her for about 20 minutes-​about her process and what we wanted to do to get the right look for me.
She’s down to earth, super chill and talks you through everything she is about to do to your head. She even ran out of the salon to put money in my meter while I was under a heat lamp. Lady’s got skills. Have been to her 3 times now and I can’t see myself going to anybody else. Can’t even recall how many compliments I’ve received about my color, cut and style. Love Cindy! And you will too :)

Very happy with my hair!
For the record I hate getting my haircut, colored, etc. But for the last couple times I’ve had to get it done I’ve gone to Cindy at Dej. She rules. She definitely knows her stuff… and it shows. I’ve got other friends that go to her and they have always been beyond satisfied. And she’s cool so the time in the chair flies by. And she has a great sense of style if you don’t know exactly what you want. Very happy with the cut and natural looking color (to keep the greys at bay)…highly recommended!

I have very thin hair and need highlights to make it appear thicker. I had the same stylist for 20 years but she has never been able to get it right thus causing more treatments for my already damaged hair. So I went to the internet to find a new stylist. After all the great reviews I read about Cindy I decided to give her a try. She talked to me about the best option for my hairs situation and went over pictures to make sure that we were on the same page. Then she presented the plan. before she started, after taking another look, she changed the plan. I appreciate that she took all my concerns into consideration before starting. To make a long story short, she got the color right the first time, causing minimal or no damage, she recommended 2 products to maintain the color and repair damage. I have used them both and love them. My hair looks and feels great! I’m very happy and will go back to see her when the time comes. I would definitely recommend her.

Being a makeup artist, it is very important for me to look good from head to toe. My profession demands this and my hair style is an extension of myself and who I am as a makeup artist. Cindy is a true artist when it comes to hair and coloring. She has been cutting and coloring my hair now for over a year and I can not live without her. I love being blond and my hair tends to go brassy. Cindy not only selects the perfect color of blond for my skin tone, but she helps me maintain the color until my next appointment by advising me on which products to wash my hair with. Very rare with hair stylist these days. I am adventurous with my hair and it is wonderful to give her an idea of what I want then let her expand upon it. She ALWAYS cuts my hair in a way that is so very artistic and suits my personality which is something I desire in a hair stylist. She understands the importance of face shapes, hair texture and skin tones! This is what makes the difference from a good hair stylist to a great hair stylist ! She is one of the greats!!! I recommend her for all hair types, men and women. Long hair styles to very short cuts.

Cindy is a phenomenal stylist.
Let’s flip it and reverse it and take into account the venue. The salon is a lovely location in Studio City that looks gorgeous and is well maintained.
Now let’s focus on Cindy’s excellent work. I am a client who comes in for a simple «buzz» haircut but regardless, Cindy takes care to ensure that the cut is perfect.
I may be speaking from a certain cut style, but my goodness; she is a lovely person to have your hair cut by.
What strikes me most is her attention to detail; no matter the style, not to mention she has a lovely personality to converse with.
Highly recommended, believe me.

I came to Cindy because of my good friend’s high recommendations and raves about her and her skills. I am very glad I came. She really listened to what I wanted & my concerns. She asked follow up questions to make sure we were both on the same page about the plan. I did not come in with any visuals to help communicate what I wanted, something that I usually do but this time around I didn’t since I wanted something new but nothing too different. Once I got to the salon, I was sifting through some mags and found a few pics that showed what was in my head. In any case, this really helped communicate what I was thinking and I think really helped Cindy understand me better and give me the awesome cut she did. So bring inspiration pics!
The salon is very nice, modern, and in a good location.
OK, back to Cindy; I really enjoyed my time in the chair with her. She is very easy to talk to, not only about hair but all sort of things. She really is a people person and very good at hair. We talked about a future visit involving some color. I am looking forward to it.

I went with my boyfriend to Cindy because I read all the wonderful reviews people have written. Either she has a lot of friends that write reviews for her or she pays people because she did a horrible job! Worst hair cut ever and soooo overpriced. If i could give 0 stars i would.

I love going for hair cuts now. Yes, my wallet hurts afterwards. But Cindy’s worth it. She’s warm and very attentive. I’m glad I found her. My hair always looks great afterwards. If only I’d do my part and maintain it.
She’s great w/​long cuts. My hair is now medium length with bangs. So, yes, she’s great with bangs and helping you try something different.
Appointments recommended. I haven’t been lucky in getting same-​day appointments.

The True definition of a stylist is Cindy. She is absolutely amazing. I use to think that men do not need stylist because how hard is it to get a good hair cut? Well I will tell you I was wrong. Cindy is so creative and she has great ideas about hair styles and cuts that really match each customer.
Her service is exceptional as she is always on time, no wait, no hassle. She makes you feel great and she has some great topics for discussions during your cut. She always takes her time and addresses any issues or concerns that I have.
Cant wait to go back, im long over due for a cut!

I can’t say enough good things about Cindy. I called Dej Salon to see if there was anyone there that could do fun, funky colors and they suggested Cindy to me. I went for my appointment and was blown away by how awesome she was! She knew exactly what i was talking about and was a perfectionist just like me! I walked out of there with the best cut and color I’ve ever had. She is not only a great hair stylist but is such a beautiful person, inside and out and really takes time with her clients to make sure they are happy! She even helped me get healthy in my life by suggesting a gluten free diet! She really does care!
I just moved an hour away and drove to see her friday for my cut and color. I wouldn’t trust anyone else and would drive 2 hours for her! :)

Cindy is the best! Not only is she adorable and super sweet, but she really knows her chosen profession! I went for a color, cut, and sexy style, as I was going out for my birthday. I told her that I no longer wanted hi-lite’s because my hair was too damaged for them and I needed darker hair to make it look healthier. I told her that I wanted it to be a chocolatey brown. Mission accomplished! My hair came out exactly the way I wanted it to; a rich, gorgeous, chocolatey brown with a golden undertone. Stunning! I really felt that this was achieved simply because she LISTENED.
Onto the cut. I told her that although I knew I needed a good cut since my hair was so damaged, I was trying to grow my hair out and wanted to keep as much length as I could. She also suggested a treatment for my hair since it was so damaged, and I agreed. By the time I was done, my dry, damaged hair was transformed into soft, bouncy, sex– kitten hair! The cut, color, and style took my breath away. I’m referring everyone!
Go see Cindy. You won’t regret it!

I called Dej Salon today for a haircut on the off chance they might be able to squeeze me in last minute.
A friendly and helpful receptionist answered, asked me all the right questions, and told me that they could take me at 6:45. Wow!
My stylist was Cindy and she exceeded my expectations. It could not have been a better match.
Cindy not only has a Rocking personality, she is great at what she does. I love my new haircut and have already made an appointment next week for color.

I don’t normally write reviews on Unilocal but in this case its different. She asked me to. I have been going to Cindy for a very long time now. I have followed her from 3 salons. That alone should tell you how much I dig her cuts. Last month, we changed my style up a bit and she nailed it. The day I flew to Japan, I made sure I had an appointment right before my flight. She really loves talking about movies too, so make sure and ask her what movies she has seen. Great Resource.
