I have a 2010 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T sedan for which I was told by the dealer that I needed both my front brake pads and my front rotors to be replaced, for which with labor would cost ~$ 1500. That was ridiculous knowing the prices of the OEM parts that would need to be replaced. I found Gomora on Unilocal and I thought I would give it a shot, and I am very satisfied with their service. Not only was Jose very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to approach, he quoted me very reasonable prices and turnaround times (only 2.5 hours to do the job), and was more than willing to accommodate my very random schedule. I ended up getting OEM front pads and Zimmermann front rotors which all amounted just under $ 500 with labor and taxes, which is MUCH better compared to the dealer, plus there is also a guaranteed 1 year warranty. Thank you, Gomora Auto Service, will definitely be back and will be recommending your services to others!
Another plus, Jose’s wife was ever-​so-​kind to give me a ride to a nearby coffee shop once I dropped off my car, and she also picked me up once it was done! Now that is excellent customer appreciation and service.

I like most of you have to trust Unilocal reviews which is hard because you know a lot of them are done by employees or friends of the business — but I took a chance on Gomora Auto Service and couldn’t have been more thankful that I did!
We’re shopping for a modestly priced used car so I’ve taken 3 different vehicle to Gomora and they’ve all failed inspection — one was on the verge of a blown head gasket, one was in a rear end accident they ruined the frame and one had the computer wiped so it wouldn’t show the errors — Used car salesman are shaddy mofo’s! Always get used cars checked out by a pro — luckily we avoided buying these cars thanks to Gomora.

I’ve been using Gomora Auto Service for years because they are reliable, honest and affordable. The owner Jose and his wife are very hands on, great communicators and help me to find the most cost efficient solution to fixing the problem. They have serviced my Audi A4, then my BMW X3 and they’ve always done me right. After getting routinely hosed by crooked and inept dealer service centers (Center BMW, I’m looking at you!) it was such a relief to find a mechanic who I can really trust. Look no further for a competent and reliable mechanic — go see Jose and consider it done.

I have brought my Volkswagen GTI here twice for a routine checkup and couldn’t be more happy with the service. Jose Gomora and his team are very nice and know what they are doing. When I picked up my car both times Jose took the time to go over everything they had inspected and gave me his honest opinion on what could be replaced. Most places I have been to in the past would just replace parts even though they still had life in them and send you a large unexpected bill. I’m glad I found an honest mechanic with an awesome team so close to home.

They are few things in life that I absolutely have to count on when one has a used car; and a good mechanic is definitely one of them. Jose is not only the best who worked on my car; but he is honest and detail oriented.
His prices are very reasonable and he gives you a list by order of urgency. I am going back there for my car that I love from now on for oil changes and everything else!

After getting a bogus $ 2,000 estimate from the dealer, Jose and his team fixed my Dad’s car for just $ 200. Jose took the time to patiently explain, detail by detail, what the issues were and how he addressed them on a car with over 200k miles on it. He was thorough, patient and professional. And he did this in a the midst of a busy day, where he had fit us in to accommodate our schedules. Jose was also completely honest, including telling us what repairs we can wait on. He even offered to check the fluids in the car on a regular basis for no charge.

I have been going to Gamora ever since I got my my drivers license. He’s been taking care of my family for decades. I’ve never felt like I was being taken advantage of in any way.
Jose took my car in yesterday, fit all new tires before 6pm, and I didn’t even have an appointment. I had a gut instinct that my tires were not safe, so he made it happen, and didn’t charge me extra for the quick turn around. I feel much better driving my little one around!

I called up to see if I could get a ball park figure for how much it would cost to rebuild my Nissan Xterra engine and he was so helpful and spent close to 15 minutes on the phone with me giving me all possibilities and breaking down costs and explaining things to me. I hung up feeling very informed and able to make the right decision.
I sincerely appreciate his time and knowledge and recommend him to everyone! He won’t steer you wrong and he really knows his stuff!

I should update my review of Gomora Auto. You will recall that across the decades Jose and his team have worked on my Porsche, 2 Alfa Romeo’s, a Range Rover, a Discovery, and have looked at some other cars I have considered buying. In 2013 I bought a 1995 BMW 530i M60 automatic, production date 10/​1995, first registered 1÷19÷1996 (my wife’s 14^th birthday), black/​black, with 107,017 miles for … $ 2,100. As the price suggests, the 530i was on life support, but Jose did a leak down test of the 3 liter 215hp V-​8 engine and pronounced it sound. The usual oxygen sensor issue was cured as was the twisted front passenger seat. New radiator, new seals everywhere, brakes, a metal impeller for the water pump, Akebono pads, and I am pretty sure the 60 – 0 stopping distance was improved from the 130 foot factory spec. The A/​C was fixed. About a year after purchase Jose installed all 18 pieces of a Lemforder control arm kit from
($ 998.13 with shipping). The German brick has run absolutely great ever since. We take it in to Jose for even minor maintenance.
I will be writing again about Jose as I just took him a 1962 Land Rover Series IIa 109.

I have been taking my cars to Gomoras for years! They are honest & quick & do great work. Jose & his wife don’t talk down to women & gives you advice as to when to get things fixed. They don’t sell you repairs you don’t need. I have truly found an honest mechanics shop. I’m happy to go there!

There is no one I would recommend more highly than Jose Gomora. He and his crew are the absolute best at what they do. I now live out of state and miss them dearly. They are fair, honest, efficient, and thoroughly. They are everything you’d want your mechanic to be and more. Both Mr. Gomora and and his wife also happen to be two of the nicest and genuine people around. I always enjoyed talking with them.
Pricing was always fair and no one is more honest. He is straight forward in telling you about what repairs you need and others which you could do down the road. It felt good knowing I had an honest mechanic I could rely on and to feel the comfort that if anything went wrong with my car, I was covered and they would always take good care of me. I’d trust no one more with my auto service and repairs. There truly are none better.

Jose Gomora has been repairing VW for more than 35 years, 25 in his current location. There are many vehicle repair units in this complex within walking distance of Los Angeles Valley College. perfect for students to drop off and have some repairs or maintenance done while attending classes. He is an honest mechanic. I was having a horrible running sound and was concerned. It was a minor spark plug wire that kept falling off. THE EG Mobile, my traveling Plant your dream seed library just drove me down from the national heirloom expo hundreds of miles away. Glad to make a new friend for my very special vehicle with a big heart.

I don’t understand how this spot can have any reviews less than 5 stars!!! Jose & his wife are phenomenal to work with! You can really tell they run a stand-​up business and extremely trust-​worthy people! I will shout from the rooftops that this is your new mechanic, it sure is mine!!!
His quotes without seeing our 2007 Subaru Outback Wagon were extremely comparable, even a touch LESS. It took a few days more than I expected (because we had to order multiple parts, and the vendor took longer getting a couple of the parts to Jose than what the vendor told him it would take). Quality work from a reliable businessman! FEELING THANKFUL & HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Jose even requested we stop by at a later date so he could diagnose the leaks & his work. Also, one of my coworkers brought their vehicle to Jose & they were able to fix/​replace (?) their drive shaft SAME DAY (Friday none the less). I hope you (the reader) don’t have car issues, but of you do I would highly recommend Gomora!

Was quoted $ 30 to replace my headlight and brake light (which I have already purchased the bulbs). I, of course, called around for different pricing, and «Jullians» said they would do it for free if it wasn’t too difficult, but they were on the other side of town. I decided to call «Certified Collision» and Junior had quoted $ 10 maybe $ 20 depending on how difficult, but turns out… he did it for FREE!
I understand you gotta make some cash, but it only took 5 mins. So had he quoted me at $ 10 or even $ 20 I wouldn’t be writing this review.
