The guy who has been putting the mail away for 15 years found my mail. After 2 attempts to get my 3 weeks of mail I finally got it the 3^rd time. The guy who puts the mail away always made sure I was fine by display of his great customer service. I could see if it was busy and the other man I encountered didn’t have time to find it but it was not busy and that is what irratated me the most, especially since I drove from oakland stright to the mail box to pick up all that mail. Thank you guy who puts the mail away for 15 years for finding my mail.

I went there twice pleading for you to look and all you did was ignore me not going to the back to look like I requested, secondly it was only a month late I have been getting mail here since 2005. You customer service sucks. Don’t worry I will be moving my mail promptly.

Owner was nothing but a jerk. Very standoffish. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Honestly, I was so impressed today by their customer service. They were up front about a small surcharge that they added to the USPS Priority flat rate, after all they need to make a profit to operate. But then they proceeded to suggest a cheaper alternative of shipping my package while getting there at the same amount of time.
I was prepared to be annoyed at some point while doing the twenty different errands I needed to get done today, but this made my day.

They advertise notary services but there wasn’t anyone available to notarize a document when I was there and said try back tomorrow. Very misleading and a waste of my time.

I’m all about supporting small business owners but these guys are expensive! Almost $ 11 for 20 stamps and a credit card fee for anything under $ 5. Luckily I didn’t have to pay the fee, but they do sell cute handmade greeting cards for about $ 3 each. I would have been deterred if I just wanted the one card and had to pay the credit card fee.
But I’m still upset about the «handling» fees for the postage stamps.

I live close by from here. Based on my experience by going to UPS, USPS, FedEx, this mailbox center has the cheapest price.
It seems like all my packages that I have been sending from this place, all of them were delivered in a well timing and very well priced.
I just sent a birthday card to my dad which is in SouthEast Asia, it cost only $ 1.70 which if I sent it thru USPS, it could have cost me about $ 4-​$ 6.I can’t remember.
I am so glad that this place is really close to my place.
The service was great, I have to say, they don’t look like the nicest people ever but they are pretty straight forward and ask them questions and they’d answer you with a proper manner, so I don’t have complain.
The place seems a little bit weird at the first time though.
I sent a liquid package to North California, cost me about $ 13 something, I wrapped my package but the guy told me to put it into the box to be safe. He wrapped it for me w/​o complaint. It was a great feeling.
So far, I have known 2 guys from there, they are cool dudes.

I now drop my fedex packages off at Federal Mailbox Center despite the fact that there is a fedex/​kinkos less than 50 feet away. the fedex/​kinkos employees are morons who find it incapable of thinking for themselves beyond a script where as every time I go into Federal Mailbox Center I am greated by a smiling, pleasant employee who never fails to empathize with me about my frustration with their competitors 50 feet away. I would gladly continue to patronize this local business rather than give one dime to the national corporation within spitting distance

rude lazy employees. go elsewhere. they have an attitude and act as if we’re bothering them.

I’ve used this place to send packages locally and long distance and have been satisfied with the packaging and delivery results.
Recently I went to USPS to ship an item Express mail to AZ– and it got to the destination not overnight, but three days later! I will use this place for sending packages, especially overnight.
I’ve no comment on how their mail box system works.

Whoa… I’m looking at the other reviews so far, and it’s got a grade of a F in everyone’s eyes. I must have came at good times for the 3 times I’ve used this place.
The first two times, it was to have items ships to buyers from our ebay listing. The lady behind the counter was helpful in providing options on what size box to use as well as give free peanuts for me to use to pack the goods. Options were also discussed to see what way I wanted to ship the item, ie, with/​out confirmation, signature delivery, etc.
Just today, since it was past 1pm on a Saturday to ship out an item that needed to be returned from my own purchase, the lady was again helpful.
Not sure if I’ve only caught this place on good days then.

Over the many years I had a PO box they were always rude when I went inside. And when I opened the PO box they gave me keys but charged me a $ 20 «deposit». Upon closing recently, many years later, I was informed «Oh, that deposit is non-​refundable.» THEN IT’S NOT A DEPOSIT. A-​holes, all. Avoid at all cost.

If I could give zero stars, I would!
I went to mail a package for a friend Express Mail and they told me it would be $ 109. I was shocked, but whatever, I went for it, because it was my friends daughter who is in the military and well, it was important.
So I get back to the office and look online (just to see how the price compared) and see that the service is not available online at the Post Office. Hmmmm ??
So I call the post office and am told it can not be done. Now I am confused so I call Federal Mailbox Center and ask them about it. They take my number and say they will call the post office and look into it.
A few hours later I get a call back and am told YES, they can mail it. They do this all the time. But it will take 2 days to get there not overnight… YET… they charged me $ 109 for overnight. I say fine whatever. just get it out.
Now… 2 DAYS LATER… my friend gets a call and the package is STILL there and he is told it can’t be done and how much I spent on it (I never told him!). AND… it took 2 DAYS for them to get back to me.
So now 2 more days have passed. I have to go back there and get the difference of my money back. and quite frankly I am worried that the package might never arrive!
I understand people may make a mistake… but I SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE. and was told it was okay. Then, instead of calling me they call him. when I asked, I was told they didn’t have my number. Really? You called me back 2 days ago to tell me the package was good to ship out! You had my info from my credit card… WTH?
I don’t care how long the line is at the Post Office. I will just deal with it. This is utterly ridiculous. And more time has passed with this package NOT getting to the destination. I am so livid right now!!! Never again. Not sure what happened to this place. I used to go here all the time… never had an issue. Not anymore.

Honestly, I’m thinking anyone can have a bad day or a few of them. I’ve had a much better experience here recently than before. The staff is much nicer and more helpful! Thanks!

Horror Story. We terminated an executive of our corporation who happens to get mail to our PO box (for our corporation) along with personal mail for the owner. We called to have our mail put in another box and one thing lead to another an the owner of this Mail Box company said now. The box belonged to the guy we terminated. So as of one month ago our company mail, checks, tax docs and the personal mail of the owner has been given to this terminated Employee.
The owner of federal mail box said he was governed by the postal consumer affairs, we called and spoke to Sunny and she said not TRUE. After we figured out that what The owner was refering to was not Consumer Affairs but POSTAL consumer affiars. we did in fact get the correct organization, which we called !!! POSTAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS. Sunny says they look like a franchise and to try and hunt down their main franchise office and file complaints at that level.
The mailbox company owner said he had called the postal comm and they told him that we need to provide proof it was our box. Sunny said also NOT true, that they dont govern him because he is private mail center. LIE number 2.
So we provide
Corporate docs showing owner name (1 owner) from the state
Corporate Shares from the state
Confirmation that these same docs were used to remove terminated employee from corporate bank account and ever other vendor, service or contract the corporation was in. ALL OF THEM EXCEPTED THESE docs. this character says NO not good enough, and that NO bank would except the state filing docs. So we had the bank manager from Chase bank email us the very docs she used to remove this person. This guy then still says no. No we need a court order
HOOP AFTER HOOP. they ask for us something we provide, and then all of a sudden its not good enough. We asked for copies of their policies, and their contract. TO DATE NOT provide.
We have copies of the checks that paid him as well.
So this guy lied about talking to the postal consumer affairs, as Sunny said what we provided was absoutely enough.
To make this a bigger joke, guess what we provide the court to get a court order to get our mail THE VERY DOCS we gave him
I would also like to add that he left numerous messages on our machine, and Ive spoke to him numerous times I would say 50% of the time he sounded like was drunk if I dare say so.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. We have 1 other PO Box and we talked to the owner he said this guy is out of his mind, and making up everything he says.
We are in living hell!
TO DATE this guy is giving all our corporate and the owners mail to the terminated employee. Just because he walked down their and opened the account for the company while employed.
Did I also add that Larry Stein HUGE attorney in LA also provided a letter that the employee was terminated.
Today we called and said we would fax him the copies of checks and bills, GUESS WHAT HE SAID. His fax doesnt work
so if you need faxes sent. You should probably go somewhere else as well.
So HE hung up on us, twice today — said get a court order, we called back then he said we need to mail the copy of the check and the bill.
We dont have a copy of the contract only the bills, and OUR CHECKS that we paid with our company name.
I cant tell you the grief, debt and loss of revenue this guy has caused our company

I was in the neighborhood and saw the Notary sign so went in: the notary could be there in 10 minutes, and the single employee made a call. I ran next door to grab a coffee, and came back. No, the notary couldn’t be there till noon. Ok, I thought, I’ll get my nails done, and come back and I did. No the notary was not available. At this time, although I had brought in some envelopes that needed mailing, and they purport to handle mail there as well, the lovely employee now turned surly, and turned her back to me. So, what do you think? Do they even rate a star?
